What a scam

What a scam. Turned out I paid 150£ for refurbished third party products after paying monthly insurance fee for years. Just stay away from a company who does not give a f*** about customers.

Shocking repair services!!!

Shocking repair services!!!! Liars!!!!

They say they will repair the battery of my phone which I double checked if the battery will be repaired or tested first. I confirmed this with Samsung and likewize (home repair) and they confirmed the battery would be replaced as thats the job which has been confirmed.

However when the technician came, he said otherwise. He seemed quite unhelpful too, who seemed that he has already decided that the battery wont be replaced.

I wanted camera etc to be looked into but the shock of different statements blanked my mind and then when I said about camera, the engineer said you should have told samsung about it. However Samsung says we need to tell the engineer. All lies and passing us to each other.

Absolutely Terrible Experience with Likewise Insurance - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My experience with Likewise Insurance has been nothing short of a nightmare. After my iPhone was stolen, they provided me with a replacement phone—which, shockingly, was blacklisted as stolen a year later. Yes, you read that right—the insurance company that I pay provided me with a stolen phone.

I’ve been trying to resolve this issue for two months now. Likewise has bounced me from one company to another, refusing to take responsibility for their mistake. They first told me to contact my network provider, who (obviously) had no control over the blacklisting because it wasn’t them who did it. Next, I was passed off to Barclays, who told me this is purely Likewise's problem.

As a last resort, after threatening legal action, they finally promised to contact Recípero, claiming that they were responsible for blacklisting the phone. Spoiler alert: Recipero later told me that they do not even have the authority to blacklist phones—only network providers can do that!

Now, here I am, stuck with a completely useless, blacklisted phone, and with no resolution in sight. The company’s customer service is beyond incompetent. I have been lied to, sent in circles, and treated with complete disregard.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY with this company. They’ve provided me with a stolen phone and refuse to fix their own mistake. I’ll be taking legal action soon, but trust me when I say: avoid Likewise Insurance at all costs.

Very Good Service

I have Likewize through my Barclays account. Had an initial issue because my Curry’s receipt from a couple of years ago didn’t have the IMEI or serial number on (lots of retailers don’t or at least didn’t used to.) However, once this was sorted in a very quick timescale, a free DPD collection was arranged for the next day, the device was repaired and back with me in a week all for the cost of the small excess. Very pleased.

THEY STOLE MY PHONE

Total scam. I had a cracked screen, and started a claim May 5th. May 31st they got my phone and my $39. They phoned and asked for another $99.90 for extra damage they found on the camera. Then they did nothing until the 60 days were up and then they canceled my claim and said they'd mail back my phone (unfixed). 14 phone calls later. They started a new claim and wanted another $120. They refunded my $99.90 but not the $39. They said first it was mailed then admitted nothing was mailed, then they said they emailed me a cheque. I said you can't email a check. The operator said you can open the email and use your cheque at any store. I said that isn't possible. Then he said they mailed it. We argued then he admitted nothing was mailed to me. Then they said they'd send a gift card then said it was successful refunded on my Mastercard (I don't have master card). They said my Mastercard and visa have the exact same number and expiration date. I said you guys Mastercard wouldn't accept the payment to someone else's Mastercard with my name and address on it and no way would my Mastercard and visa has the exact same numbers and expiration date. I said you put in the wrong credit card name. They kept lying and saying they refunded my $39 but they didn't. They tried ti refund a Mastercard with my visa information. 2 weeks of constant phone calls they never sorted it out and I had to open a dispute with visa to get reimbursed.

I also opened a dispute with the BBB. All likewize did was lie saying they already refunded me in full and mailed back my phone (they didn't). Then they said they'd send me a new replacement phone because my old phone was not fixable (They didn't send me anything and my old phone only had a cracked screen..so definitely fixable).

Basically, they just said whatever to get me to close my dispute. I never did. I still don't have a phone (Aug 11th 2024)

Then they couldn't do the 2nd claim until I filled out a form a s submitted photo ID. I did all that and they rejected my photo 3x saying it's not clear enough. Then the form was missing the EIN number, so I called them to get it to give back to them. Then they didn't know if they still had my phone or if they mailed it back ( no tracking number). So they send a bunch of orders looking for it.

I had put in a complaint with the BBB and they responded that I'm fully refunded and they mailed me back my devise. They have no tracking number and just today they admitted the phone was in their hands since May 31st and they never mailed it back to me.

They were supposed to email back the status if they still had it and they didn't. I phoned back and they said they had it and they needed $129 to continue the second claim but didn't fully refund me the 1st claim
I said I was told i was not supposed to pay until they found my lost phone and I was fully refunded for th3 1st claim It is now July 27th and I've been without a phone for 2.5 months. I have lost all faith in this company.

I told them to cancel my subscription and they said it was impossible until my phone was found, fixed and returned and you can only cancel by writing in with a letter

The customer service representative are useless and after so many calls and frustration, I could hear them hiding their laughter at me. This is a company that DOES NOT care about you or their legally bound service to you.

Each time you call in you get a different answer and nothing gets resolved. I do not believe they wish to fix my phone or do anything in an orderly manner.

They are making me jump through hoops and holding everything up and after 14 phone calls and 2.5 months of waiting, we I still no where near getting my device fixed and mailed back. They are responsible for taking so long to fix my device the 1st claim expired and they are happily charging me monthly to insure a device they hold in thier hands.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with on my life and just to get a cracked screen fixed has been an insane experience of frustration and anger.

