As a collectors of traditional pens & quirky, this Lazlo in brass was intriguing. Once arrived next day I was even more delighted. Absolutely exceptional quality, detail & form. Packaging is brilliant & environmentally spot on. Can not fault the whole experience & hard as it is to buy speculatively sometimes the result is so pleasing you love it even more. I also think it presents great value compared to some of the overpriced trendy pens. Would not hesitate to recommend & the twist magnet mechanism to engage & retract the cartridge is genius & a real feature.

I love the Ferrule, and in particular, the heft they give to a pencil. I have used my original for years. Now I am planning for Ferrules to be graduation gifts to hyper-technologists and others. I wish there was a size that would hold an apple pencil so they could be used in both realms: real world and real technology.

Super fast delivery always a pleasure

The products are amazing but the payment platform (Shop) really fails. Limits on the amount accepted with a currency that is not the one used on Credit cards in the country, even though it is the National Currency (yes I know it sounds strange, but in Cambodia the USD is the de-facto currency. And then the non respect from the guys doing the shipping of the chosen shipping method. I requested Royal Mail knowing that DHL (the other choice) was a real ordeal here in Cambodia and what did happen? They sent the package with DHL. Twice ! Because of the card limitation of the shopping platform I had to divide my order in 3 lose my 15% discount on the others and pay 50% of Taxes because of DHL ! When you see the prices of the items, 50% is a lot of money! So Makers Cabinets are great at making awesome craft but their online retail department really sucks. Excuse my French

I already have a Hoevel brass pencil sharpener so knew the Iris would be a beautiful high quality instrument. It is so well made, it is really a work of art. The stand is a brilliant touch it takes up so little space on my desk and turns it into a sculpture.

Just got a call from UPS, indicating that they can’t release the package without receiving a check for more than $100 payable to the company. I’m not home. Would have been nice to hear about this in advance. Perhaps with an explanation? I paid, in full, in advance. Or at least I thought I did. Not thrilled…

The iris I received has three defects: on the front, there is corrosion that I cannot simply wipe away; on the underside, the rubber coating has a crease that lifts the iris off the paper; and when I close the aperture to the maximum (3mm), the laser-etched logo on the back does not appear correctly. In short, the product makes a terrible impression. I cannot give it as a gift because I would be embarrassed, and I will not have a good word to say about you. At least the shipping went smoothly. And of course, I can't upload pictures in this feedback here either—that would be thinking too far ahead...

The pieces and packaging are beautiful!! Well designed and easy to look at!! Shipping was quick and accurate.
One suggestion I have is that the Høvel Sheath be large enough to accommodate the base as well as the plane. Could simply be a bit larger, or possibly adjustable…..
