Awful Con

Awful process - sent xbox which was working but with a potential fault. Based on that evidence they gave a trade in value of £70. Then came back with an offer of £0 and no explanation of the additional faults found - this section was left blank!!!

Terrible terrible terrible company

Terrible terrible terrible company. Have never seen anything like it. Fix my phone same day but messed up the address on the return label. My phone has been sitting fixed un a ups building 20 mins away from me for a week and a half now. I cant pick it up myself because of shipper restrictions and i have emailed likewise 5 days straight with no reply and no fix. I finally got them on the phone yesterday and they made a ticket that will take an additional 1 to 2 business days if they can even process that in a timely manner. Terrible service, very unprofessional and bothing against the person but i could barely understand them and they could really understand me either. Never want to deal with these guys again.

Do not buy anything from Newegg that has this warranty attached to it.

Bought a new computer from new egg had it about 45 days. Had a serious issue with it. I returned it to new eggs warranty company “likewize” I sent them several emails in the beginning. No one ever responded to me after approximately two weeks. I get an email with some sort of digital debit card. They did not even include the sales tax that I paid on the computer. The card is useless trying to use it online. No one will accept it. Tried to use the grocery store,They won’t accept it. Try to add it to my Apple wallet and PayPal. wallet, say the card is invalid. Now they won’t even answer my emails. I was expecting my refund on the purchase to be applied to my credit card. They refuse to do that. I’ve already bought another computer. I don’t need the card anyway I need the money back in my account. Tomorrow I will reach out to the Texas banking regulation agency and hope they can help me otherwise I’m just screwed out of 1200 plus dollars!

Taken Advantage Of!

My son who is mentally challenged is a firefighter. He was fighting fires in Northern Saskatchewan when they all got evacuated including the crew. His phone ended up getting burned in the fire as he could not go back into the fire for it. Put in a claim and received a new phone for $300.00. Then they asked for the damaged phone to be returned. How can he go back into the fire and grab the damaged phone? Likewise charged my credit card another $300.00+ without authorization. Paying into this for years.

Disgraceful. Please avoid.

The mobile phone coverage offered is an absolute disgrace. Having lost a phone while on holiday in very stressful circumstances I supplied Likewise with the informaation they requested within a few days. I was then told I would need to speak to the Claims Validation Team to progress my claim. Fine, but it took around 10 days to actually speak to someone in part due to them (i) calling me on the lost phone (despite me providing an alternative number)! and (ii) the call back from the call back service "when you get to the front of the queue" taking between 1 and 4 days (long queue I guess!).

I was finally told the claim was rejected as I HAD NOT USED THE FIND MY PHONE FEATURE. My annoyance arises from the fact that it was not made clear to me that this was necesary. Sending updated general terms and conditions in "small print" is insufficient and, in my view, leads to the rejection of genuine claims where customers have paid preimums, in my case, over a period of many years.

This company is a disgrace and I am currently contemplating contactiing the insurance ombudsman and making a claim in the small claims court. The question is, is it worth it for the value involved but, on the other hand, this is what Likewise rely on to profiteer at the expense of their customers.

Scam disguised as “phone protection” LIkewise

This “protection” plan from Likewise, arranged through Freedom Mobile, is an absolute rip-off. I’ve been handing them my money every month for 14 months thinking I was covered. My phone breaks, and guess what? They want $145 to repair it — on a phone that costs $180 brand new.

So let’s get this straight: I pay them for over a year, and when I actually need the plan, they squeeze me for almost the full price of the phone? That’s not protection — that’s predatory.

Freedom Mobile and Likewise should be ashamed of pushing this garbage plan on customers. It’s nothing but a money pit, and the “service” is insulting. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy paying for nothing.

This insurance won't save you money

My sons phone had water ingress issue. No problem it's covered. Went online to submit a claim and the only option was a replacement phone. Obviously they knew the pixel wasn't repairable which I knew this. They wanted to do a direct swap for my phone when I payed the excess. My excess would be £99 which is pretty much the same price as if I purchased a refurbished phone online. Why did they put my excess up as previously I have payed £39?. So all in all absolutely no point having this insurance.

Phone repair

What started off to be a nightmare experience when my son broke his I phone screen, I called likewise and they booked an appointment for a specialist to come out and fix the screen which could not be done as my sons phone was running on a beta software.
I contacted likewise to be told it would be another 10 days for another appointment as my son’s phones screen could barely be seen due to damage spreading.
I was unhappy having to wait so I called again and spoke to a brilliant guy called Olly who put my mind completely at rest and helped resolve the situation immediately he was so helpful and is a credit to your company.

