someone is using my email address and number from this company

I got some emails from this company in the Philippines, billing me for something. I'm in the U.S. I went to their website and sent an email saying that someone gave them a fraudulent email address. They respond by sending me an email that my bill is past due.
Today I got a text from link with a confirmation code. So now someone is using my cell phone number too?
I went to their website, and it asks you to fill out a form to delete your info from their company but to do that, I have to give them my info. I don't trust that.
Also, if you look at their help page, someone asks why they are getting confirmation texts when they don't have an account, the answer is saying that they have an account. Do they not know how to read? It tells you to fill out a form to delete that account, and you have to put in all your info, including your bank info. Suspicious?

If this is a legit company, they need to clean up their act and stop allowing it to be used by criminals. But it looks like a big scam. Also, Link, stop spamming me!

We’re sorry this has been so troubling—that sounds very alarming. Link is a saved‑payment and checkout product merchants can offer to speed future purchases—it stores payment and contact details as part of a merchant’s checkout flow and does not independently harvest card data. From what you describe it sounds like either a merchant used your contact details at checkout or someone supplied them incorrectly—receiving unexpected billing emails and confirmation texts is worrying. Next steps: 1) If you’re concerned about unauthorized charges, contact your bank immediately to dispute any suspicious transactions and follow their guidance.
2) If you want to request deletion of any Link account tied to your email or phone, use the "I can't login" option at https://support.link.com/contact/login?—do not enter sensitive bank details into a page you don’t trust; include screenshots, the suspicious emails, and the confirmation‑text timestamps so Support can examine the account creation and communication flow.

We’re sorry you received those unwanted emails—that sounds very upsetting. Link is a saved‑payment and checkout product that merchants can offer to speed future purchases—it stores payment and contact details so subsequent checkouts require fewer steps—Link itself does not independently harvest card data or send marketing emails on its own. If you want to request deletion of any Link account tied to your email, please use the "I can't login" option at https://support.link.com/contact/login? to request account removal. If the message looks suspicious, mark it as spam and avoid clicking links; you can also contact your bank if you notice any unauthorized charges.

I was making a payment and the provider collected that payment through link.com and did not give me the option of using my Paypal acct. link.com then proceeded to bombard me with emails asking me to download their app and complete my profile. I tried several time to unsubscribe and finally blocked their emails. Now I'm concerned that they kept my credit card information. I have contacted my bank and they suggested I replace that credit card with a new one. I never authorized link.com to keep that information and I can see other reviewers have had the same negative experience.

Sorry to hear this happened—that sounds very distressing. Link is a saved‑payment and checkout product that merchants can offer to speed future purchases—it stores payment and contact details so subsequent checkouts require fewer steps—Link itself does not independently collect or “steal” card data; accounts and saved payment methods are created as part of a merchant’s checkout flow when a customer provides payment information to that merchant. Zero stars really

Zero stars really. I recieved an email from link that said it was updating their terms and had links to either opt out or update my info. I never signed up with them, never heard of them, and am upset that there might be an account without my awareness or consent. Or it’s a phishing email. If legit, it’s not to have my info in their system without my consent and awareness. Seems this is an ongoing issue not resolved, since reviews here go back on this since beginning of the year..
I encourage others to contact their attorney generals office, or if in another country their agency that is appropriate. This is not ok!

HUBRIS DESERVES JUSTICE!

We should start a class-action lawsuit against this company. They emailed a terms of service update for a company I’ve NEVER heard of, period!

I don’t care about their BS about automatically creating accounts for pre-payment. I don’t care and wouldn’t do business with a company that has an OFFENSIVE approach to customer relationships.

In Canada, we have Anti-Spam Legislation, which LEGALLY dictates YOU MUST have express permission and opt-in consent for electronic communication.

Delete my account, I’m not jumping thru YOUR HOOPS (!) to end a relationship I didn’t ask for and NEVER wanted!!!!!
