We are a family run business, based in Halton Lancashire, and we've been selling fuels to homes and restaurants since 2004. Our specialised kiln dries our firewood onsite to under 20% moisture, making it perfect for long, hot burns and cleaner chimneys. It's also better for the environment as it produces less emissions. As FSC members, we are committed to keeping the business as Eco-friendly as possible, so the majority of our wood comes from Britain, though we do also support projects and businesses in Europe (and even South Africa!). You can find oak, ash, beech, birch, and alder being kiln dried on any given day up at the yard, so no matter your preference, we'll be able to help you. Our logs come in various sizes depending on your need, from 20kg carry-bags all the way up to 1.6 cubic meter bulk bags. We even sell the log stores to go with them, alongside a range of fireside accessories like baskets, coalhods, firefighters and kindling. Whether our customers want to cook pizza, heat their homes, fire their BBQs, or light their campfires, we've got something for everyone- even gardening products! I did try contacting earlier but couldn’t get through . I was very disappointed with the Slug Gone pellets . When I got half way down the tub it was like they had been rubbing together & I had to sieve them because there was absolutely loads of dust like they had disintegrated & therefore lost a lot of the pellets !!!

Take your money and no customer services
Ordered on next day delivery and was advised by Emma office manager, that it would be delivered between 12.25 / 1.25 on Friday, 15th May, but it did not arrive.
I contacted Emma again, advising that I needed coal, I have arthritis and look after a disabled person, so I cannot always get out, it's a very cold house, and electric heaters were no good.
She replied, relating to my situation, I know your frustrations. I, too, look after a disabled person, and I would receive the coal on Monday, but when I asked her to confirm it would be delivered on Monday, she did not reply, now I know why.
It has not arrived again today Monday, and I have had no reply to my email this morning.
She even said I will put a note on your account, to only use DPD, which you said the same last time this happened, when it was 1 day late??
Shame on your company, you had plenty of time to sort this out for me to have today.
I don't think they send next day but charge us for this?

How convenient of you to say, you did not get Fridays message even though these are on the same thread as all previous emails I have sent you and the one you replied to later today?
If you had of advised me on Friday I could have ordered from another company.

I replied to your email today at 13:27, less than an hour after your original email, to apologise and respond to your concerns. I also didn’t receive any email reply from you on Friday.
I’m really sorry that the delivery didn’t arrive. You are absolutely right that I couldn’t guarantee delivery for today, I could only book it in for today, as unfortunately I can’t predict delays or issues once it’s with the courier.
I have now issued a full refund for you. I genuinely do sympathise with your situation, as I do face something similar myself with a family member, so I completely understand how stressful and upsetting these situations can be.
Again, I’m very sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment caused

Booked delivery day missed
We have been buying from logs direct for 10 years plus, and every year we always seem to have problems with the delivery.
On this occasion we took a days holiday for the delivery Monday 11th May.
On the off chance we rang logs direct to get an eta on delivery, only to be told it wouldn’t arrive on the day we booked.
We weren’t very happy as we all took a days holiday off for this delivery.
Eventually we got a booking for a Saturday.
We are very happy with Logs direct its not their fault it’s just the delivery we get the problems with..

We ordered 8 bags of chicken wooden clippings yesterday and despite only ordering it yesterday they arrived this afternoon by courier. That’s amazing service and the courier was a very pleasant chap too. We would definitely order from Logs Direct again.
