Loveholidays mucked up our return journey!

We amended our booking 1 week prior to our departure. Our trip
Included transfer both ways. The amendment was for our return flight where we changed the time. Loveholidays failed to amend our transfer and we had to fork out for a taxi in spite of travelling with an under 2 year old toddler. If that wasn’t enough their website provided an email address for complaints. After sending our complaint off we get an automated reply that this mailbox is not monitored!!! Are they taking the piss???

Avoid if you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel

Avoid if you're looking for a comfortable stay
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share our experience.
Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Victoria was disappointing from start to finish. The room was in a very poor condition when we arrived. There were holes in the walls, damaged and vandalised furniture, stains and dirt on the walls. It looked tired, neglected, and was nothing like we expected.
I went to reception as soon as we arrived to report the damage because I didn't want to be blamed for it. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the receptionist laughed and said, "Oh, I know, it's OK." I found this completely unprofessional. The hotel was clearly aware of the condition of the room but had done nothing to improve it.
Housekeeping was also below standard. We weren't given clean towels every day and had to keep asking reception for fresh ones. We also requested an extra pillow, but despite asking more than once, we were left waiting far longer than we should have been for such a simple request.
One of the biggest issues was the lack of air conditioning. During a very hot stay in Paris, this made the room extremely uncomfortable. We were given a tiny fan instead, but it was covered in thick dust, which blew around the room every time it was switched on.
The bathroom was another disappointment. The shower doors didn't meet properly, so water poured onto the bathroom floor every time we used it, leaving a large puddle to clean up after every shower.
The noise was also unbearable. There was constant noise from outside the hotel as well as from other guests, making it almost impossible to get a decent night's sleep.
The only positive I can mention is the hotel's location, which is convenient for exploring Paris. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make up for the condition of the hotel and the poor customer service.
I genuinely cannot believe Love Holidays recommends this hotel on its website. Based on our experience, it fell far below the standard we expected. We saved hard for this trip and were incredibly disappointed. I would not stay here again and certainly would not recommend it to anyone else.

FLIES ALL OVER THE FOOD

I would like to share my experience with LoveHoliday and their hotel arrangements. I believe they should be ashamed to market this hotel as a 5-star establishment. It is not even close to a 5-star hotel; at best, it is a 3-star venue. Moreover, they provide misleading information, such as the opening times of the snack bar, which is advertised to be open from 11 AM to 11 PM. However, food is only served from 12 PM to 4 PM.

The pictures displayed on the LoveHoliday website do not accurately represent the reality of the hotel. This is especially true for the beach and the small private beach area with sunbeds.

Regarding the hotel itself, as mentioned, it is not a 5-star hotel, and believing it is merely because they have bellboys is misguided. There is no Wi-Fi available in the rooms, even in the areas where they claim there is service—it's very poor. The shower lacks good water pressure, and if you try to take a bath before lunch or dinner, you will only receive lukewarm water. The bathroom is tiled but lacks a rubber mat, making it very slippery and easy to fall.

The main reason I am leaving a 1-star review is due to the food. Although it can be tasty when you find a dish without flies in it, every plate has large green flies landing on the food, which is unhygienic and disgusting. Additionally, there are many cats roaming around the restaurant tables, shedding fur where people eat.

Concerning drinking water, they lock the fridge that contains bottled water in some areas. Is someone really going to steal water? It is ridiculous. Guests are advised not to drink from the tap, yet they lock the fridge that has the bottled water. I find this practice unacceptable.

On a positive note, the staff are incredibly friendly and will do everything to help you. I am truly impressed with the staff—10 stars for them! Would I return? No way. Eight of us paid over 10,000 euros for this two-week holiday, and it is not worth it. There are many other issues that are frustrating, but I think I've covered enough for now. This is only day 3, and we still have 11 days to go. ☹

18 of our family booked the same hotel…

18 of our family booked the same hotel only to be told on arrival that we were going to be split up and some moved to the next hotel..this process took nearly 2 hours ...whilst they welcomed other guests and booked them in ...it was take ot or leave it.....love holidays have completely washed their hands of the whole thing... no rep at the hotel to help us . Won't be using these again. .be warned if a problem arises they wont help...they'll take your money and run...my advice is to use a reputable travel agent with a shop and real staff..🤬🤬we've since booked a holiday with tui and they've gone out of their way to help us .....enough said ...

Very easy website to use

Very easy website to use. Also I love that you have a choice of flights for your holiday, and you can pick what’s best for you. It’s the 2nd holiday I have booked with love holidays this year, as I’ve found them a very good company to deal with.

Easy holiday booking system.

The Loveholidays website is so easy to navigate. My partner and I love the simplicity of formulating a package holiday in one place so that if anything goes wrong (it hasn't yet) we have easy access to assistance. We also love the choice of destinations and the incredibly low prices compared to similar websites. We have used Loveholidays for around 6 years now, for our twice yearly, week long holidays and highly recommend them to everyone.
