Used to be amazing... Now not so much

Don't get me wrong. If you want free stuff, it's great. However it's extremely tedious and slow, just the way Microsoft intended it to be. You used to be able to hit your daily cap in under 10 minutes, but now Microsoft has put resources in time into making a system to slow down our earning, instead of fixing the bugs they actually need to focus on. In the end this service is just a way to get you to spend more money and artificially drive up usage numbers on Microsoft services that aren't typically used (COUGH COUGH BING). This site can be extremely annoying, but is trustworthy since it's Microsoft. Don't fall into their trap.

Magically like everyone else using microsoft rewards nothing has been actioned on my account in terms of cashback on my transactions. There is also no transactions on my account even though everything was done through microsoft... After numerous email support tickets and months of being fobbed off with emails saying 'We are still looking in to this', I have taken this further. What is there to look at, I proved all invoices and still nothing. Now I have had no choice but to go down the legal route, funnily enough I had a reply the next day regarding the cashback although I am yet to receive anything.... just continue to be difficult and not reply.

Please if they haven't replied to you within 30 days, issue a legal letter.

They cannot offer false advertising nor can offer services such as a cashback scheme without following through, just to note they are getting a percentage of the cashback so they are making millions while not passing it on to their customers which have made it possible. It is out right fraud.

This used to be a good experience, but now it's trash.

I would give zero stars if I could. When they were helpful in the past, they brought your streak back as a one time courtesy. The next time I needed my streak brought back, they said that they were unable to do so because they already provided me a one-time courtesy, but when I contacted them, I told them that it was their fault because their system was buggy and they said "You can build a new streak." Well, now I CAN'T build a new streak because the first activity never checks off. It's been happening every day, affecting the streak I'm trying to build up. This rewards program needs to be removed or something, as it's terrible nowadays. The support team is confused about their bugs, and tell you that they're working on it, but I 100% doubt that they are working on it.

has become total rip off

after years of using bing rewards they have suddenly decided to cap points at 20, after 3 searches, then limit searches to one every 15 min and most times these don't work, I have used the points in the past to buy Christmas gifts for the grandchildren but thanks to bidenomics have been getting Walmart gift cards to buy groceries. Now point accumulation is useless

Complete waste of time

Seems like some sort of scam. They advertise nice cashback incentives, you go through the process, get the yay! message etc... but that's about it. Contact support and then they ask for all sorts of information that was (should have been) collected at the time of the purchase. So, then you go look all that up, provide the info and nothing. At some point, you realize, why am I doing this and spending hours of time to get $1.50. There are much better legitimate options out there.

Nice one Bill

Nice one Bill. Tesco voucher rewards increased this morning from 7600 to 8125 for a £5 voucher. So it will take you longer to qualify for a voucher. He'll never go broke will he - LOL!

Awful service. Rewards is a scam

Awful.
I spent the best part of 2-3 months playing jewel, playing game pass games, getting achievements, going on Microsoft website to do the quizzes and polls. On Microsoft Bing to do searches and read stories every day to amass 12,000 points and be told because my VPN was connected for my online safety that my points cannot be redeemed. I worked hard for those points everyday for absolutely nothing. I asked twice for them to please give me the ultimate game pass for just 1 month (what I earned legitimately) and was told I have no grounds for complaint and the 12,000 points are basically worthless and I wasted my time. Complete scam. Don't bother. I canceled my subscription, where I would have continued to pay. Absolutely not happy or any way to treat members. Why I left Xbox for Playstation, because at least they honor their agreements.

It's hard to imagine why Microsoft…

It's hard to imagine why Microsoft would put it's name on such a scam. I was offered a very good discount on a product to order direct from the supplier although I could have gotten the product cheaper elsewhere otherwise. I trusted Microsoft to honor their offer which is the only reason I ordered direct but like so many people here they never gave me the cashback. After contacting support many times over many months and continuing to be asked for the same information over and over again nothing happened regarded my refund. They basically ignore you until you go away. I have many other rewards programs and never had an issue like this. Stick with reputable programs like Capitaloneshopping, Honey, BeFrugal, etc. Microsoft's cashback and rewards program appears to be completely worthless. They will entice you to make a purchase and then never give you the cashback promised, at least in my case; and I guess a lot of other people too judging from all the horrible reviews I found on the Internet.

