Started off quite well, everything was moving along quickly and they were responsive to our queries. After a little while, we stopped receiving replies to some emails and our solicitor (Jayne) was actually rather passive-aggressive, sometimes I braced myself before opening one of her emails because of the tone she used which made me very hesitant to chase her. She also went on annual leave for a period of time and the person dealing with her work actually hung up on us and ignored our emails, which was just unprofessional. No updates were provided unless we asked a couple of times, we were buying a no chain, freehold property but the process still look 5 months start to finish and we aren’t sure what the hold up actually was. The only way we managed to actually get the process moving along was to formally complain, and magically everything was sorted in a matter of days after that. They also tried to charge us more at the end than they had originally quoted us for. We might have just had an overworked solicitor as we are aware that they are very busy at the moment, but honestly I wouldn’t use them again as working with them was just stressful. We thought going for the pricier option would mean we get a better service but we are wishing we used a smaller local company now! Needless to say we are in the house now and they did do their job, I think customer service should be more of a focus and a bit of consistency with responses and standard of care should be looked at in future.
Nicole Chrisham has been nothing short of amazing for the purchase of our new house. Our house buying experience hasn't been the best due to other incompetent solicitors (from the selling of the old property). If all solicitors worked as well as Nicole, moving house wouldn't be one of the top most stressful things! She has always been reachable by phone or by email. She has explained everything so thoroughly - i would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks so much Nicole!

Great service I have recieved from napthens solicitor. Very easy and stress free in my Remortgage process. Thanks to shellene blackman. Completed all process in time. Thankyou.
Our solicitor Sally Calvert did a first rate job. Very efficient, kept me informed and was always accessible. Very pleased with the service and she ensured a stress free conveyance.
I am currently using the Preston branch to sell and buy a new property, my buyer is using Southport. I thought using the same company would make for a smoother process, but NO! 5 MONTHS after excepting the offer on my property we are no nearer to a completion date, even though Napthens have been working throughout lockdown!? Queries have been raised at the end of june that could've been raised in feb/March! They even "lost" proof of i.d that was scanned in at the Southport office. Never have i experienced such poor service from a firm. I could understand a slight delay due to covid and lockdown but this is beyond a joke now.

A big THANK YOU to Sally Abrams for all her help and assistance during a very difficult time. Her mix of compassion and tenacity is just the right combination required for dealing with belligerent ex husbands!!
I would not hesitate to recommend her and her colleagues at Napthens, excellent service all round.

Sally Abrams sending me harassing emails filled with accusations and nothing but lies, if you want her to write emails with nonsense in for a fee then probably a brilliant service but if you want a relationship with your daughter probably best avoid, as anything will be written and she doesn’t seem to care that a little girl will grow up without a dad as long as she gets her fee, given I already have a court order for access, I'm being harressed and taken back to court to reduce my 2 nights every other week and shared travelling, on the basis that my 5 year old is apparently bored on visits, this women has been given heaps of eveidence that my daughter is being alienated from me, and then i'm threatened with restraining orders if i contact my daughters mother to ask why I can't see my daughter, apparently can't afford to travel halfway as per the court order but apparently has the funds to fund this solicitor to send me numerous and upsetting communications to me, disgusting and morally bankrupt
Napthens have been excellent. As a first time buyer the process was very made very easy for me and communication at all stages was fantastic. Thanks so much

As a first time buyer I didn’t really know where to start and didn’t have a solicitor in mind. I was recommended Napthens by my estate agent, I picked them based on there competitive price in all honesty and I am so pleased I did. The first house I chose fell through after already sending forms and search costs to Napthens, they gave me options to leave it with them on the basis I found another or they’d refund the full amount when I expected they’d charge for the work already completed. I found another house and used the same lawyer Amy Leslie, the whole process was so smooth and she kept me informed by phone and email. Napthens sent me a log on to use there internet progress tracker so I could see what had been completed and what was left to do. I felt totally at ease and when friends advised me I’d need to pester my solicitor to get things moving I didn’t feel like I needed to at all. I have already recommended to friends and family and would definitely recommend. I don’t even live anywhere near a branch so was unable to pop in or speak with anyone in person, the whole process was still manageable over email.

We recently used Sally Calvert at Napthens for our conveyancing on the sale and purchase of a new property.
Sally’s service was incredible we were kept informed at every step of the way and felt Sally really had our back when an issue arose with our purchase. We found the whole process to be extremely efficient on the side of Napthens with almost instant responses to e-mails, regular phone calls and the online portal.
We would certainly recommend and use Napthens again!

Sally Calvert was exceptional from start to finish. With buying a repossessed property which was stressful, she answered any queries we had efficiently and in a timely manner and put us at ease with any worries we had.
Could not of asked anymore - Thanks Sally!

Sorry for my previous comments regarding Napthens which were unfounded. It transpires that they were working very hard on this in the background against matters that were beyond their control. The conveyance has taken place within the the timescales that they originally estimated and all is well. Every credit to the team. And no, not under pressure to say this. Would not hesitate to use this team having heard what they went through. Every credit!
Kate Mercer and staff (Blackburn office) have shown professionalism and client care throughout the sale of my property keeping me informed at every step. I would definately recommend Napthens Solicitors.

Awful firm and lack any kind of professionalism. Very slow doing basic jobs. The Preston office is a shambles
