BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE
They upsell the heck out of you. Like the reviews state, the rangefinder is good it’s all the other items. For me, I couldn’t get them to stop sending me emails when I discovered that their product was benefiting the Red Chinese Government (4%~8% of items manufactured in China go to government) that have Uyghur Muslims in Concentration Camps (Google “BBC Uyghurs Boxcars”). There’s 3-4 other nations that are our Allies that make range finders.

Sadly there’s a US veteran group that supports these guys.

Update From Response: So you say it’s my opinion that the Chinese Government does not get 4%~8% from the manufacturing that is done in China and/or you say it’s my opinion that the Uyghur Muslims have been put in Camps. Why don’t you address in your response why you don’t manufacture in other nations that (India, Vietnam, Jordan, Mexico, etc) that are not our number #1 adversary? “Made in China” is your choice not my opinion.

I wish I could give zero stars

I bought a rangefinder from MGS and have no issues with the rangefinder so far. Shortly thereafter I received an email advising me of the benefits of their Loyalty Program. I responded in writing that I did not sign up for the loyalty program and they were not authorised to charge my credit card. A few weeks later I received a $29 charge on my credit card. I have now contacted the fraud department of my bank to get this resolved. This is not a reputable company.

FREE OFFER costs 9.95 plus 49.95 in hidden subscription

I responded to a free offer...just pay for shipping. Ha! I paid the 9.95 shipping for a piece of plastic with 4 plastic cylinders that get placed on the piece of plastic...the whole item would have sold in a dollar store and with USPS 2day shipping for 6.95 I would have saved $2 ...assuming I would have bought the garbage in the first place.... a couple weeks later I get a 49.95 charge for unknown reasons. I wrote them an email but no response. This business is predatory and a scam. Just shy of a bait and switch con! I'm reporting them to the FTC BBB and any other alphabet I can find, not to mention my State's IG office. They have no ethics. Stay clear!

Watch out!!

Watch out for a very cheesy business practice by “My Golfing Store”. I bought an Eagle Eye laser range finder. And, in the fine print, if you don’t read it carefully and then “Opt Out”, you will be charged $29 a month for online lessons. A reputable business wouldn’t try to trick a customer by this tactic! I am not impressed with My Golf Store and will never recommend them to my golf buddies. In fact I will warn them of this sneaky tactic. I will never do business with My Golf Store again. Shame on you!!

cancelling is to hard for this so called academy

you can't cancel this so called academy. After posting this the company reached out and cancelled the 'subscription' which is automatically added when you order any "sale" items they have.
But the "Cancellation" button on the website doesn't work, so you would have to hunt thru legal paragraphs to find where to call or email.
If you are going to put a "Cancel" button on your site you should make sure it works.

Got my first Eagle Eye and was experiencing measurement issues. I contacted customer service and they had me do some tech checks. I took the rangefinder back on the course and still experienced issues. I talked to Rob Connelly and he said he would immediately exchange. Within 4 days I had a new Eagle Eye and returned the old one. Replacement works perfectly. Many thanks to Rob and his team for their professionalism. I now highly recommend “My Golfing Store” and the Eagle Eye rangefinder for their quality and customer service!!

Decent For The Price

***Update: David, Creative & Customer Service Director, called and emailed me shortly after leaving my initial review and offered to send a replacement device. I am happy that they finally agreed to send a replacement, but still a bit disappointed it took me having to leave this review to get to that point, especially after providing my full experience to Rachel via email just prior.

I still feel “Water resistant” should be removed from the product description of they should redesign the device so that it is more resistant to water. Knowing now that this device cannot touch even a drop off water in the future, I can better prepare for keeping it away from moisture.

As for the functionality of the device itself, it locks onto the flag very easily and quickly, even if your hands are shaky. The slope adjustment is a great feature and very easy to read the distance and all other text when looking through the eye hole.

I don’t have much experience with other range finders, but it’s a very good price for the product (even if you can’t use it in the rain/drizzle).

Original Post:

This product is NOT as advertised. Bought it and used one, it started to drizzle. I immediately took it and covered it with my towel and kept it dry. Those few drops of water that got on it rendered it useless as there is now water stuck in the eye piece. It won’t come out and My Golfing Store won’t replace it. This product is NOT water resistant. If ANY water gets on it, it’s destroyed. Tried contacting them and “Rachael B” said there is nothing they can do and I can buy a new one. Why waste more money?!

Trust your gut and buy it.

Everything I read said it was what I wanted. My address was incorrect causing a delay. So I emailed customer support. They answered within 30 minutes. Once the change was made, it arrived promptly.

I used it this past week for the first time. Our carts already had a gps system, so I was able to compare yardage from both. They were constantly right on the money.

It's so easy to use. Even shaking doesn't matter. It locks in and that's it. Well worth the money, and definitely upgrade so it has a magnet. Great feature.

Great price
