Worst Customer Support ever from anyone…

Worst Customer Support ever from anyone - and I speak after over 50 years working in IT.
Spent 30+ mins online with someone going through the problem step by step in detail. Had to repeat it for them. They then escalated, and I got an email asking me o document all steps in a Word Document and Upload to the site.
Spent an hour plus documenting, tried to upload but always came up UPLOAD FAILED..
Reported this by return email - NOT ACKNOWLEDGED.
Wrote another email NOT ACKNOWLEDGED.
Responded to their HOW DID WE DO email - NOT ACKNOWLEDGED.
I'm only a Customer - the only thing they acknowledge is when it comes to taking your subscription money.
Microsoft Support is a JOKE in the IT INDUSTRY - but it isn't funny when you get on the receiving end!

All round disappointment

Just purchased a Go3 tablet directly from Microsoft. I had previously owned a Go tablet - purchased Nov 2018 from John Lewis - but when the battery died I discovered that a replacement battery cost almost as much as a new tablet. I bought the new model complete with keyboard and mouse directly from Microsoft. After less than a week I am returning the items. The battery took forever to charge and ran down almost as quickly. Everything took forever to load and finally the face recognition ceased working and I couldn't access the tablet. I couldn't recall setting a pin but I tried all my possible pin combinations and none worked. An attempt to get assistance on-line from Microsoft was a absolute nightmare. So I gave up and am returning.

Pursuit of money is god, increasing profit is the motivating force, so no customer service

Got an email account with them that's rarely used and wanted to start using it more regularly. Sat at my PC at 11am and tried to sign in but couldn't. I tried several times and it gradually dawned on me they'd deleted it without my consent. So I set up the email account again and tried to change the privacy settings. I was going through the long list of companies turning them off when suddenly the page disappeared and I was returned back to my email homepage. Trust me, I hadn't clicked on anything else other than 'off' in the ridiculously lengthy list and suddenly the webpage was gone. So, from my email homepage I went to my account to complete personalising my privacy settings.

I remember it used to be relatively easy to change privacy settings. Several clicks, job's done and in quick time too. It took nearly 1 and a half hours to try and change my privacy settings. They just made it so hard for me to find the page I was on earlier that allowed me to turn off personalised ads, direct marketing, trackers/analytics. So in the end they won and now have use of my data that I don't want them to have.

They claim they want my info to improve their products. But they're making so much money off the back of collecting my data usage, analysing how I use my devices, when I use them, what I use them for. And then make even more dosh selling on my information to companies who bombard me with ads selling stuff I don't need or stuff they think I'm interested in because they've tracked, recorded and analysed what's come up on my devices. They should be paying me for being forced to give them my info because they ain't being fair. They've made it harder for me to personalise my privacy settings so I'm not able to do it!!!!

About 10 years ago I paid £80 for their software and installed it on my pc. But MS wouldn't recognise the info I entered. I made many fruitless, frustrating attempts to get their product going on my device. I tried contacting customer service. Whether I phoned or emailed them online they never replied. I even asked a friend of mine who's a qualified IT engineer to help me and he said he couldn't. He told me that customers had come to him with the same problem and when he contacted customer service they either didn't reply, or they replied and directed him elsewhere and he ended up going round in circles, or they didn't know what they were talking about and gave wrong advice or he got cut off. And he's a qualified IT specialist and customer service do this to him!!! He said he's so frustrated with them he refuses to deal with them and doesn't use their products on any of his own devices. So, I wasted £80 on software that I couldn't use because MS made it difficult for me, their customer, to set it up on my device.

You know what the problem is? Making money is god. The sole focus and drive is toward continually increasing profits. When this happens help and support for the majority of their customers is non existent. If you're a blue chip business/organisation who can afford to stoke the avarice and greed with cash, you get their service and support. But if you're part of, what they consider to be the unimportant masses, they sell you their product then just take your hard earned daily wage that you've earned in the sweat of your brow and run.

More crap Windows system defects supported by elementary grade script readers

I have Windows 10 on my main PC and as I change hardware bits on an ongoing basis, have my licence as digital on my Microsoft account. This morning spotted on screen messages to activate my installation. No link to Microsoft servers and no help from the incompetent support people (based in some very cheap country). Finally suggested that I find my original Windows 7 licence number from nearly a decade ago. Complain that I can't remember where the disc is AND THE LINE GOES DEAD. I am obviously a criminal and the support staff have no access to my long installation history. By the magic of Windows the digital licence has restored itself! Just wasted several hours trying system restore and speaking to script readers.

