Mova London appear to be a Chinese scam…

Mova London appear to be a Chinese scam company. The items delivered were not of the description or fabric types indicated on the website. The products they delivered were unbelievable poor quality worthless tat.
They refuse to provide returns labels or legitimate returns information. The only communication I get from them is what appears to be AI chatbot email responses requesting return to a Chinese address at the customer expense. They have shown no indication of adhering to their returns policy or the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

I feel very silly as I should have read…

I feel very silly as I should have read Trust Pilot first.
I believed that they were based in the Netherlands but that is a front.
The website is good and the pictures draw you in to what looks like a really good item to purchase.

Once I received an email that my item had cleared customs my stomach sank.
I ordered the 03 Jan and received 23 Jan.

I ordered a brown dress I received an orange piece of extremley poor quality no fit for purpose piece of material.

The return process was a refusal that anything was wrong and my item was in my opinion not to my expectation and I could choose 10% refund 50% credit or return to china at my own expense for full refund.

I found another poor sole who spent £100 & was adament they wanted their refund. They paid tge £20 postage 4 months later the item is stuck in customs and the company claim no item no refund.

Please we need to Unite together to close this company down.

Dishonesty illustrated.

The item, a rain mackintosh, delivered did not match the picture on the website. It was of poor quality and lacked both a belt and the cuff straps clearly shown in the website illustration even though the loops for both accessories were present on the garment. The company claimed the illustration was an error and refused my request for a full refund unless I paid the return carriage to China. When pressed, they did an unacceptable refund of 20% of the original price of £58.47 but refused to accept they had misrepresented they item on they're website.

Brought the Henry long jacket slim fit 3XL. Wouldn’t fit a 10year old child. Didn’t even reach my waist. Also brought some chinos XL. Again small at best and completely see through. I have been conned out of £80 no chance of refund. Please please please don’t buy from this company.

I ordered a blazer on Jan 7th

I ordered a blazer on Jan 7th. It arrived Jan 24th via Yodel.
The item I ordered was made from an entirely different material compared to the one advertised online.
On the website they have Trust Pilot scores of 5 star, obviously fake ratings.
Avoid at all costs.

HOW I GOT A 100% REFUND - Refund only offered after costly return to China

Edit - How I got a full refund:

After getting nowhere with Mova-London, I contacted Shopify and Whop, as these are the two platforms Mova-London uses to run their business.

Whop is actually a very good platform for managing online businesses, including payments, and they have a Resolution Centre. I’d recommend creating a free Whop account and reporting your experience dealing with Mova-London to them.

In my case, Whop contacted Mova-London, who disputed the claim. Mova even provided Whop with an edited selection of our email correspondence that was clearly chosen to work in their favour. However, Whop must also have reviewed the Trustpilot evidence I sent them.

Whop refunded the full amount, and I’m confident they will take this further with Mova-London. If others here do the same, Whop may decide it isn’t worth continuing to deal with Mova-London.

Good luck!

Original post follows:

Items received did not match the website photos/description. When I requested a refund, I was told I must return the items to China at my own expense (with customs risk) and only then would a refund be considered.

The business behind the site is Holly Goods (KVK 75183773) and the sole proprietor is Thijmen Salo Hulst. The payment appeared on my statement as “Whop*Movalondon”, and the store appears to be operated using Shopify.

I have reported the matter to Whop and Shopify. If you’ve had a similar experience, you may wish to do the same.

Would not recommend.

Do not touch this company with a barge…

Do not touch this company with a barge poll. Total con artists. Shoddy, poorly made goods at expensive prices. Claim to be London based but in fact are in China. If you request a return and refund they expect you to cover the cost of shipping and customs which is more than the value of the goods. Or, they'll refund 10% and you keep items which you'll never wear because they are so badly made!! Clearly a very cynical way of ripping off genuine customers.

If you’re thinking of ordering, don’t.

Ordered a pair of grey cargo pants for about 30 pounds. Took 3 weeks to arrive and quality was absolutely terrible I feel like I was the target of a scam. Not one redeeming thing about them. Went straight in the trash as soon as I opened the package.
