DONT TRUST THEM

I’ve been leasing cars for over 20 years, and Mobilize is by far the worst lease company I’ve ever dealt with.

Agreement number: 2700035903.000

Over multiple months, Mobilize failed to take agreed payments from my account despite sufficient funds being available. Instead of taking accountability for their own errors, they marked payments as unpaid and negatively affected my credit file. I am still dealing with issues where one payment was never taken, while a later payment was collected instead, with no proper explanation ever provided.

Trying to contact them is a nightmare. I’ve spent 45 minutes to over an hour on hold on multiple occasions just trying to speak to someone. When you finally get through, they simply tell you that the department dealing with the issue “doesn’t take incoming calls” and that you have to email instead. The problem is, I HAVE emailed repeatedly, and those emails have either been ignored or responded to with generic automated replies saying somebody will contact me. Months later, nobody ever has.

I was even told specifically that a member of their complaints team would be getting back to me regarding my open complaint. That never happened. Instead of resolving the complaint, acknowledging their mistakes, or addressing the impact their errors have had on my credit rating and finances, they simply sent me a settlement figure to terminate the lease early at full cost, as though none of the problems they caused mattered.

To make matters worse, they also paid a congestion charge fine on my behalf without consulting me. I wasn’t afforded the chance to contest it. I later found out it was issued in error—so I didn’t even owe the fine. If I’d been able to contest it, I wouldn’t have had to pay. But they paid it automatically and took the money straight from my account without my permission. After weeks of chasing and arguing with them, they eventually refunded the money, but only after a long and frustrating process.

The car itself has been fine. The problem is the company behind it. Their customer service is appalling, communication is almost non-existent, complaints go unresolved for months, and when THEY make mistakes, the customer is the one who suffers financially and through damage to their credit profile.

If you’re considering leasing a car through Mobilize, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. I genuinely wish I had.

Atrocious VT procedure

I would rate them lower if that was even possible.

I started off by VT'ing my vehicle where the initial process went pretty smoothly, the guys came out when specified notified me of excess charges and went away.

At this point it all went downhill. 1 month later i finally get the final settlement (via phone - still awaiting to get this in the post which has supposedly been sent out), after having to call them from the 3+weeks mark, where i made the payment the same day.

After 1 month of chasing multiple times every week why the funds haven't yet been credited and my account closed i have been passed around from team to team advising they cant see it, speaking to another who can, only to then be contacted and saying my account is in arrears.

Happy to take your money, and then try and say you owe more.

Worst customer service ever!

I concur with other reviews here. The make you wait for hours on hold, then when you finally get them on the line they have no answers and put you on hold for ages again. Don't respond to emails either.
Stay clear of this company!

Avoid - slow and poor service

Avoid. Very slow to respond, taking minimum of 4 weeks customer service is extremely poor, no interest in advocating for customer rights or resolution. We were without a car for 3 months and they only offered compensation of £150

Complete disregard for consumer rights…

Complete disregard for consumer rights and a deeply frustrating customer experience.

My dealings with Mobilize Financial Services have been characterised by poor communication, delayed responses, and a lack of transparency throughout. Emails often go unanswered or require repeated chasing, and when replies do arrive they are frequently vague and fail to address the core issues.

For context, the Dacia Jogger financed through Mobilize was purchased nearly new with approximately 650 miles on the clock. Serious drivetrain faults became evident within a few months of purchase.

To the best of my knowledge, the vehicle has since required four complete clutch and flywheel replacement / major repair events at approximately:

* 5,000 miles – first major failure
* 7,000 miles – second failure
* 8,000 miles – third failure
* 15,000 miles – fourth failure

That means the vehicle suffered three major failures within roughly the first 8,000 miles of my ownership, and four by around 15,000 miles total mileage. For a nearly new family vehicle, those figures are shocking and wholly unacceptable.

After the second failure, I exercised my right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. While that complaint was still being considered, the vehicle then failed for a third time. Despite this, my rejection request was not upheld.

It has since failed again for a fourth time.

My subsequent complaint regarding my final right to reject has now exceeded the expected complaint handling timescale, leaving me without a clear resolution while the vehicle remains at the dealership. The customer service team has often felt aloof, absent, and at times obstructive rather than supportive.

At every stage I have largely been met with assurances that the car has been “repaired,” yet the same issue has continued to return. That is not a satisfactory outcome for any consumer, particularly where a family vehicle is concerned.

I have been left without confidence in the vehicle, without trust in the process, and without a practical resolution despite significant inconvenience and months of disruption.

A finance company should stand behind consumers when a supplied product repeatedly fails. In my experience, Mobilize Financial Services have fallen well below that standard.

I would be happy to amend or withdraw this review should a fair and reasonable resolution now be reached.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Leased a car it went back early termination, as didn’t like the car & circumstances changed. It was in immaculate condition & only done 9000 miles in less than 3 years, 9000 miles under the agreement. Car never indicated service due. It had had 1 service They said there was a missing service & would not negotiate the inspection cost. Took them 2 months to let me know. Advised them to email me as out of the country for some time but they did not do this, just sent me a nasty text. Would never lease again & definitely never deal with Nissan again.

Zero Stars- 2 year old reading skills

I had an Audi and finance through these guys. Did the normal thing and got a new car. Different finance company, settlement paid to mobile. Unfortunately they don't seem to be able to mobile their fingers to do basic admin. Chasing me for a payment after I sold the car and trying to get another on from me at the end of this month. Even though I am no longer the registered keeper of the previous car and they have been paid through the new finance company. Guy on the phone tried to argue it, unknown to him I am legal counsel for a corporate company. If you like attempted daylight robbery then go with these guys, however if you like a finance company that can read stay well clear of mobilize.

