Mattress Shed Reviews 

The initial correspondence with Mattress Shed was great. We were advised by email when to expect the bed we had ordered (within 1- 3 days). Unfortunately that day came and went. I tried constantly to get in touch with the carrier (Company called XDP - avoid at all costs). Between leaving telephone messages and sending emails to the email address shown on the tracker screen and receiving no response. I tried to go back to Mattress Shed to find out what was happening but again found it extremely difficult to get through to their Customer Service team. I raised an online "Ticket" with them and was advised to contact the carrier. I continued to do this and eventually got a hold of someone at XDP via email who asked for my postcode and consignment number and she would look into it. Emailed this straight back and had to chase a day later for a response. I received a response asking for the same things - my postcode and consignment number and someone would look into it. My response tot his was one of frustration advising that this had already been given and still I had received nothing. I mentioned within this email that at this rate they would be being told to keep the bed. I received a response advising now that due to location, 1-3 days was never going to happen and in fact their standard would be 3 - 5 working days. Unfortunately on the 5th working day, still no bed had arrived. Went through the same issue again trying to get a hold of the carrier and was eventually advised this carrier would deliver the item to a local courier service for delivery (AJG Deliveries - the only folk that talked sense). The bed eventually arrived on day 9 and thankfully in one piece. AKG were brilliant. I managed to speak to someone who appeared to be in the know. I had spoken to Mattress shed in between all of these calls and advised them that the courier they chose was sadly letting them down extremely badly. they may be an entirely different company however they are still an extension of Mattress Shed representing them. The person I spoke with agreed that had they managed the customer expectations of delivery better all this aggravation probably would not have happened. Unfortunately I had to pay a further £30 supplement due to my location AND had to make all these calls and was put out completely during the course of this transaction. Not a happy customer at all.

This was an easy and good experience, the bed is really good and enjoying the ottoman space. Only issue would be that there is a metal that scratches against the leather damaging it. I would purchase from them again.

Hello .I opened the boxes on Tuesday but there is no manual instructions in it .I tried to put the bed together but I have not finished yet .please send me the leaflet instructions for the bed .thanks

this was a total hassle free item the bed is fantastic..... brilliant price ......... sent out extremely fast ..... and deliver was great had the bed delivered at a different date whn i would be home 5* all round guys keep it up .

I ordered a small double ottoman bed in black, the bed is really good quality, so easy to lift up and down. I also got a small double mattress which was pocket sprung with memory foam, well worth the money! so comfortable. Definitely would recommend this company.

The service was good,easy to put together and the bed looks very nice.

Got this on a groupon deal arrived within 4 days of ordering easy to set up and great quality even has extra supports in middle and end of bed which is great shame our other ottoman bed purchased from elsewhere and cost more didn't have them I would recomend this company great quality great comms and updates

I've purchased goods from Mattress shed on two separate occasions, both this year. The experiences on each occasion were very different in that on the first occasion I had difficulty in gaining confirmation of order and delivery time which took longer than the 10 days they state and even though I provided a mobile to confirm and notify me on delivery date they failed to use this effectively contacting me literally 3 mins before delivery, I was not in, but less than 10 mins away returning within this time and I missed them, requiring me to re-organize delivery with extra time off work. On the subsequent occasion (yes I tried them again!) delivery was extremely prompt within 3 days and unexpected as they did not contact me this time, fortunately somebody was in (not me and not planned) to receive delivery........So in summary the goods delivered were of good quality and I was pleased with them, however I was displeased and disappointed with standard of communication and performance which cost me in terms of annual leave.

Absolutly value for money. Came within 3 days I got it through wowcher excerlant definitely would recommend to anyone.

I bought my bed off wowcher and thought it was going to take ages to get delivered. Two days later it was here. I've not slept this good in ages. The bed is the best and plenty of storage.

I was happy to order my bed from mattress shed on the 4th April 2015. Everything started perfectly, got my order confirmation and everything was meant to be collected as stated by the online tracking system. 13th April came and then only one item was scanned and this is how its been since that date. Ive phoned and emailed the delivery company, I've phoned mattress shed, i must say they are very polite and dealt with my query well cced me on the email sent to delivery company which was on the 24th April but still nothing one or two updates but still havent received my bed.

Im sleeping on the floop as my bed had broken on the 8th April. Was happy to wait the firstly stated 5day deliver and then in another email the 10days delivery. Its now becoming very annoying coming home from a long day at work to not even be able to lay on a bed after so long. Plus my tempur mattress is good but i don't want it to be on the floor anymore as i paid a rather expensive price for it as i have back problems.

I more thing, when phoning mattress shed the phone rings once , i get an answering service and then tells me i they are unable to take call at moment and call back later. I've been ohoning for at least three days since i last spoke to someone. I would a actually gove the company one star but the person i spoke to on the phone was polite and dealt with things proper, but that was a while ago now.

Please can someone help me on what to do as I am finding myself increasing becoming lost in what to do next?

Ordered 2 items at the same time, one being a mattress the other being a bed

The delivery terms specify that you will receive your items in up to 10 working days and couriers may vary depending on how many items you order

Granted, the bed was deliverd on the final day of the delivery window by XPD who do a tracking service

As far the mattress, from ordering my items on 2nd of April it was finally deliverd on May 1st. But this wasn't really what botherd me. It was the lack of knowledge as to where my item actually was, after raising 3/4 tickets as the website states and up 25 phone calls nobody seemed to have any clue as were it was. All I kept being told was it will probably be deliverd the following Friday to whenever I called? Also after stating that the delivery time is now getting ridiculous and I will need a date and time in advance to when I receive my item to allow time of work to collect it. This to was not the case, a quick text at 7:30 in the morning from a delivery company alerting me an item was on its way that day. Lucky I was not already on my way to work

I cannot give any positive feedback due to this experience, a waste of time and should of just bought straight from a store

I was shocked to receive a text message while at work from the driver of my brand new bed stating my delivery was "Successful" and can be found in The Bin Store outside my property!!
Wow!!
After discussing with the driver why this was unacceptable he drove off stating he delivered my bed and what more did I want!
My son (who was at home at the time) removed the packaging before later assisting me with assembly.
Despite the shakey start I do love my bed!

Bed is so flimsy my 12 year old daughter has broken two struts already by just laying on the bed, I have had to apply lots more support and fastenings to make the bed safe and useable. I only with I returned it before putting it together. The mattress is so springy and un comfortable she cant use it. and the delivery took 10 days more than promised and they missed two scheduled delivery dates and time so making me miss to days at work for no reason.....I will never use these again and will advise as many people as I know to do the same.

I had a problem putting my order through online so called for assistance. The man I spoke to was very helpful and placed the order for me.
It arrived in a timely fashion but there were 3 screws missing. The packet was opened and they had dropped out. My husband found one in the road.
We managed to put it together without them so I haven't bothered contacting Mattress Shed about this but a point to check is that the packaging hasn't been opened.