The worst company

The worst company ! Paid for a iPhone pro max 14 screen replacement. Took my phone in his van for 1 hour , came back to me without being fixed , in contrary told me he can’t fixed as I need to contact my insurance.. bunch of unprofessional , why planning an appointment and taking my money if something was missing?? This company didn’t. Call me or apologise!! I advice anyone to not contact this unprofessional company. They still didn’t refund and it was in April and now we are the 9th of July. Second : I called on 2 of July because my phone closes even if it’s full of battery. Got 30min of the phone, they told me they needed to link me with apple even if the insurance is with them, they told me I would have the call back from apple in 1-2 days (no call and no email still). On the phone today, still no solution except paying 250$ different for a new phone, when it’s a battery problem, and I still haven’t get the refund back for the glass that they were not able to repair. I argued again; so they told me they will do a demand that I will receive by email in 1-2 days, to see if they accept to send me a new free phone. If I’m not eligible, I need to call them back again.

Worst worst insurance ever seen

They asked for almost full price of…

They asked for almost full price of device
My apple air pod Seri 3 has been stolen and they asked my £149 to send me the replacement as you can buy it from every where by £179!
If it is not stealing money from customers so what it is!
I am paying monthly insurance for 2 years for such a situation that I am in now!
What is the point to have insurance if I have to pay almost full payment for the device?
I am really can not deal with it, If someone can! please have a explanation for me!

Sadly a very unpleasant experience

Sadly a very unpleasant experience, not professional and not particularly interested in client and the needs.
Really unfortunate that Samsung uses them as a repair company, at the price we pay for products, one would expect a better experience

BarclaysTechInsurance hire Likewise to…

BarclaysTechInsurance hire Likewise to repair faulty gadgets. i had a hairline crack in my daughters ipad. logged a claim. paid the excess. Didnt have the option to repair at home, which they advertise therefore i had yo package it up and send it off with a DPD courier. It arrived with likewise. they had it for a week and returned. The screen looked good. i installed a tempered glass screen protector, put it back in its case for my 8 year old to use again. she came to use it, the screen is not responding as well as it should. continually having to press and repress for the ipad to respond to touch. removed the case, still the same. removed the protector. a bit better. Called likewise. it was bank holiday so they did not respond. ent them an email to inform them i was not happy at all with the service. £450 ipad has been returned in a worse state than what it originally went in for. i advised i was not happy with having to dispatch the ipad again and i would have the screen repaired at a local shop. thinking it was the placement of the screen (on inspection the home button was not central with the screen and the hme button also didnt function as it should) i asked the local tech store to replace the screen. guess what. It still does not work properly. Dont know what Likewise have done but they have completely ruined the ipad and i now have to buy new. Because i have had the local tech to try and sort out Barclays have advised it has voided my warranty. and they are not even prepared to pay back the excess of £30 back. Disappointed does not even come close to how i feel. all the money spent on insurance over the years could have bought a replacement tablet.

I have likewise insurance through my barclays account. This is the 3rd time I'm using the service and honestly no fault. My phone gets fixed outside my house in an hour and it's good as new. Mark mulrennan is a very good technician and has fixed my phone twice himself through this service. Thankyou.

Worst company to deal with ever

Worst company to deal with ever. Having a Tech Pack Insurance through Barclays I needed to deal with this company when. my phone got stolen. I reported it stolen with the police, blocked my bank card and my sim card. I couldn't blacklist the phone as Vodafone had instead of upgrading me years ago, made. a separate account, but when finally this was sorted out, the phone was blacklisted. Through family sharing I could see the stolen phone being moved around 10 miles away from home. I updated the police report and also Likewise. Likewise confirmed they accepted. my claim, but I needed to put the pone in lost mode. They gave me links which didn't work, and after speaking multiple times with Apple support they helped me and I could put the stolen phone in lost mode through family sharing. The next day Likewise contacts me, and said they rejected the claim and in little words called me a liar, and that I was in possesion of the stolen phone, and on top put a fraud marker on my account. This would have severe impact if I ever want to have insurance or I assume opening a bank account. I was very upset and stressed, as I was paying for insurance, my phone was stolen, my claim got rejected/ I wouldn't receive a replacement phone, and i had a fraud marker on my name. I've told them multiple times they were wrong, but they didn't care. I called Apple support and they offered to speak to Likewise if I would have likewise back on the phone again. Likewise refused to talk to Apple support and again told me the same story as before. I was crying and distressed by all of this. We were than almost 10 days back and forward. I told likewise I would make a complaint with the ombudsman, and I wanted a written apology and them to remove the fraud marker from my name. They said, make the complaint to the Ombudsman, which I did. The Ombudsman acted very swift and in the end, Likewise send me the 2nd hand refurbished replacement phone, and a written apology. We were than 5 weeks further. Without the Ombudsman looking into this case, Likewise would have ruined my "financial future" with having put a fraud marker without a valid reason on my name.
I never ever want to deal with these people again. I appreciate they made it in the end right, but only because the Ombudsman stepped in.
Apparently the Barclays Tech Pack- Likewise ( dealing with the claims )- is part of Aviva insurance ( somewhere in the small letters in the contract )
