Extremely high prices. Tech was knowledgeable but I’m in the real estate industry and their pricing is crazy high! I highly recommend calling around for better pricing!

Unhappy with charges
Receptionist told me on the phone that there would be no charge since they were at my house the week before and I had paid over $200 BUT I was charged another $130.
DO NOT USE MR APPLIANCE
First DO NOT buy LG appliances. I"ve had major repairs on both LG refridgerator and now LG gas stone in less than 4 or 8 years. then DO NOT use Mr Appliance. Service man first diagnosed the problem as a faulty sensor for $135. Total repair $363. Brought the part only to now diagnose a faulty control board.. another $140. Now, he "transposed part no wrong" so it will cost even more. I am now in for $600 and could just buy a new stove. So after I canceled the 2nd repair, somehow I was refunded more than total for the 1st. They charged me for 2 service visits when the technician failed to diagnose both the 1st time. Just keep talking on more and more.... Smells of a scam. Never again.
They misdiagnosed issue
They misdiagnosed issue. Didn't know how to work with my appliance and they changed pricing consistently. This happened in July.
Where do I start
Where do I start. Pricing is sketchy. $129 to walk in the door plus labor added to that. Bill ended up being $223. Apparently that’s for the first appliance. I simply was not aware that if they simply look at the boot of a front loader washing machine for a minute, that’s an additional charge of $64 w/tax. Had I known that ahead of time I would have just had the initial appliance repaired. Repairman was professional, polite and the best thing with dealing with the Mechanicsburg Mr Appliance. I’m in the service industry and my charges are upfront and crystal clear. If I missed something I eat the cost. No questions asked. Use these people with eyes wide open.
If I could give the company a zero I…
If I could give the company a zero I would. Have a thermador dishwasher. The service representative clearly was not from my area, and more or less from a call center that I wouldn't be surprised if it wasnt even based in the united states. The woman read a scripted response to my call, and when asked questions that deviated from her script, she sounded like a robot and kept repeating the same thing. All said and done, she couldn't give me an answer If they serviced therador appliances. I would still have to pay $139.99 for a visit even if they showed up to tell me they didn't work on thermador and couldn't do the repairs. Total scam. NO THANKS! Stay away!
Made appt for fryer
Made appt for fryer. Given 4 hour window. Didn’t show.
I paid $116 for a repair person to come…
I paid $116 for a repair person to come to my home, tell me my washing machine was broken, the part wasnt available for 3 months, and there are no other options. A complete waste of time and money.
This company is the absolute worst
This company is the absolute worst. I would not recommend it to anyone. The customer service is almost as bad as the extremely high pricing and unreliable repairs. I’ve spent thousands and thousands with this company and I’ve gotten nowhere. My freezer is still broken. Avoid them at all costs.
Scam
Washing machine issue – extremely poor service.
I was told the drum needed repair on Aug 4th and that the part would arrive in two days. It has now been 3+ weeks, and nothing has been resolved.
I was charged an exorbitant amount upfront. I requested a refund so I could get the dryer repaired elsewhere, but they are refusing to return the money. I've now been without a working dryer for four weeks.
A customer service representative claimed the case was escalated to a supervisor, Melissa Maxwell, but she has not returned my calls. Every time I follow up, the team offers a new excuse for why she hasn’t contacted me.
This company is completely untrustworthy. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to stay away
Mr Appliance is a company built on…
Mr Appliance is a company built on scamming customers one at a time. Maximizing each service call through deceit and lies. They have zero qualifications and they are a nationwide business. Pick any location you like and look at the BBB report as well as trust pilot. These are not sources that they can manipulate and pay off like Google allows them to. I'm in Hot Springs Arkansas and they advertise my area from Sherwood which is almost 100 miles away. Locally owned and operated we promise. A complete lie. They are one hit wonders and I've been in business here for 22 years. I could just be quiet the only thing that aggravates me is why these companies build their self upon lies? When you start off lying to your customers before you even meet them how do you think it's going to go? Have a great day
Mr. Appliance Over the Mountain (Birmingham, AL) - Unfulfilled Refund and Lack of Communication
Mr. Appliance Over the Mountain (Birmingham, AL) visited my home on May 6, 2025, to perform a diagnostic on my washer, which had essentially stopped working. Larry, the technician, was friendly and thorough. He explained that he could repair the washer but would need to order a part first. I was told that if I moved forward with the repair, the $99 diagnostic fee would be waived, and a $300 deposit would be required to order the part. I agreed and provided a check for the deposit.
Larry returned on May 8, 2025, but unfortunately, the part did not resolve the issue. At that point, Larry advised that it would be more cost-effective to purchase a new washer. Since no repair was ultimately completed, I was told the $99 diagnostic fee would apply, and the remaining $201 of my deposit would be refunded via a mailed paper check.
It has now been over two months, and I have still not received the $201 refund.
I have emailed multiple times with no response. I’ve called repeatedly and left messages with the call center, and I also spoke directly with Derek several times, and each time he assured me the refund would be processed. I sent messages through social media, but again received no reply. On July 24, 2025, I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, and Mr. Appliance failed to respond to my request.
At this point, I'm incredibly disappointed with the lack of follow-through and communication. I understand that mistakes happen, but it should not be this difficult to receive a simple refund for services not rendered. I hope posting this publicly will finally prompt some resolution.
Mr. Appliance of Katy-
I very rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this company was so bad that I feel the need to warn others: run away, do not use this company.
