Door crasher scam

I was shopping today a Marks in store. So today is Dec24-2020. Their door Crasher sale valid dec 24 to 28 had men’s Skechers for 60 percent off.
I went into the store and the lady in the shoe dept said they haven’t had any in a month or better. They also had terra boots at 99 dollars. All they had was one pair size 8. Same answer haven’t had any for over a month.
Lastly I wanted the bench pull over. They had size small 4 of them.
I never though Marks would stoop to that level of advertising, but they did. 3 out of 4 door chasers not available. I did ask if they had any in any other Edmonton store, she looked it up and said no.
Sorry marks but you have nothing in your store I can’t find on Amazon or another store. Thank you for costing me gas money and my time when you knew there was none to be had. All you wanted was to Draw me in just to buy something else. Pretty low

False Advertising Bad Customer Care

“Our goal is to have your order delivered within 4-8 business days (remote locations may take longer).” Last 3 orders prove this an absolute false claim.

Please understand the room for interpretation and MARKS knows it. It literally means they’ll try to have your items shipped OUT of their facility within that time (no guarantees right?) but it could be longer and THEN the actual delivery begins.

Marks shipped an item I ordered 10 days / 8 business days after my order placed. From 3 provinces / 3320 km away in urban zones. It is a disorganized company from top to bottom. Also, what successful online company doesn’t have customer tracking?

Marks cares about money. Not customers. 18 days for a fall timed order in a major city center is absolutely ridiculous. Customer service phone agents are nice but it lands on deaf ears. They. Don’t. Care.

Ladies, visit Eddie Bauer, Sportchek, Cabelas, Trail, MEC, yes go to Winners you’ll get much better deals, better customer care and better products.

I try to shop Canadian and not give too…

I try to shop Canadian and not give too much business to Amazon but I'm done with that.

Marks is terrible when it comes to online shopping. Products that appear in stock online are not in stock. Shipments take 3 weeks and when they cancel an item on you they don't even notify you.

When you call to try and get information about the missing products you sit on hold for literally an hour while you are transferred back and forth from Canadian Tire and Marks customer service.

Never again. Do not buy from Marks.com online!

Their devivery service is terrible

Their devivery service is terrible. I was supposed to have my purchase delivered yesterday, waited at home all day , because I didn't want to miss it since I live in a apartment. It never came . I called Joeyco ( which is new to me) delivery service only to hear that my package is still in their warehouse and they will try to deliver in the next 48 hours also when I try tracking it says incorrect search . Why would they say it's on the way when my package is still in their warehouse.

What a waste of time

What a waste of time! Ordered online trying to use a gift card. Both card number and validation had a check mark, card is good. Card would not apply to the total. Tried repeatedly. Eventually just assumed it would be applied since it said it was a valid card. Placed order and page was blank except for a print receipt button. Printed receipt and it was blank. Went to email from marks and clicked on order status which brought me to another blank marks webpage. Email said I was charged full amount. Called customer service and was told I can't cancel the order because I was past cancellation window. This was half an hour after order. He said I'd have to go to the store during our covid lockdown to cancel the order. What a miserable experience from start to finish with marks. I ordered with a gift card from sportchek and it was flawless. Will not waste my time with marks anymore. Not only a waste of time but also telling me go into the store, which isn't even allowed right now with covid restrictions, to deal with it in person. **** marks

Debit credit nightmare!

Just so people are aware, as they do NOT tell you on the website; make sure you have double the amount of your purchase in your account if you use a debit credit card. They take the whole amount immediately and hold it, they bill AGAIN for EACH item SEPERATLY as they ship the items. EVENTUALLY you should get a refund. IE, ordered Nov 27, refund MAY happen Dec 9, no I have not received any of my items yet, as their shipping is at least a week behind the advertised dates.

If I could have given them negative…

If I could have given them negative stars I would have. For 1, customer service is helpless. 2, if you buy something online and they have it in stock you can't go pick it up in store, actually you can! But they will charge you twice! Isn't that something, after they've already took your money, they will charge you again and then YOU ill have to wait to refund the online purchase you made. Whys it so difficult? I asked that too but was giving no answer. Even the people that work with the company think its stupid.

