Still haven't shipped my "in-hand"…

Still haven't shipped my "in-hand" order after a month. Emailed them a few times to ask to cancel and refund because the items would no longer be received on time, but they refused.

I said i would have to do a chargeback since they obviously didn't have these on hand and were refusing to refund despite not shipping in a reasonable timeframe (the order confirmation page even says "still in production")... So then they threatened to refuse future service to me if I did so.

Good riddance! I wouldn't ever buy from them again.

Basically a scam?

I ordered Sonic X Shadow Generations nearly a year ago and only today did I get the physical copy (which has been out for SO LONG). The estimated date was July 1-31. There is still no update on production of the collectibles. That was $250 for a year of constant “was it a scam? Am I getting that what I ordered?” I’m still asking myself that question now. One thing’s for sure, I’m never buying from them again and hope Sega never partners with this underperforming company again.

Keeps delaying product

I ordered an item in September of 2024. I got an estimated time of delivery in April of 2025. Then they delayed it till June of 2025. Then once again till September of 2025. I don't see why I should have to wait a whole year for 1 standee, 1 keychain, 2 pieces of paper and a soundtrack.
Actually, double that since I ordered 2 items that were both delayed for a whole year.

I would much rather want a refund right now. Never buying from them again.

"What went wrong this time?" Asks…

"What went wrong this time?" Asks trustpilot. Indeed, 'this time'. This company can't get it's ducks in a row. I have some issue every other order. My first order was over a grand and I inquired about combined shipping on my orders since the cart lifted some things out that I later purchased in another order. The response from the rep to my email was "Under no circumstances whatsoever will we combine shipping". That's how you want to respond to somebody who just spent that much money on your site? I understand explaining that you aren't able to and being polite about the issue, but acting like petulant jerk when somebody makes an inquiry is outrageous. I called the rep rude and that I hoped they lost their job, because they clearly don't know what they are doing, then their manager contacted me to tell me they would "not tolerate abuse for their staff", but I guess that means they do tolerate abuse toward their customers. Guess what, LRG, I don't tolerate abuse from a company I just spent over a thousand dollars with. Time passes, there are no other options for certain physical releases and I've cooled down. Okay, I am reasonable and its a one off right? I make further orders. I update my address after moving because this company delays and delays so that your product is now 2 years behind scheduled delivery. I move and update my address the way they, themselves, informed me to do so by setting a new address as default. Fine, my next order arrives to the right place at the new address, except after it gets lost in the mail and LRG won't help me out when I contact them. Even thought it's their responsibility to get me my order, tracking shows the issue, they tell me that they can't do anything and I have to talk to the post office myself. I do so, being sent around to other post facilities calling around spending a week looking for my missing package to just get further confirmation that nobody knows where it is. This is not my responsibility LRG, it's yours. You owe me what I paid for. I eventually complain again getting a new agent and finally they send out a replacement, having wasted hours and hours of my time over a couple weeks. Guess what happens with my next order. Despite having my default address set to my new place, my next order goes to the original address. I ask for help. Nothing they can do because the process for updating shipping is now somehow different and you don't get informed well, too bad. I explain all of this and how I was informed to update the address and had and they say it should be updated on the order so they won't take responsibility. You can't sell something delay it for 500 years then make the address change process confusing and inconsistent and changing only to blame me for the way your business practices. LRG holds no responsibility for their incompetency and poor customer service. I've had packages lost in the mail. I'm just told to go bother the post office and not them, despite they, the company that paid the shipping, being the customer in this case. I have to call the post and go to a different one, eventually find the package is lost and supply this info to LRG. Why is this my responsibility? It's the sellers responsibility to deliver the product, not the buyer. If I inform you of a change of address and update in accordance with your direction, you hold a responsibility legally as a seller to deliver me the product I paid for. Anyway, stay away from this company. If you are a license holder. DO NOT License them your product. It reflects badly on you. I am not buying from them any longer and if I see a brand or license done with them, I will hold it against you. Their reputation is here and plain for all to see. Do the right thing.

Worst business to shop at

Worst business to shop at. They never shipped my item so I opened a chargeback with my credit card after not finding anywhere to contact their support team on their website. They threatened me with arbitration unless I close the chargeback. Any business that threatens a customer is not a great business to support.

Poor Quality Products, Equally Poor Service

Absolutely terrible.

Firstly, their production time estimates are seriously understated. Between July 2022 and March 2023, I ordered 4 games, totaling approximately £500. Production times were listed at approx 10 months on each item.

It took 19 months for the first item to even be shipped.

The next game shipped 17 months after the day it was ordered.

The third game took 19 months to ship.

The final game was delivered on 13th March 2024 - a year after ordering, so getting a little bit closer...

After a year, I began chasing the first three games, and each time I emailed, there were 1 of 2 outcomes;

1. I was fobbed off with no real explanation or revised ETA.

2. My email was ignored.

I continued chasing over the following months, and the cycle of being ignored or fobbed off also continued.

Eventually all 4 games arrived. But that sadly wasn't the end of the problems.

2 of the games had substandard printwork on the boxes - these were all "Collector's Editions"- big box games with boxes that were supposed to look like the originals. One of these 2 boxes was FAR worse than the other, in fact the printing was so dark that it is very difficult to make out any detail at all. It absolutely looks like a bad print run. A very far cry from the rendered artwork we were shown on the site when placing the pre-orders. Clearly their quality control is below par.

When I wrote in to complain, and provided photos as evidence, I was told that that was just they way it is.
Apparently it's supposed to be like that(??!) and so it's tough luck.

I will never trust or buy from Limited Run Games again, and I sincerely hope people read these reviews before parting with their money.