Unbelievably bad service

Unbelievably bad service. I will never buy another peice of hardware from microsoft. i ordered a surface go 3 tablet and typecover on 21 April. The website said three to five working days delivery. The tablet arrived on 23 April but no cover. I wanted to have this in good time to get it all working before my holiday on 20 May. On checking I discovered the typecover would not be available until 19 May. Rather inconvenient and not what was promised but i decided as long as it did arrive that day i would run with it. However on 5 May i received an update saying it would not arrive until 8 June. This is not only unacceptable but a breach of contract and a breach of teh Consumer Rights Act 2015. I found one on Amazon available immediately and so ordered it. I had some difficulty getting a phone number in the Uk but eventually found one. I was told in no uncertain terms that it could not be cancelled. I said i did not want a parcel arriving when i was away but to no avail. I was told i could send it back whicis in itself highly inconvenient since you have to send things back by dpd and my nearest depot is some way away. any way i found an e-mail for the UK CEO so i wrote to him. one of his team responded to say he would sort it. today he responded to say he would nto and when it arrived i could sent it back. since delivery is now scheduled for three weeks away this is really ludicrous. this largest computer company in the world , i think, cannot cancel and order it callt deliver in good time.
i have done everythimng required in terms of repudiating the contract and if it does arrive and they want it back they will have to collect it as i do not see why i should put myself out and have a 45 minute walk to get to the depot and return it.
suggest you think twice about buying from them

Quite regularly now i get huge problems…

Quite regularly now i get huge problems with Microsoft Outlook. There are days when you get stupid security warningS so your email doesnt load up. Its utterly insane.
Then there are instances when you are not allowed to even sign in. Microsoft say there has been suspicious activity on your account There hasnt.
But when to try to get back they give you a circular task to verify something-Gods knows what-and round you go in circles getting nowhere.
Im trying to get emails form my solicitor at present. Its about a house deal that is due to complete. But i cant get the emails. Imagine. The biggest decision of your life and you cant see what is happening.
Steve Jobs was right. Microsoft is a gigantic pile of poo.
Microsoft should be banned for making 10th rate rubbish. The laugh is they think their stuff is so precious, like all the security codes you need to use it. What a laugh. Its crap. I would never use it again. Yahoo, Gmail etc all work fine. Microsoft is total junk.

It would be nice if they bothered…

It would be nice if they bothered finishing Windows 11 before releasing it. I got a brand new PC that came with Windows 11.
Day #1: Taskbar and Windows Explorer froze and wouldn't unfreeze until I restarted. After restarting, the Taskbar now had no icons and was stuck on the left hand side and had no functionality. Resets did nothing. Tried every fix and nothing worked. Had to download a third-party taskbar mod to replace the broken taskbar.
Now: After using my PC for more than an hour my ultrawide screen monitor will have applications like internet browsers now rapidly flash black and white sometimes. Lots of general glitching that only happens on the ultra wide screen monitor. Again. No fixes that work. Drivers up to date. Just a useless micropenis of an operating system that makes me want Putin to launch the nuclear missiles and just end it.
Sex with my ex was less disappointing. 😂

Microsoft have had me pay for a 365…

Microsoft have had me pay for a 365 license twice promising to refund the first license since they were not able to activate the first time. I was advised by MS agent to request a refund and purchase a new license. Having followed their instruction they then rejected the refund mean i now have now paid for two sets of licenses for one household. Each time I have contacted MS they admit the fault, escalate the fault and then, the black hole it goes. This is the 10th time over 3 months. Microsoft after sales service is less than poor. Im so sorry I left apple...

The Achilles heel of Microsoft is that…

The Achilles heel of Microsoft is that they over-complicate everything both internally in their own business and for their customers making their services sometimes unusable. For example, the "Microsoft Learn" website just stops responding half the time you try to use it.

I just wish for viable alternative

I've just come to hate them. How long will they push us through hoops? I will never get the time back I've wasted on their inability to sell a simple and secure system. Every upgrade is upgraded multiple times and this Window 11 debacle is the worst yet. Probably just designed to make us buy new hardware to line someone else's pockets. They have no concept of our needs and never act in our interests. I can't leave this stupid machine without it wanting to upgrade something and it is currently demanding one not long after the last Windows 10 one. Didn't those marketing liars tell us that 10 would be the last one? As if