In store in-store shopping experience I…

In store in-store shopping experience I was at Marks Work Warehouse yesterday and they have a promo “it’s spend $50 or more and receive free socks”, the employee would not allow me to do separate transactions either, even though I was willing to put my items to the side, and re-enter the store to purchase another $50 worth of my wanted items so I could get another free package of socks, I spent well over $300 in that store and I was only allowed two free socks technically I was entitled to five or six even free socks the lady at the register held up her hands and said “no I will give you two free socks and that is it because we still have four days to go and there are other customers” I just agreed with her and I said OK although in my mind I thought to myself “how embarrassing” I am a customer and I just spent well over $300 in your store whether I am there today or the day of the sale ends and there’s no more free socks, that would be my loss, I should be entitled to my 5 to 6 pairs of free socks, But what really matters is how I was treated, she humiliated and embarrassed of the people that were behind me in line I was entitled and she should’ve been happy to give me what I deserved as a highly paying customer, she had no right to make me feel like a greedy customer, especially when I know I have many grandchildren to buy for and my financing only allows me to spend so much, so if I can get something free, I will as I’m sure others would do the same thing at this time of the year. Merry Christmas

in person shopping ok, online order sucks! Online Customer service...horrible at best.

I didnt receive the package,. gave a call to customer service. I was asked to contact purolator, and to call back again if it is not resolved, which I did...only to be talked down by the agent (a very rude old lady) about how long should I wait before they can issue refund. Interestingly, i had not asked for a refund,..was just calling as instructed by previous agent to create a file so they have better chance of tracking it down with purolator. I told her repeatedly that i am not calling for refund, but calling to create a case file....she kept going on and on in a very rude fashion. I had to ask her agent ID to make an official complaint,...she denied several times,..and then directly transferred to another agent! First, you have selected a horrible shipping service (this has happened twice within 2 weeks time), second, you have online customer service agent with poorest attitude. Call date: (2020-10-31, between 9:45AM - 10:30AM CST)

Horrible costumer service

Horrible costumer service! I was waiting for my order 2 weeks and when I called the shipping company they told me it’s on the way , nothing to be worried about. Then I called them again in couple of days, they told me they shipped it back to the company . I called Mark’s and they told yes they received the shipment back and they canceled the order . Now I don’t have the product and my money will only come 5-7 days.I have to order again if I want the product . I’m so disappointed, the company didn’t even apologize....

In-store shopping, selection, and pricing is good. Online ordering, even for store pick-up, not so much.

While I enjoy shopping in Mark’s stores, and trust them for good quality, affordable options, ordering from Marks.com is a waste of time.

My order consisted of items allegedly in-stock at a location just a 15-minute drive away, but with clothing stores still either in lockdown, or forcing people to line-up outside, in the weather, I opted to order online and do curbside pick-up.

I doubt I will understand it taking more than a week to gather the reportedly in-stock items. (Most other stores offering curbside pick-up have my order ready in under an hour or so. None have not fulfilled my order same day.)

Mark's on Leila Ave

Mark's on Leila Ave. in Winnipeg

I've been to this location twice in the last couple of months and the customer service there is terrible.

The last time I was there it took ages before someone offered any assistance (I was trying on shoes). It seemed as though I was inconveniencing staff when I asked to try on some clothes, I had to wait while two staff stood around doing nothing aside from calling someone else to unlock the change room. Needless to say, I left without purchasing anything.

I returned to the same store today only to experience a repeat of my last visit. No one offered any help or asked if I needed to try anything on. I left and made my purchases elsewhere. Will not return again.

The older man who works there during the afternoon is also very loud and unprofessional. You can hear him talking from across the store and he seems more interested in chatting with other staff than helping customers, today wasn't a one off, he was the same the last time I was there.

Packaging

Hi, as a concerned customer i wanted to bring to your notice that, even though your products are amazing and at a very reasonable price, one thing is stopping me to order more that is the packaging. I recently ordered a huge variety of clothes from your store and picked it up in ajax, Ontario. There was this huge unwanted packing that it came with. For every piece of cloth there was a plastic bag with another plastic bag inside and then only one product burried deep inside it. I am not sure why u need to use such heavy packaging for the product which is hardly 9 dollars a piece and that too i am picking from the store. Its very painful to see that where everyone is trying to save our planet, you guys are not at all bothered, about what so much of these bags would do to the environment!! If my message here makes sense to you then please try to replace these bags with paper bags. Would truly appreciate it.

Unsubscribe does NOT work

We made a purchase on line and chose NOT to receive promotional emails from Mark's. Despite our choice, we promptly received junk emails form Mark's. In these emails was a click-on for "unsubscribe" but instead of getting unsubscribe confirmation, we were directed to the Mark's website to view more sales. We think that this is done on purpose and is a dishonest and aggressive sales tactic. Mark's should respect customer's wishes and NOT send emails that are not wanted and should fix their "Unsubscribe" problem.
