We rented a "Ferrari-Panda". The car is in excellent condition. It was very clean. I liked that I could pay with a debit card and there was no deposit.
I didn't see this information on the website, so I'll write it here. When you're at the airport, first check in at the airport office - it's in a very easy location. And then you can pick up the car from the parking lot.

I chose Locauto based on the excellent reviews I have noticed - so I was under the assumption that a higher price would promise a better service. Very disappointingly, the originally reserved quite beaten-up Fiat Panda at Bari airport was inappropriately dirty. Same with the next try - another available Panda was not ready and had to be cleaned by Locauto staff while we had to wait. I have to say that the staff outside the airport did not leave a motivated impression and Locauto could do better in terms of quality management. Overall, we had hoped for a better experience and I can hardly provide a better rating than average.

Flawless experience with renting and returning

Both picking up and returning the car were very straightforward. I had booked the car in advance and got exactly this vehicle. It was practically new, with only 3,000 km on it. The wait time was short. The inside of the windows wasn’t cleaned perfectly, which was a bit annoying when the sun was shining. But I just cleaned them myself. I had the car for 9 days and was very satisfied. I received it with a full tank and returned it that way. If you want to avoid any unnecessary hassle when returning the car, you’re in good hands here.

1. I rented the car in Bari. I was already in town so I did not come from the airport terminal. I went to the pick up point as per the instructions. When I got there, I was told I needed to go back to the terminal, even though they had a record of my reservation. When I went to the terminal, all they did was make a copy of my license and then send me back to the pick up point. It is ridiculous that the person at the pick up point could not do this and I had to walk about 10 minutes each way to the terminal and back with my bad hip.
2. I was told that they did not have the car I reserved and I was given one that was slightly bigger. I specifically rent a small car because of the small streets in some of the Italian cities. The person acted like I was getting an upgrade and I had no reason to be upset
3. The return of the car went smoothly except that the return point is a couple of blocks from the airport terminal and there is no shuttle or Help available. We had to carry our bags across some very uneven streets to get to the terminal.
