The Meta-Analyses Academy was the best investment I have made in my medical career.

Through the Academy, I was able to develop a structured and consistent approach to scientific writing, which allowed me to study more efficiently, transform ideas into research projects, and produce high-impact academic work. Between 2023 and 2025, this training directly contributed to more than ten abstracts accepted at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meetings, as well as three abstracts accepted at the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) Congress.

In addition, I achieved publications in Neurology, the most prestigious and influential journal in the field of neurology. These academic achievements opened important professional doors, strengthened my international collaborations, and consolidated my career as a clinician-scientist with a strong focus on cognitive and behavioral neurology.

I’m a 5th-year medical student from Brazil and joined the Meta-Analysis Academy during my 2nd year to learn how to properly conduct scientific research. The program was an absolute turning point in my academic career.

As a Canadian, double board certified dentist (Canada and USA), I was granted admission to the Pediatric Dentistry Master and specialist certification program of the University de Montréal. I was part of the very first cohort of Meta-analysis Academy. I had always wanted to publish research but honestly had no idea where to start or how to turn an idea into a real study. Even after graduating from the best medical school in Brazil (FMUSP), my practical research skills were pretty basic.

Meta analysis academy provided the tools that I needed as a Clinical Faculty without funding, research grant, to publish meaningful research publish in high Impact Journals like diabetes care. Since I took the course, I have been a very productive researcher with several papers published in 2025, several under review and several underway.

I’m a surgery resident in the US. I joined the first cohort of the academy and was afterwards invited as one of the experts to help mentor students. The places the academy has led me, I could only dream about once. First of all, I learned the whole methodology by using the classes thought in English. Then, I learned even more by mentoring the other students. I had all the support from the teaching assistants for my questions. I was able to invite some of the biggest names in the world to work with me, and I’m only a resident. I got awards. I published in JAMA. If you’re willing to learn it, put your time into it, it will be very worthwhile. There is no handholding though. You’ve got to learn and find a good group to work with you, and persevere. It’s real high impact research, it’s not easy. It demands work from your side. PS — I tried to add my pubmed name here but the review was flagged and removed, I wish I could show you guys my actual results.

I am a Psychology BSc student, and I joined the Meta-Analysis Academy on my first week of university. The course is usually targeted towards medical students and doing meta-analyses is not an easy skill, so I was very doubtful before starting the course whether it was a right fit with my current situation.

However, the teaching materials and support offered by the community were excellent. After much perseverence, and trial and error, I was able to successfully complete the course.

I am currently in my 3rd year of university, I have published 3 full-length (1 as a first author) and presented in an international conference. More importantly, conducting meta-analyses has severely enhanced my scientific skills, and given me a more evidence-based perspective of my field, which greatly improved my performance in my studies.

So far, I have been a real standout in applications for internships and placements, and the strongest point of my curriculum are the publications I achieved due to the knowledge acquired in this course.

I would definetly recommend this if you are interested in putting in the work to stand out. The course will not give you success and publications on its own. But it gives you an incredibly powerful knowledge base to stand out in your field, you just need to do it.
