I particularly appreciated the very short waiting time. I was then assisted by a very kind and professional staff member who was extremely helpful. I am very grateful for that

Overall ux of the app is very annoying

Overall ux of the app is very annoying. I have a feeling that in 2020 it worked better. Hard time to find information, hard time to keep an eye on spending and I miss many indicators. Too many ads of features instead of quick access to my banking information.
Expensive membership, but savings %went down drastically and I am thinking about to move to competitors (waiting for moment, when I will convince my partner). Not many things that would.make me stay.

They block access to your own money

This is the 4th day you have blocked access to my funds with no explanation or timeline given. I have contacted the regulator with a formal complaint. You give me no human to call or speak to and no meaningful update. You also do not respond to my written complaint.

In general N26 is ok

In general N26 is ok, but the overview getting more and more bad. A lot of advisement and other function which I do not need make handling bad... no need to not use instant transfer etc.

was an amazing app, not anymore

What was an amazing app, is now a AD platform of promotions of their own features. Banking is so difficult because you need to navigate all the distraction and interrupting ads

Edit: To your reply. I know I can disable notifications (which I did because they were overwhelming). I did refer to the navigation within the app, which can not be changed. These are the increasingly distractions of extra buttons, popups, cards, to advertise your own products

I have been using this bank for 7…

I have been using this bank for 7 years, and I have had an overdraft facility (Dispo credit) from the beginning. Everything was fine, despite the lack of savings offers and relatively expensive plans compared to the benefits.

Suddenly, in March this year, I was informed that my overdraft facility had been disabled due to changes in my credit profile. I have been using this account as my main account, and I have a positive SCHUFA score with no outstanding debts or payment issues.

I received a response stating that many factors can influence the removal of such options from the offer. I would like to emphasize that the option has completely disappeared from the app, with no possibility to re-enable or adjust it.
This is simply too much. I am now gradually moving my income elsewhere. This kind of treatment of a long-term customer is very disappointing.

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear of your disappointment that we can no longer offer an overdraft for your account. The Shcufa score would be only one aspect of this decision. Our factors include:

your N26 account activity, including incoming and outgoing payments and repayment history,

your income and expenses, to estimate your repayment capacity;

your external credit information obtained from credit reference agencies, which includes your credit rating and any records of payment defaults;

and other factual eligibility criteria, such as how long your account has been open or whether your account is subject to any legal restrictions.

Lack of Transparency in N26 Campaign

I recently participated in a Christmas campaign run by N26, where they encouraged customers to spend more money during the holiday period with the promise that 100 winners would be selected at the end.

However, after the campaign finished, there was no clear or transparent announcement of the winners. This lack of communication made the whole campaign feel questionable. Out of curiosity, I checked discussions on Reddit, where other users were also asking if anyone had actually won — and no one could confirm it.

This experience left me feeling disappointed and suspicious about the legitimacy of the campaign. Promotions like this should be handled with full transparency to maintain customer trust.

Because of this, I understand why many users are considering switching to alternatives like Revolut, where communication and trust seem to be taken more seriously.

Overall, this experience negatively affected my perception of N26.

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out with your feedback. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment with the communications around the winners of our promotional campaign.

The winners were contacted directly and funds transferred to their accounts. As this relates to customer bank accounts and finances we are especially mindful of GDPR rules and data privacy.

Whilst we understand this may be frustrating this decisions helps to protect the winners safety, privacy, and well-being from harassment, fraud, and theft.
