Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 417 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to reach a human. They also encountered issues with products, including quality concerns, items not working as expected, and receiving incorrect items. Customers frequently reported problems with their social media accounts, such as suspensions, hacks, and being locked out without clear resolution paths. The website and overall service were often criticized for being user-unfriendly and lacking accountability. Though some reviewers were happy with the chat support on the Meta website, describing it as helpful and clear. However, the dominant sentiment indicates a widespread frustration with the company's support processes, product reliability, and platform management, with many expressing a strong reluctance to engage with Meta products or services again.

This company is an absolute joke.

This company is an absolute joke.
I own a small business (Best Ants UK). I tried to connect my Wix website to my Facebook Business Page. Following their own stupid advice online, I removed the page from Meta Business Manager — and now the page has completely disappeared from my account.
I can still see it with the direct link, but I have ZERO admin access. It's MY page. MY business.
When I contacted support they demanded government letterhead, utility bills, signed attestation forms and a mountain of other bullshit documents like I'm some scammer trying to steal my own page.
This is not "support". This is incompetence and arrogance at the highest level.
Meta makes it deliberately difficult for real business owners to manage their own pages. Their support is useless, slow, and treats legitimate owners like criminals.
Avoid Facebook advertising and Meta Business Suite like the plague. Complete waste of time and extremely stressful. They even do not have or offer support by human any more. Meta is just a giant cyber sh*t!!!
Never again.

Untrustworthy

Meta is quickly becoming one of the worst corporations in regards to user rights and privacy, if they weren't the worst already. Meta has an extensive history of mishandling user privacy, profiting off of your data, and lobbying politicians to pass laws that benefit themselves while infringing user privacy. Their most despicable aspect is how they lobby politicians to pass laws under the pretense of 'child safety', but the end goal is to profit themselves. I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone interested should do some research into this, it's genuinely insane the things they are trying to push. Most recently, they supported California's Assembly Bill 1043 that will force users to verify their age on an Operating System level rather than per app/site. In my opinion, requiring age verification on ANY level is an infringement of privacy and can easily turn into a slippery slope, but to require it at an OS level is an insane overreach. Meta loves to claim their changes are for 'child safety' yet they make no changes to their systems that actually benefit or protect children.

I had a problem with my glasses and they told me to send them in to them. I did so and asked, on their website, what was going on, and the chat automatically ended. I will be filing a BBB report and going to my credit card company to see if I can get a refund. Do not buy Meta glasses.

This company is a embarrassment

This company is trash . I order the meta glasses. Someone stole the glasses from shipping. I contacted meta support immediately. They said they will start an investigation and either issue a refund or get me the glasses again. After 2 months of them doing absolutely nothing with documentation and threads showing this exactly. There finally response is to file a claim with USPS and they can issue a refund and get me glasses. This company is pathetic. They made me wait 2 months to do nothing. What a pathetic excuse for a company, embarrassing and non-existing customer support. The worst company alive. I will make sure that my entire blood line never purchases a product from this trash company again while I live.

I purchased my Ray-Ban Meta glasses in…

I purchased my Ray-Ban Meta glasses in February 2025. By March 2026, the speakers completely failed. The Meta app even identifies it as an internal hardware failure, yet getting Ray-Ban/Luxottica to honor their warranty has been a nightmare.
The Issues:
• Hardware Failure: Despite a factory reset and re-pairing, the internal speakers are dead. For $300+ glasses, failing in 13 months is unacceptable.
• Broken Warranty Portal: Customer service tells you to use the online portal, but the portal is broken. It refuses to upload my proof of purchase or photos, making it impossible to submit a claim.
• Useless Support: When I called, they just told me to go back online. When I chatted, they told me to "change browsers." I’ve tried every browser—the issue is on their end, not mine.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They make it intentionally difficult to file a claim so you’ll give up. With other AI glasses hitting the market, do yourself a favor and wait for a company that actually stands behind its products. Ray-Ban has lost a customer for life.

How Many Lives Need To Be Affected Before Meta Cares?

I genuinely cannot understand how a company as huge as Meta can continue operating the way it does while so many people have nothing but bad experiences to share. For a business of this size, with this much money, power, and control over people’s businesses, communication, memories, and livelihoods, it is shocking how little accountability exists when things go wrong.

Everywhere you look there are thousands of people saying the same thing — accounts wrongly suspended, business pages disabled, memories lost, no explanations given, no proper support, and absolutely no urgency when real people’s lives are being affected. How can a company worth billions continue to allow faulty systems and automated decisions to damage people’s income and daily lives without providing proper human support?

My own business page has been wrongly suspended, and this is not some small inconvenience that can simply be ignored. This page is directly connected to my income, my clients, and my ability to earn a living. While people at the top of Meta continue making money regardless, ordinary people like me are left dealing with stress, financial loss, uncertainty, and the fear of losing everything we have worked hard to build.

