Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 3,613 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Consumers frequently appreciate the wide variety of choices available across many popular independent brands and major retailers, finding the platform very convenient for organizing thoughtful presents for family and friends on special occasions. However, some customers also noted that navigating the website and converting the digital balances into specific store gift cards can feel overly complicated and somewhat dated. People frequently mentioned frustrating experiences with required spending increments, password issues, and redeeming lower values, making the entire redemption process much less straightforward than expected when trying to buy gifts for loved ones.

I’d rate The Lifestyle Gift Card 4 out of 5. The biggest downside was the website, which felt a little dated and wasn’t the most user-friendly. It could definitely benefit from being more streamline... See more

Redemption is a world of pain

Went to Boots to buy their own gift card - none available, so the employee suggested a Lifestyle card - the Boots card is straightforward to use and doesn’t involve anything more than presenting the card when making a purchase. The Boots’ employee should have warned me that Lifestyle was different… I bought the card as a gift for my elderly mother and the redemption process is a convoluted world of pain - I can only say never again!

*****When a bloody carry on AVOID*****

*****When a bloody carry on this company is*****

I purchased a digital gift card for £20 to top up the £480 I had in my account which would allow me to redeem in exchange for a £500 lastminute.com voucher.

1st issue - Message received stating that I had to wait 24hours before the £20 gift card could be used to allow for money laundering checks or similar!

What's this nonsense all about. When I buy a voucher from Amazon or another "high street" retailer it is available instantly.

2nd Issue - 24 hours pass - voucher is still not available
In order for the voucher credit to show i had to re-type the e-mailed voucher code and the pin. Why is this process not automated???????????

3rd Issue - OK , i thought I had cracked it. £500 now showing in my account - Ace, I'll go ahead and redeem for the Lastminute.com voucher and then I can go ahead and book my city break ........ WRONG.

"This retailer eGift Card is on hold for security checks" Another 48Hr wait required

WHY????????????????????

You've already satisfied yourself previously that the credit in my account has came from a legit source , why do you need to check again?

Still no holiday booked.

The website is an absolute fire in a pet shop to navigate also.

Beware hidden charges and attempts to void your gift cards

Beware - The Lifestyle company issue expiry dates that start from before you register a card with them, without any warning about when cards expire, and will then proceed to either refuse your gift card, or apply a 20% admin fee for reissuing a card.

This company is supposed to make giving money to others accessible and flexible, but it seems the model is actually to extract money from this process by ensuring as many people as possible fall for these tactics!
