Leicester, High Street - As part of my ‘Executor duties’ I recently had to distribute the funds to all the beneficiaries and realised that due to the amounts could only be done in the branch. I was... See more

Beware using Applepay. Somehow my Lloyds credit card was used to make a subscription to a yoga school in Holland. I have no interest in yoga, have never heard of the company Yogakool, and certainly wouldn't pay in Euros using my Lloyds Mastercard because it is sterling and attracts a fee for each Euro transaction.Furthermore I did not receive an instant notification of this payment on my mobile as I have done with thousands of other payments. The only way I spotted this was on my monthly statement. Lloyds insist it was me, which it wasn't, so there is a security breach with Applepay which Lloyds don't know about or they know about it and won't admit it. I have been with Lloyds for 40 years, I was one of their first customers to trial internet banking, I save with them and I am a shareholder.... not that any of that matters to Lloyds. I am so outraged I am going to change my bank, withdraw my savings and sell off my shares becuase they are a disgrace.
And come on Trustpilot. How can you summarise Lloyds by saying "Considering 6,064 reviews, reviewers had a great experience with this company" when more than half of the reviews are 1 or 2 stars !!

Time to keep my money under a mattress! Tried to pay a someone for gardening work but payment stopped - call us when he has completed the work and we will let the payment through. There is clearly an age trigger on their fraud algorithm.
In the meantime I go online to carry out other banking activity only to find my account has been blocked. Outrageous. Fraud prevention is one thing, oppressive behaviour is another unacceptable matter!!! I now have no access to my money.

The staff are always helpful even when under pressure, yes sometimes the qué can be ling and frustrating but that's nothing to do with the service you receive. I have nothing but good, friendly service from the Milton Keynes by brunch. Melissa has been so helpful today and gave me good advice. I have been a customer for 30 years and would not ever move banks. Thanks ladies at mk brunch you work hard and stay polite.

Absolutely shocking service. Had fraudulent activity on my account. Ended up on the chat service, just stopped replying to me. The following day more fraudulent activity ( pending transactions) I froze my card and opened a case. Spent hours on and off, only to be left in limbo yet again. 29 hrs has passed in the same open chat and I'm no closer to a resolution.

I’m giving this 5 stars because of LYLE , I’ve had my phone/Apple Pay cloned .. as being an older person I didn’t know what to do ,I couldn’t call Lloyds as everything is via chat , but basically it was small amounts of transactions £5 , £10 that had been used on gaming (BOF Heroes, Turret Wars and ERA Shadows , the people that were supposed to help didn’t believe me , in fact they said because all the transactions were from the same device it couldn’t go any further , I called the police who were really helpful and gave me the 159 number who connected me to LYLE , he checked my account, no previous employee had cancelled my card ( so another fraudulent transaction was taken out) , if you want to speak to someone at any bank call 159 ,-and select your bank ! I’ve been so upset for two days … it doesn’t seem that anyone was bothered at Lloyds’s.. but I said to Lyle he has been my guardian angel ,god bless you and thank you ,by the way it’s 5 stars for Lyle and 1 star for the other (unhelpful) staff

Appalling customer service York branch on Thursday 23/7/26 between approx 12.35-13.05….older female member of staff sitting at desk closest to the door. I can’t call her a greeter, as she definitely didn’t greet us.
We are Halifax customers of 40 years, not so happy about moving to Lloyds. We have been emailed to get the Lloyds app, move accounts over and been informed that all Halifax branches are closing. So we are now Lloyds customers and went in to close a joint account that we no longer use. The member of staff was incredibly unwelcoming, rude, and insolent ( “why didn’t you just go to the Halifax? Did they send you here? We’re a long way off you becoming Lloyds customers “ ) . I’m guessing she missed any customer service /communication skills training that may have been offered. She is not the right choice for the first member of staff that you deal with on entering the branch.
We are already looking into alternative banking.

The Lloyds app is good and straight forward to use, but when you need to pay in cash or a cheque, or talk to a person, or arrange an executor account you're on your own! Whole areas of Britain are without a branch, I have a 40 mile journey to get to a branch. In January they stopped allowing the Post Office to accept their cheques and made it visually impossible to do business with them. Their savings accounts have insultingly low interest-rates. You can't talk to a human being, the chat-bot is one of the dumbest and most useless going. So overall a good online experience, but when you need to talk to a bank please be warned you're on you own !
The reply ‘we appreciate how important all these things are - while not doing any of them’ and how to make a complaint link that doesn’t work says all you need to know!

The change over from Halifax to Lloyds is causing me more problems than I anticipated. I can’t get my online banking app to work. I’ve tried every which way to get it up and running. Including going not my Halifax branch. No joy. My local Lloyds no joy. Apparently I’ve got to wait for code to come through the post. Considering it’s now been over a week. Im not very optimistic of reaching a satisfactory conclusion.

I have not had a positive thing to say about Lloyds before but after doing a switch to them and getting used to their app I do think that they are really trying to be a better bank, some work is needed with push notification, pending transaction, and monies coming in but overall a good service is being offered. Thank you.