They are incompetent.

UPDATE:

I got Sasktel to cancel my insurance.
I've been demanding they return my broken phone back to me for TWO WEEKS. Still no phone. No tracking number.

I'm 100% certain I'll never see that phone again. They stole my phone, along with 3.5 years of paid insurance. They illegally broke their own contract agreement then kept my phone.

CROOKED SCAMMING COMPANY!!!!

Update: Sasktel got involved and my phone was immediately found and fast tracked back to me within 3 days.

God knows why but first direct gets…

God knows why but first direct gets Aviva to underwrite their mobile phone insurance with Aviva.
Likewise then act for Aviva. Likewise are hopeless who send out faulty refurb phones! Long calls / long sitting on hold and you never get to talk to the same person. No chance at all of someone making an actual decision that might help...
The worst company I have ever dealt with.
Noone wants to sort it out other than sending another refurb phone that will probably be faulty. That's 2 out of 2 that are faulty on arrival!
Noone can make a decision at likewise as they have a system/ process.
Utterly utterly useless clowns

Absolutely disgusting service from Likewize!…

Absolutely disgusting service from likewize through Barclays premiere banking!
3 weeks of chasing my phone provider for aproof of purchase as likewize said they could not take the original delivery note as proof, although it has all information on needed, imei, date price etc...
Then for likewize to say they would replace my mobile in 5 days like for like, they took £149 from my account and after sent me an email stating they cannot replace my mobile as it was purchased Oct 2020, previously told I would get the nearest mobile to it, then told they would give me £255 which really was £105 as they had already stolen my money!!!
When ringing to ask if this was a mistake I was told no I could purchase a like for like mobile from Cex, I asked why would they not purchase this on my behalf, I got the response because we would not deal with them!!
Rude incompetent service and company, very surprised Barclays deal with such a company, tells it all in the reviews!!
Huge complaint sent to Barclays!!

Absolutely terrible service

They sent a van round to fix it but it couldn’t be fixed.
Took the phone. I had a delivery but I was out (didn’t re deliver). I can’t get through to anyone, it’s been going on for weeks. I don’t know if they have repaired the phone. I bought the policy through Barclays Bank £14.50 a month for years. The call centre man was rude and unhelpful . Don’t waste your money!

Shoddy service from a company that purportedly offers ‘free return postage’ for trade ins.

I use the Apple tradein process from the Apple Store iOS app.

I started the trade-in and received an email from LikeWise.com saying I’d receive a shipping-paid package to return the MacBook Pro.

When this arrived i tried to organise a collection from my address in Scotland. I was told by likeWise.com that they could not arrange a collection and that I would have to take the parcel to a courier drop-off point.

This us a 250 mile round trip - 6 hours driving for us.

I contacted LikeWise.com and they said I’d have to use another carrier and that would have to pay the carriage myself: £19.80 using Royal Mail

When I escalated this they refused to pay for an alternative courier.

Shoddy service from a company that purportedly offers ‘free return postage’ for trade ins.

Do not waste your money on insurance…

Do not waste your money on insurance with this company. My phone does not have a network connection, therefore I can not get phone calls. I called the toll free line to get more info, I figured if I am sending my phone away, I should atleast get a loner phone. Turns out I don't. I asked to speak with a manager, a time and date was set up so that they could call me on my wife's number, as my phone doesn't work. They didn't call. They then called 2 days after the agreed upon time and left voice mails. I called the number they left to contact them, and was told I was not able to speak to a manager or supervisor. I would have to wait 3 to 5 more days for them to call me. I explained that wasn't good enough, as I did this and the supervisor or manager did not call me at the agreed upon time, date and number. I was told that was the only option and that if I wasn't interested in that to have a nice day.

Waste of money...

Don't waste your money paying for this insurance.

I reported a broken screen on the 6th April for a Samsung galaxy Tab S8.

I was given 5 different appointments over a 4 week period. Each time the night before I would get a text message to say its been cancelled.

Everytime I called up after the cancelled appointment I would be told they are waiting on replacement screens to come in. I asked where they were getting them from but didn't get an answer. The device isn't very old so doesn't make sense.

The final appointment I got a voicemail to say it couldn't be fixed and they were offering me X amount of money. This would be so I could source one myself. The cash payout isn't close to finding like for like and they would also be collecting my broken device tomorrow. 30 mins later i got a text from DPD to say my collection was booked in for the following day.I was given no option of if I wanted to go ahead with this or explanation as to where they got the payout amount.

I eventually got through to them after spending forever pressing the multiple options on the phone. I was told the amount was based on what grade they classed my device. No answer as to where I could find the same device for the amount being offered. What I was told was if it was an Apple IPad I'd of had more chance of getting it fixed.
So if you are an android user there is no hope of getting it fixed.

I've now put in a complaint as it appears to me they wait for people's broken devices so they can use the parts or save so they can use as replacements. I'm paying for a service to get my device fixed not hand over mine to then have to find a second hand one myself.

A complaint has gone in and I've to wait for them to get back to me now. Looking at the reviews on here, I could be waiting a while.

Shambles of a company I could of saved the money I've been paying them and paid privately to get the screen fixed.

Using the likewise app is a terrible experience

App is extremely glitchy and the only customer service option is email which doesn’t get answered mostly and when they do answer it they make you go through this insane verification process just to answer questions about their app, which could easily be avoided if there were ANY in-app assistance at all. And, their new reliance on AI really sucks
