Can't recommend My Pension Expert highly enough! I spoke to several colleagues over the space of a couple of weeks, and every single one was knowledgeable, friendly, patient and helpful. Special mention to my financial advisor, Emma Unsworth, for her invaluable help and support, she's amazing!
I was transferring my pension pot, as well as withdrawing the 25% tax-free amount. The whole process only took a few weeks, and they took care of everything. Communication was impeccable. I received my money much quicker than I had thought, without really having to do anything, except talk on the phone to a really lovely bunch of advisors. The world of pensions is a difficult one to navigate, but My Pension Expert guided me through it with no stress whatsoever. If you're struggling with your pension, give these guys a call, amazing service, amazing people, thank you!

The process was quick, easy but thorough. Everything was done to make sure I had the right product for my circumstances. Everyone I dealt with was very helpful and professional. All fees were made clear throughout and were reasonable (in fact were less than many others). Once the product had been selected everything went through quickly and I was kept well informed. Attempting to Draw Down Money From Investments Made Unnecessarily Difficult
My wife and I have investments that My Pension Expert manages. We have had these investments for many years and hardly touched them in the past. Originally other companies / financial advisers managed them, but they were taken over by My Pension Expert. My wife and I decided we wanted to cash in a proportion of our investments (not a large proportion) and all we have experienced are delays and obstruction. We had a call with a financial adviser today who kept repeating his advice to keep the money invested. He gave his rationale which we listened to but we maintained our decision to cash in. He didn’t seem to know what to do, but said he’d phone me back at 6 pm. He didn’t call, but just sent an email stating I should phone the investment platform myself if I still wanted to do this. It has now been over three weeks since my wife sent an email saying we wished to cash in a proportion of our investments and nothing has happened other than long phone calls trying to persuade us not to do this. We have good reasons for doing what we wish to do, but I don’t think we have been listened to and instead a “high pressure sales” type approach has been adopted where it almost feels like we will not be supported in any way to draw down some investments. I don’t think the system of not having an individual financial adviser works at all well; I suspect these different financial advisers are on some targets to keep investments in place and that takes precedence over the investors wishes. We have previously had no issue drawing down on our investments by simply sending an email to our ongoing financial adviser. I am considering making a complaint to the company, securing the services of an alternative financial adviser / company, or even seeing what the Financial Services Ombudsman Service has to say. Seriously disappointed today.
