Withdrew some funds and they said they had paid it into my bank on 8th July.

Having contacted my bank on 14th July they said that they have had no such transaction.

I contacted nest who said "The payment is scheduled to be processed tomorrow 15th July.

I have the letter via email from them CLEARLY stating that payment had already been sent on 8th July.

How long would i have been waiting if I didn't contact them 🤔

I immediately withdraw ALL my funds from this bunch of reprobates.

Failed to address their own internal dispute resolution. Please see my comments below copied and pasted from my previous complaint, where they replied to say the matter was being treated urgently. 3 weeks later and still no response or resolution. they will not put what they say on the phone in an email, as they know they are acting unlawfully.
Total incompetence to the highest level trying to get the pension paid to the executives of the deceased is almost impossible they keep asking for probate when it not applicable as the deceased estate is insolvent they disrespect the deceased and the family and make false statements and promises and believe it or not they even state that they need to speak to the deceased I was dealing with a individual called Hannah who repeatedly said that she would send emails within days nearly 3 weeks later I have received nothing their disrespect is absolutely disgusting they have been given documentation from the court stating that the executrix was appointed by the court and they still will not pay out
Avoid this company at all costs if your loved one passes don’t expect them to pay out without lots of hassle they don’t know or recognise Scottish law

Hi Kim,

Thank you for your feedback.
Like all pensions, your Nest pension pot is invested in financial markets like stocks, shares and property. We pick markets that generally rise in price over the years, choosing the ones we think will make money for you over the years, if not decades that you’re saving with us. Our goal is to make sure that your pot grows enough to match or beat the rising cost of living. You can see how our funds are performing at: nestpensions.org.uk/schemeweb/nest/investing-your-pension/fund-choices/compare-fund-performance.html

Not a secure nest for any pension

I have NEST Pension account from a couple of small companies that I worked for.

Today, I discovered that NEST has allowed one of those companies to withdraw all of the NEST pension contributions through I contributed through salary sacrifice. The withdrawals have happened in May and June 2026; I left employment with the company in 2024. The employer provided a minimal pension to meet UK statutory pension duties, I had contributed more than the employer.

NEST says the employer is allowed to make "corrections" at any time. The money removed exactly matches the salary sacrifice on my payslips. This was not the former employers money to remove.

The employer had a contractual and legal obligation to pay pension contributions. There was no clawback clause in the employment contract. The scope of issues here is huge. Firstly, the employer is in breach of at least 4 different statutes and NEST is shown to have a complete lack of controls. NEST will not say what the justification for removing the funds is.

This is going to get much more formal and seems likely to end up at the Pensions Ombudsman.

--

I have spoken with NEST today. They say the employer is free to make any adjustments at all for up to 24 months after they are made. In this case, adjustments are made for before and after 24 months. NEST is completely unphased by this - "they must have given us a letter" - so NEST let them deduct all of the contributions made through salary sacrifice in 2024. Nothing left.

I would strongly recommend moving your pension out of NEST if you change employer. They have given away all of the money recorded as from the employee that was recorded on my payslips. No controls whatsoever.

Fundamentally, I doubt their systems are secure either - logging on requires username, then password, then a 5minute captcha, then SMS verification. What is with the captcha after the user has been authenticated? Today I've had > 10 rounds of captcha for one login. Who thinks this is a good experience. Absolutely stinker company.

There is also no way to see the value of your pension over time. I'm dual US / UK, and have to report maximum value of UK pensions across calendar years. NEST is completely unhelpful on this.

Can you help me expose Nest

Can you help me expose Nest?
Nest Pensions destroyed my life for 6 months while I have kidney failure and a baby on the way
My name is Natanael. I have kidney failure caused by hypertension. I have a baby on the way. Since February 2026 I have been trying to access my own pension money through Nest Pensions due to incapacity to work. What followed was six months of lies, contradictions, and humiliation that no seriously ill person should ever have to endure.
Here is what happened:
Nest's own form stated that a doctor from abroad could complete my incapacity forms. My doctor is in the Netherlands. I paid to have the forms completed and sent. In June 2026 — four months later — Nest told me for the first time that the doctor needed to be UK based. Four months. Gone. Money spent. Health deteriorating.
In June 2026 Nest admitted service failure in writing. They promised to prioritise my case. They broke that promise immediately. Every deadline missed. Every timeframe contradicted. If anyone knows a journalist or an influencer to expose them let me know. Company procedure needs to change, it has been hell and very humiliating. God is gonna help me.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. My lump sum was sent to me 3 months earlier than requested. Their emails are all "template" standard responses to my questions. I even received a letter through the post recently telling me that I needed to start preparing to take out my lump sum ... 3 months after getting it. Customer Service is near to useless.
