Tried Nebius for one evening

Tried Nebius for one evening – ended up paying hundreds of dollars. Cancel option is hidden.

I signed up to Nebius just to experiment for one evening. I honestly didn’t understand what I was starting, but the platform automatically launched virtual machines and storage that kept running in the background for months. I never got any real results, yet I received a very large bill.

The worst part: there is no clear “cancel subscription” button. To actually stop billing you must manually:

Delete all Virtual Machines

Delete attached disks and storage buckets

Shut down managed services (MLflow, Spark, Ray, etc.)

Delete your Cloud

Finally close your account

For a new user this is not obvious at all. If you are not already a cloud expert, it’s far too easy to get trapped paying for resources you don’t even know are running.

My advice: Only use Nebius if you already have expertise in cloud infrastructure. Beginners should avoid it.