Do better

Honestly the only this company has going for them is they print physical games. The fear of missing out is ridiculous and thats how they keep their customers. Wait times sucks, shipping is over priced. Customer service is honestly mediocre its not the worst but its not good either.

What a silly business

How are they in business? No idea. I ordered two copies of a game and they sent me one. When I talked with them about it, they made it sound as if my claim was awfully suspicious.
I did a chargeback with my card company, and they told me that's not what chargebacks are for, and that if I did it again they would block me from future purchases.
They did send me a second copy of the game, but they are rude and emotional.

Products of great quality. Long delivery times...

In the end all of the products (game + several merch items) I received (today) were of great quality. However, it took quite a bit of time before they arrived. Roughly 15 months due too several delays. It was all well worth the wait though.

I can only recommend LRG based on this one experience. If I come across a classic game that I need to have physically I won't hesitate to purchase again.

Great

Great company. Recent experience not good as my copy of Animal Well for Switch got lost in transit when in the UK (Evri courier). Obviously this is not Limited Run's fault and both Matt and Jason from customer service responded very quickly in helping address the issue. Don't let the negative reviews put you off. They may be slow at times, but their products and customer service is great.

I ordered the Lollipop Chainsaw Repop…

I ordered the Lollipop Chainsaw Repop the day that preorders open, and here almost a month after the game comes out, guess who can’t play it. It hasn’t shipped, they do not communicate, how is it a preorder if they’re gonna ship the game to you months after it comes out. It’s not like I bought a collectors edition or a box set, it is literally just the game. Do NOT waste your time, just buy it at release.

ORDER NEVER FULFILLED

I ordered a copy of oneshot world machine edition off a third part that ordered one from you a year and a half ago. now my order is canceled because you never fulfilled that order. now I cant get mine and ones on ebay are hundreds of dollars, I cant afford that! its the only game collectors edition I wanted. this is beyond frustrating and upseting. If it wasnt possible to have fulfilled your orders in it woulda been nice to know much earlier than a year and a half in.

Don’t buy from LRG

Don’t, don’t, DON’T buy anything from Limited Run Games. Seriously. Most importantly, if you’re a software house, please don’t publish your games with LRG! Your fans probably love your work and deserve better.
Besides the ridiculous long waiting times (it took almost 2 years to get what I ordered) the quality of what they distribute is extremely low. They save money on everything, they take any possible shortcut they can (sending loose discs outside shrink wrapped collector’s editions, seriously?), they sell a very cheap product with very poor customer service at premium prices. Worse, they have very low consideration for their paying customers with genuinely no interest for them. You will just feel exploited and taken advantage of and sometimes not even get what you where hoping (and paid top money) for.

Never got my games, never heard from customer service

Wow, I really wish I had seen their Trustpilot score before ordering from them. Bought two games, a long time after that I got a message that they were on their way. No problem for me, I'm patient. But the games never arrived. And now their tracking tells me they have been already delivered *and* that they were sent back to the sender (which, you may notice, is contradictory). Wrote to their customer services multiple times, I'm being straight-out ignored - absolutely no one seems to feel responsible to sort out what happened. (I wrote them 3 months, 2 months, and 1 month ago; I never got as much as a single response.) As scammy as they come.

Can't pay and support does not help.

Update,
Paid using PayPal, be fast when paying with it or PayPal will take your money but the website will not detect the payment as completed. PayPal will refund it fast (for me 15 minutes) and then you can do it again. For me that worked so I managed to pay using PayPal. Just be careful of PayPal fees and such.

Ignore the political reviews as they are from right-wing crazies.

I am unable to pay no matter what I try and what I do. Bank is not blocking anything and card is unlocked for internet and international purchases. Also have more then enough money to pay for it (accounting for 2x the worst exchange rate possible). Have not had any problems like this before when paying in USD or other currencies. Support keeps saying to try different cards and I have tried both of mine and my parters cards, none work. Both me and my partner are from Sweden and are using Swedish cards. Used different computers, different phones, on different networks, different browsers, have tried accounting for åäö, nothing works. They suggest trying PayPal but they take out an extreme fee and exchange rate compared to my bank.

Don't get your hopes up when a limited edition will release here as you might not be able to pay without extreme fees and support seems unable to find out why payments keep declining. I have asked them to investigate why I was unable to pay as my bank have not blocked anything and I had more then enough money to pay.

Nightmare for collectors...

I will just forward a response I received today..which speaks for itself.

Hey there Francis,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

While I am sorry to hear about this happening with your order, as previously touched upon we do not consider loose discs to be damages. Shrink-wrap issues would also not qualify as damages; however I do understand this to be a frustrating situation following your past reports of similar issues.

I have forwarded your feedback on this order to our appropriate teams to help improve our services for the future, and we are here if you have any questions or concerns.
All the best,
Prentice

They suck

They suck! Took 2 years to get my Castlevania collectors edition. All other collectors editions took over a year! My orders average over a year wait. Buy from
Play Asia instead ! They often have the same games (in English) and they are cheaper !!!! Plus they ship out right away !!!!

The only review you need Limited Run Games.

Don't waste your time, tried to pre-order a title off their website, the prices are ridiculous, and on top of that, I've read online that they aren't as legit as they seem, just google it and they do some shady things.

They are a company that makes physical copy of games, but they are overpricing their goods, I don't even thing they have license for some items, but I got no proof, they make millions of dollars in a single day, and they can't do any deals, if you search Limited Run Games shady busienss, you get the truth to this company, suggest you stay away for your own safety.

Just youtube The Truth About Limited Run Games, and also know that if you do get it you have to wait 12 months almost, and may not include all dlc and or data on the physical copy of the game.

P.S
They feed off fear of missing out on items, and uses that to make profits on extortion of their prices.