It's Superb!

I have been using Microsoft Rewards for 6 months and I have already received a ₹‎500 gift card from Amazon and am very close to receiving another. It truly helped me and I bought a gaming mouse from Amazon using the gift card. I recommend everyone to use it.

Refuses to pay out on vouchers, customer service does not exist. DO not even bother to use this scheme. Complete waste of your time. Terrible. Sent three requests for help, the X live help tells you to wait for customer service that never get back to you. Scam

Just like the other reviewers on this…

Just like the other reviewers on this site, I'm fed up with Microsoft and their greed. I'm going to hit them where it'll hurt if enough people do the same - I'm removing ALL THINGS Microsoft. Edge, Outlook, Bing, Office, Start, etc. From now on, it'll be strictly Firefox and Google. I cashed out as many rewards points as possible using the custom Amazon redeem. I do still have a PC and laptop that runs Windows but that can't be helped since I hate Apple even more than I hate MSN. Microsoft clearly doesn't care about their customers unless you spend money constantly on their sites. As far as I'm concerned, MSN can go bankrupt.

Freaking decreased the points to 1…

Freaking decreased the points to 1 digit, removed edge search points, and who with a non-existant brain thought of 3 searches per 15 minutes!? Nobody is going to waste their time for over an hour just to get maximum points for the day realizing to do this everyday so it's better to go to other good rewards such as Fetch or Freshcut. I'm praying for the downhill of this program.

What a pointless rewards program now

What a pointless rewards program now, they have removed yet more of the rewards you can or could have earned, if I was Microsoft I would knock it on the head completely as it is just a waste of time, especially my time in doing it, they have knocked the fun out of doing these rewards. shame on you Microsoft Rewards for ruining a good thing.

It had to end some time

I cannot complain as since 2018 I have gained £510 and 12 months free Game Pass Ultimate through Microsoft rewards. This is via reward opportunities on my Xbox, Microsoft Edge browser, the Bing and Xbox apps, MSN Shopping, and MSN Fitness. It must be costing them a fortune and so all good things must end. MS are now gradually reducing the opportunities to earn rewards or reducing the rewards you get for completing a task. This is being done in a hap hazard way with no / little notification - there one day, gone the next. Consequently, I now play my Xbox less and will probably let my Game Pass Ultimate elapse at some stage. I have plenty of games from Epic, Steam, Amazon Games etc to play on my Desktop. As for using Edge/Bing, I have started to move away from these to Firefox and Brave. I don't blame Microsoft, as they are a commercial company, but I guess there will be consequences.

They're removing ways to earn points/rewards. Rather than simply taking it away though, they're painfully dragging it out. It's pathetic. I'd prefer the system entirely removed vs the slow and yet seriously obvious decline that they're doing. The searches have even become a pain in the a** as well, not as simple as scrolling the news platforms now. Microsoft, you're really good at ruining your customers experiences. Great job. 👌

Microsoft Reward is Scam in Pakistan. It simply doesn't work, and you won't receive any compensation

OTP System Not Working in Pakistan, and Microsoft Launches Reward Program—What a Joke! 😂

It seems they are scamming those who earn Microsoft points. I earned 16,000 points for a $4.5 coupon code. When I tried to redeem my reward, I faced an OTP error. Pakistani users cannot add a phone number to their Microsoft accounts, as it is not allowed officially by Microsoft.

If you don't have an OTP system, why are you operating in Pakistan?

The second part is even more interesting. When I messaged chat support, they assured me the highlighted issue would be resolved in 5 days. Now, after around 15 days, nothing has happened. Then, they sent an email suggesting I try using a friend's phone number. I tried, and now they claim I violated policy. Wow! Thank you for wasting my 4 months, and I hope for a resolution soon.
The Microsoft Reward program in Pakistan appears to be a scam. It simply doesn't work, and you won't receive any compensation

The " Customer Service advisors " are totally useless , IF they exist at all !!!