Booked lease car in for MOT&Service via…

Booked lease car in for MOT&Service via their link to fleet assistance. Arrived at garage - drove away in courtesy car. Received a call an hour later to state that Mobilize wouldn’t authorise the MOT or Service. Called Mobilize - after being pushed from pillar to post finally spoke to someone. She couldn’t help immediately but managed to get authorisation for the MOT. Was too late for garage to carry out so had to return courtesy car and wait for it to be rebooked. Mobilize rebooked it themselves for the following week but wouldn’t authorise the service - no explanation given. Took car in today - garage had received authorisation to proceed which they did. They then received a note from mobilise stating not to proceed! They’d already completed it and fixed a minor problem. Mobilize then refused to pay! Called them - got put through to Fleet Assist who have nothing to do with authorisation! They claimed that I was over contractual mileage even tho I increased my mileage allowance! Have had no response to my formal complaint following the previous weeks debacle! Currently out of pocket £450 because of their mistake! Cowboys! Will be contacting ombudsman at earliest opportunity

Great Customer Service!

Very concerned after reading reviews. I’m selling my car, so needed proof that there is no outstanding finance on my Zoe battery.
I phoned early and got through straight away. I received excellent customer service, with her being polite and pleasant, and she emailed the document straight away.
Unfortunately my phone didn’t show this, so she offered to phone back when I got home, a couple of hours later, to check that it was received and that everything was alright. Pleased to say that she did phone back, and at the time that she said that she would.
The whole experience was excellent!

Terrible company !!Please avoid !!

From the beginning it had been difficult to actually speak with someone. The automated line advises someone will call back but never does or doesn’t ring long enough to answer. Calls constantly drop out no callback. Handed my car back and it took a month to hear anything back from them. Impossible to dispute any charges as no one is available to speak and just keeps passing you over to someone else. Terrible company I wouldn’t reccommenr anyone to use

COMMUNICATIONS AND PROCEDURES SEVERELY LACKING

Ordered Renault Rafale for leade in Oct 25 for Mar 12 26 delivery. Leasing company great throughout, fourth time using them. Submitted financial data, approved by Mobilize in Oct 25 and agreements all electronically signed and approved. Asked at the end of Feb for consent access to accounts, no problem I thought until the questions came in asking for references for income because it was a joint account. I gave them the information when accent to accounts was given in Oct and for info the account was even healthier. I also pointed out the same joint account was approved by Mobilize for my existing Renault Austral being replaced by the Rafale and all payments made in full and ontime. Their collection company Mannheim are as much use as a chocolate teapot wanting to collect my Austral 5 days after del of Rafale. I went to look at Jaecoo PCP at the weekend and could have approval in 3 working days. Seriously considering telling Mobilize where to stick the new car if del date affected. Avoid this company at all costs.

Poor customer service! I had to do the chasing to find out what was going on. They do not notify you of anything and when they call the operators sound like a scammer trying to get my details.

I've have found myself needing to repeat myself multiple times to the person on the phone because they can't understand me and I can't understand what they are saying over 1/2 of the time!

Awful, Incopetent and Rubbish. Steer well clear

So, got a settlement balance and traded my car in for another. Dealer paid the finance but mobilize rejected the payment. I then ended up paying another months interest + payment.
The dealer sold my old car, only to find there was still a HPI marker. Had to get another settlement balance. They paid and yet they still did not confirm the account closure.
After 7 calls in 8 days (giving the same security info each time), on the last call they told me my details were incorrect. They had asked for the DD figure which I told them and they told me that was not the last payment. Well, it wouldnt be would it ?
These guys are totally, utterly useless. Cannot clear an account in a timely fashion which you need when buying another car. It is definitely the worst experience in over 40 years of financing cars.

Changed the settlement figure when it came to sell the car

I got a dacia sandero in December 2023. Due to circumstances changing, I ended up with a company car and I no longer needed my dacia as I had 2 cars. I knew I was in a deficit and I would have to pay a dealership the difference in what the car was worth vs the settlement figure. I was completely fine with this as I wanted the car sold and gone. I obtained a settlement figure through the online portal of £10,333.03 but I needed it in writing to sell my car. I called the company and was asked if I would like to remove my service plan for the future (they asked me I had no idea this was an option) I said yes and they sent me in WRITING a settlement figure of the £10333. I got all my documents together and went to the dealership to sell my car. All I needed was to speak to someone at mobilize just so they could confirm it was me who owned the agreement and the settlement figure was correct. All of a sudden at the dealership they claimed the settlement figure was incorrect and it was more than they told me. I literally had it in writing and phone confirmation from them. The person on the phone was absolutely useless and could not explain why. They said its impossible to remove the service plan but couldnt explain why they did do that and why I received the settlement figure. She refused to transfer us to a manager for an hour and I could not get a straight answer or explanation for anything. Once I got through to a manager they said that you can in fact remove the service plan (which the person before said absolutely cannot happen) but that you would have to pay the monthly payments for a service plan for a car you dont even own. Why do their staff not know the correct policy? Why would mobilize offer me the option to cancel the service plan and get a settlement figure and not explain that it would be a monthly payment or anything like that. It was just complete incompetence and I ended up spending 2 hours at the dealership trying to sort it all out. The sales representatives at the dealership were also confused and couldnt believe how badly it had been handled. Maybe in the future train your staff properly and dont try to blame customers for your own mistakes that are in writing