I have a 20+ year old side-by-side refrigerator/freezer that was freezing food. Over several weeks, I saw three different repairmen from Mr. Appliance of Katy and ended up spending over $1,050 on parts, labor, and movers. Yes, the refrigerator is now working—but only after wasted time, unnecessary expenses, and constant frustration.
The first technician was polite but never checked the coils (critical on an older fridge, especially with pets in the house). Instead, he ordered $500 in parts.
The second technician, Pablo, came to install those parts. When they didn’t fix the issue, he immediately ordered another $350 in parts—without even checking the refrigerator. By then, I had already hired movers to disconnect and move my stacked washer/dryer because the office confirmed he would need it moved. It wasn’t needed. When I questioned him, he tried to blame the washer/dryer.
I confirmed again before the third visit, was told the washer/dryer needed moving, and once again hired movers—only to be blamed later that the technician couldn’t see other clients because he was waiting on my movers, something completely out of my control and something that could have been avoided if they had checked the coils when the movers were at my house the first time.
My refrigerator is still not working properly after spending over $1050!
I contacted the owner, Mr. Roberts, who assured me he would “take care of me.” His idea of that? A 10% off coupon text.
This company wasted my time, my money, and showed no respect for the customer. The glowing reviews on their website do not reflect the reality of their service. I would never use them again and strongly urge others to avoid making the same mistake.
I would not recommend this appliance…
I would not recommend this appliance company. I purchased a refrigerator from them three months ago, and it has already stopped cooling properly. When I called customer service, I was put on hold for over 45 minutes, only to be told someone would call me back. No one ever did.
When I finally got through to a technician a week later, they scheduled a repair, but the technician showed up late and didn’t have the right parts. Now I’ve been without a working fridge for almost two weeks, and I’m still waiting on a follow-up.
For the amount of money I spent, I expected much better quality and service. Very frustrating experience.
Watch your pocketbook!
I called for an estimate and was told it would be $380 plus tax. I thought that was pricy for what I needed, so I called around and found a reputable company to do the same thing for $208 plus tax. Watch your pocketbook with this company! I will never use them!
I called to set up an appt my fridge…
I called to set up an appt my fridge was constantly running. I asked for a same day appt. They confirmed then called 2 hours later and said they couldn’t come that they closed at 6:00 and would come the next day. I explained to the technician that the fridge was running constantly. He checked the temperature and said it was fine and the noise was normal. He adjusted the temperature. Never looked behind the fridge to check anything else. I paid the 119.00 service fee. I noticed over the next couple of days that the fridge was running longer. 10 days after the service call my fridge ran for 8 hours I called and left a voicemail it was a Saturday. I called another repair place and they came out in an hour. He told me the compressor was bad that’s why it was running so long. He would replace but it could cost up to 1000.00 to repair and he recommended replacing the fridge since it was 11 years old. He also didn’t charge for the service call since he was only here for 15 mins. I would NEVER use Mr Appliance again
No Notification...Bad Service
Made appointment on their website for Tuesday afternoon. Explained brand of appliance and that it was a trash compactor. Received confirmation for a time slot of 12-4 Tuesday afternoon. Received follow up reminder of appointment. The day of the appointment I got a call from the technician stating their company does not work on trash compactors! They cancelled the appointment! Why did they make the appointment in the first place??? I could have been in contact with a company that actually works on the appliance I need to have repaired. Here I am on the day of the appointment and still have a broken trash compactor. BAD SERVICE!!!!!
Horrible experience!
Horrible experience!
Tech diagnosed it with the wrong issue twice. It took almost 3 weeks to get fixed he made 4 trips to our house. Never had any parts always had to order them and wait until they came in.
He also asked my husband to order a part off Amazon said that it would be delivered quicker.
Before he did anything he always asked to speak to my husband. I had to let him know I was capable of making decisions and he didn’t need my husbands permission to fix the washer I had money to pay him and wasn’t a stay at home mom. When he finally fixed the washer he told me it was my fault it was broken.
What a screwy operation!!
I made an appointment witht Mr. Appliance online to repair my washer on July 4. NO one ever came, nor did I receive any calls despite callling the company 2 times to check. Then on July 7, Mr Appliance called to schedule the appointmenet. I told the receptionist about the failure on 7/4. That day, a technician, came. Did a great job. Provided me with some great information.
Yesterday, 7/13, my dishwasher broke. So I again made an appointment with Mr. Appliance for 7/15/25 between 2:30 and 4:30. I received confirmation via e mail. At 1300 on 7/15, I received an e-mail with a receipt for service. It was marked with all zeros. I saw the e-mail around 3 pm. I called to find out what is going on and got the answer that my home was deemed unsafe. Really!! Then I got a voicemail from the owner, and could not understand any of the message. I can't believe you have so many great reviews. This is twice my request for service has bee screwed up!!
Ice Machine : Repairman not Prepared to Service machine
Joshua the repair man walked into the house. Based on a video I gave him, he diagnosed the machine with a failing gearbox. I asked him to at least clean the machine while he was there-he could not even wipe away the dust off of the grill let alone run a descaling process. He did not have any descaler on his truck-who goes to an appointment to repair an ice machine without descaler? He said he would return for another appointment to descale-of course he did as this would earn him an extra $100 travel fee in addition to the repair fee for the second trip!
At first I was told they could not…
At first I was told they could not come, then got a call back that they could come one week later. He shows up, runs a code, says I need to contact kitchen aid. Fastest 169.00 I ever threw away for absolutely no work done, no quote, absolutely no help. Worst appliance repair I have ever experienced.
