We have used Nationwide Contract Beds…
We have used Nationwide Contract Beds for several orders (over 100 beds) in the past 12 months for our Staff Accommodation blocks. Not only have they been competitively priced they have also been very accommodating regarding splitting orders into multiple deliveries to meet our requirements.
Communication has always been great with quick responses to emails and phone calls.
Beds are good quality and sturdy which is exactly what we require in our accommodation blocks where we have frequent changes of resident.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them if you are looking to purchase new beds and would particularly recommend them to organisations placing large orders due to their competitive pricing, flexibility and great communication.
Everything was great except the sprung…
Everything was great except the sprung base concept. I have severe back pain and the only bed I have ever been comfortable in was an old sprung sofabed. This sprung base was a waste of money - the amount it moves is virtually the same as a hard base - about an inch makes no difference to the movement at the top of the mattress.
Horrendous experience
Absolutely dreadful experience.
First time I ordered mattresses was a breeze, so I went back for more and boy was that a mistake. Where do I start? I wanted my mattresses to be delivered quickly for my new holiday let, whilst staying there to renovate it (planning to sleep on them for a few weeks).
3 weeks of sleeping on a camping mat on the floor and many promises later...
1. Mattresses delivered by a toothless 67 year old man (I asked his age, he could barely stand up straight let alone lift a mattress) on his own before 7am on a Saturday morning - waking us up from our horrendous slumber to haul mattresses ourselves. My handyman basically had to lift the mattresses up 3 floors pretty much on his own. The agreement with Nationwide was that they would deliver TO THE ROOMS. Clearly they cut corners and hired the cheapest delivery option available: an elderly man totally ill equipped to do the job.
2. This was after the failed first delivery, which was already weeks late due to the headboard/divan supplier being short of the fabric I wanted. I had to chase that up with their supplier, because Nationwide didn't. In fact they didn't even bother to tell me there was an issue until I chased them a week after it I made my order. So I discovered the beds HAD been made, despite Nationwide telling me they had not.
3. The first delivery only included said headboards and divan, and no mattresses... after all of that. At least there were two people in the van that time.
4. The mattresses were filthy - rubbing dirt up my newly painted walls as we moved them upstairs. Now we need to repaint.
5. I was constantly given the fob off by Nationwide, with phone calls unreturned, promises unmet and emails ignored.
An absolute shit show. These are expensive mattresses, for a commercial holiday let.
Never again. Steer well clear if you actually want the right order, delivered in time, and you don't want to hump them up the stairs yourself!!!

Two divans
Ordered 2 reinforced divans were delivered to room of choice with a week, came well packaged and appear well made, would recommend and use again.

Good product - delivery could have been a bit more efficient- however at least carriers rang me!
Sturdy, yet stylish beds
Very helpful arranging delivery to suit our timing. Beds themselves well made and sturdier than other metal beds we have tried before. Look as if they will last and stand up to the joys of youth!