What makes this even worse is that there is almost no real support unless you pay for Meta Verified. That means if you want any chance of speaking to a real person, protecting your business, or getting actual help, you are pushed toward paying more money to the same company that has already caused the problem. It feels completely wrong that the only way to feel protected on a platform you rely on is to pay for access to basic human support.

How has this become normal? How is this not being spoken about more publicly? Why is it accepted that so many people are losing business, losing money, losing years of memories, and being ignored while automated systems continue making mistakes?

The people running this company will never understand what this feels like for ordinary people who work every day, who depend on their business pages to survive, who do not have endless money sitting behind them to absorb these losses. When your page is removed, your clients disappear, your income drops, your stress rises, and yet there is nobody taking responsibility.

The impact this has had on my mental health has been huge. The frustration, stress, and helplessness that comes from being ignored by a company this powerful is exhausting. It feels like people are completely invisible unless they are paying.

For a company this large, the lack of care, accountability, and proper support is shocking. Too much power, not enough responsibility, and ordinary people are the ones paying the price every single day.

It's a prison, and they will not let you out.

This company should be shut down. I'm not even talking about bribing our government officials, using their platform to heavily influence elections, being a vector child exploitation, or their vast support for techno-fascism via the dissemination of false information and blatant lies.

What brought me here was attempting to shut down my Facebook and Instagram account. They basically blocked me at every turn. First I had to reset my password. Then I couldn't do it for 30 days or something because I just reset my password. Then when I logged in after the timeout, they made me reset my password again!!

This is the cycle that just kept repeating once they knew I was trying to close the account. Attempt after attempt, ending with my accounts still open and completely vulnerable. I wen through this 3 times.

Eventually, they just "forgot" my email and phone number so I can no longer even reset my password. My accounts are still open with my pictures, connections to my friends, my likes and dislikes blah blah blah.

You cannot talk to a person. They simply don't offer that as an option. And the AI "support" bot just keeps alternating between "I understand your frustration and I'm sorry that the previous suggestions haven't worked for you. It sounds like you've tried these steps before without success." and giving you the same steps and "I understand you'd like to talk to a person, but there isn't a human agent for you to chat with. I can only assist you by providing information and guidance from Meta's Help Center."

It's a black hole so deep and insurmountable that it feels like satire. It would be funny if I weren't literally being abused by an evil corporation.

I'm looking forward to mid-terms and beyond. WE WILL HOLD THESE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE.

I’ve been locked out of my Meta account…

I’ve been locked out of my Meta account since 18th January and the experience with Meta support has been incredibly frustrating.

I’ve spent over an hour on the phone with support, where it was confirmed that 2FA codes are not being delivered via WhatsApp or SMS. On top of that, I’m unable to verify my identity because the auto-capture feature doesn’t work and the manual verification option has been disabled.

I was even advised the issue might be my mobile network, so I switched from Sky to EE to rule that out — but it made no difference.

Since then, there have been 81 emails back and forth with support, yet there is still no resolution or clear path to regaining access. It feels like I’m going round in circles repeating the same troubleshooting steps with no real progress.

Meanwhile, my business is directly impacted — all of our Meta advertising has been paused because I can’t access the account to update billing details.

For a company of this size, the lack of effective support and escalation is completely unacceptable.

Meta Viewpoints is a SCAM

They use to payout but I've had the last 2/3 payments get rejected. When reaching out to Viewpoints support, I get nothung but AI generic responses unrelated to my problem. After trying to get a human response, they tell me they're unable to take further action. In other words, they won't even try to resolve my problem.

Meta customer support is absolute…

Meta customer support is absolute garbage. Our ad account was compromised with bad actors accumulating over $10,000 in ad fees. It took over 7 business days to deal with (still on-going) resulting in thousands of dollars in lost revenue for our business. Each time I get the same generic message from support team that they are "escalating" the matter. Even though they acknowledge that they can and will refund the fraud fees and reinstate our account, somehow I am constantly forced to repeat myself, give the same data to new people, and then told to wait while it escalates. What is egregious is our account was compromised in 2024 and it was resolved in two business days. They're internal departments are not transparent and deeply inept.

Refund took 3+ Weeks

Terrible customer service protocol. THEY sent me the wrong package and it did not include the item I ordered. When I reached out to customer service to tell them that I ordered the Meta Quest 3 and they sent me some totally random item instead, the customer service representatives took over 3 weeks to finally refund me. AND every time you email them back, you get someone new, so they have to go back and read all of your prior emails just to get caught up on the situation. They sent me the wrong item and could only refund me and make me go back and re-purchase the same item again. Unsure why they couldnt just send me the item I ordered originally. Terrible service, would not recommend.
