Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the pricing to be extremely high and felt that the company often charged exorbitant amounts for repairs, sometimes without even fixing the problem. People frequently reported terrible customer service, with experiences ranging from rude staff who raised their voices and hung up, to long hold times and unreturned calls. Reviewers also encountered issues with the product or service itself, including technicians failing to properly diagnose problems, not having the right parts, or providing poor quality repairs that did not resolve the issue. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with individual technicians, describing them as professional, knowledgeable, and efficient in diagnosing and repairing appliances. A few other people also felt that the cost was reasonable and that the service was prompt and effective.

Refused Phone Quote, Charged $153, Then Quoted $500 for a Simple Repair

I contacted Mr. Appliance of Greater Atlanta for a dishwasher repair and provided photos, a video, and the model and serial number in advance, clearly explaining that the latch/handle was broken. Despite this, they refused to provide a quote over the phone and required a service visit with a $153 diagnostic fee.

The technician arrived and, within about five minutes, confirmed that the latch was broken — exactly what had already been documented beforehand. I was then told the part would need to be ordered and that it would take another week, requiring a second visit. No meaningful diagnostic work was done, and for such a common issue, the technician did not arrive with the part.

I was quoted $500 for the repair, which I found unreasonable given the simplicity of the issue and the lack of value provided during the visit. I requested a refund of the diagnostic fee and was refused.

After I initially posted a review elsewhere, the company publicly stated they would offer a refund, then later changed that response and denied the refund. I retained a screenshot of the original response.

I’m sharing this factual experience so other consumers understand the fees and policies before scheduling service.

He was so good, I have requested that he does all of my repairs in the future. It's hard to find someone you can trust and Paul is one of them.

Worst appliance service ever

Very unprofessional it took over 5 1/2 months to get my refrigerator working again after they made numerous visits to try and fix it. They have no respect for your property. They leave a mess when they leave and they tell you it is fixed you go buy groceries that cost over $200 And then two days later the fridge quit working and the guy told me what do you want me to do was not my fault just very unprofessional and very expensive

Avoid using Mr. Appliance of Doylestown

In August of 2025, I hired Mr. Appliance of Doylestown to install an icemaker in my basement. The technician came to my house three times to try install it. The first time he came later in the afternoon and said that he shouldn't have been schedule for this time because he had a personal appointment to go to; he left without installing it. He came back two weeks later and improperly installed the icemaker, which flooded my basement the next day. He came back a third time to tell me I had the wrong icemaker, I should order another one, and I should also hire a carpenter to create an access panel when the new icemaker gets delivered, it would be easier for him to install the icemaker, which should prevent the leaking that happened when he initially installed the other icemaker. I had a carpenter come by, and he said that any decent plumber could install this icemaker without an access panel, and that the Mr. Appliance technician is clearly incompetent. I then hired a plumber to install the icemaker properly for $250 in November, almost three months, after I hired Mr. Appliance of Doylestown and paid them over $400.00 to do nothing. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB has informed me that Mr. Appliance won't engage with them. Please be careful dealing with these people.

Terrible staff terrible service

We called this company to fix our fridge. They were supposed to to call for the gate code and did not do that. Just showed up. I asked them to email the invoice and they did. My bank was unable to notify them that the money had been deposited in their account because they do not put their Gmail on the invoice and that is required by the Rbc. I sent them a photograph of the E transfers and two emails and they chose not to go look for the money. Then they sent me a snotty letter and when they phone back, they’ve tried to blame it on us. This is a horrible company that I would never do business with again and I hope nobody does either.

Incompetent and sleazy

Incompetent and sleazy. Mr. appliance came out to my home and charged me for an appliance that they didn’t end up installing. The part did not come in when they said it was going to come in, and then when it finally came in, they were trying to tell me that they needed to replace two parts. After that, I decided to just replace the appliance, and they still have not issued a refund. Their incompetent receptionist, Kiara, told me four times that the check was in the mail. This morning, they are telling me that the check was never put in the mail. I expressed my disappointment to the manager, Tabitha, and she had the audacity to tell me that the receptionist was not lying the 4 times that she told me the check was in the mail and the time she told me she was going to get me a tracking number. these people are the epitome of sleaze and incompetent do not use them. At this point, I may need to take them to court, but hopefully the owner will do the right thing.

Our oven was not working

Our oven was not working. The tech diagnosed it as a circuit board, which was going to cost well over $1000. I shut the breaker off and left it off for weeks waiting for Mr. Appliance to schedule the appointment to install the new circuit board upon scheduling the repair date which I took the day off. They called me and told me the circuit board had not arrived. I then for the heck of it turned the circuit breaker on and the oven worked perfectly since they wanted to charge us a 20% restocking fee on a circuit board that was never delivered to them called the manager several times not once. Did he return my call Very very very poor customer service never use Mr. Appliance. You will be ripped off.

Mr Appliance was sent to my house for a warranty issue. The tech diagnosed the problem grossly incorrectly, even the manufacturer doesn't support their diagnosis. Because of this diagnosis, I spent $750 and the problem was still not resolved. I have called several times to speak to a manager to no avail. I need help in resolving this problem. PS. they are sending a new stove but want me to pay to remove the old one. That's their customer service. Don't buy from them.

Bad mistake to hire this company

Technician came out to repair ice maker in Samsung refrigerator. Total cost $764. Parts needed to be ordered and would take 5-7 days. 3 weeks later still don't have all the parts. Called to cancel order and was told assembly had come in and I would be charged for that-$413-plus diagnostic fee of $125. They would deliver the assembly in 4 days and refund $129. Still missing over $200. I will have to take them to small claims court to recover it. Extremely poor experience with this company

Please stay clear of this business

A tech came to my home and diagnosis that my fridge needed a power invertor. I ordered the $900 part with them and it came two days later; the same tech installed it that next day. After he completed the job, my fridge still wasn't cooling, and he told me that my fridge now needs a compressor but waited to tell me that after he charged me $1300. He said to give it 24 hours and if it's still not cold then he'll change the compressor but that job would be thousands of dollars and a full days of work. Something to keep in mind is that my fridge is a $10,000 GE Monogram fridge that I purchased in late 2021. The tech told me that those fridges only have a 2-year warranty so any work would have to come out of pocket. After spending a ton of money and going one whole week without my fridge functiong. I called another company to get a second opinion and they told me yes that the compressor was bad but their was no need to change the power invertor and that the previous tech didn't diagnosis it correctly. The best part was that all compressor parts are a 5 year warranty on GE Monogram and that the whole job would only cost me thier $95 service fee. After all the work was completed and my fridge finally function correctly thanks to Lynq Appliances, I contacted Mr. Appliance Support and provided all the info and was only looking for getting my money back on the power invertor that was technically not bad. I was willing to pay their two service fees but all I got in return was that their sorry and that the company owner will call me. A week later here I am anxiously waiting for my phone to ring. Supper disappointed in this company and have NOTHING positive to say. In my eyes they didn't do the job correctly and are just squeezing every dollar they can out of their customers. If I could give them a negative star rating I would. Please learn from me and call Lynq Appliances. The tech Ray is one of the nicest guys I ever met and has incredible knowledge about appliances, the only company I will ever use or suggest.

Looks like I dodged a bullet

Looks like I dodged a bullet based on these other reviews. I scheduled an appointment for 12p-2pm and the lady called me at 1:12p saying that the technician has a doctors appt. and cancelled the appointment. I had even arranged for someone to be at my house and they knew that. Very unprofessional!!
