Perfect Support in complicated German bookkeeping
In a long but detailled support chat with odoo team member Gabriel (gamo) we found a wrong tax booking in a single document which made the whole monthly tax report incorrect.
Thats not just supporting sowtware-bugs, thats supporting users in daily work.

We find Odoo gives excellent value for money; per user subscriptions are reasonably priced and with access to all apps it's a lot fairer than many other software offerings that charge more for every additional function. Add the consideration that Odoo has such a wide range of apps (SRM, accounts, sales, inventory, website, jobs, etc...) another major advantage is that it has allowed us to consolidate multiple disjointed apps into a single platform which makes operations flow much better and reduces software subscription costs for our business overall.
Currently running Odoo SaaS (online) and find that the studio functions provide a lot of customisation. Every member of the Odoo team that we've worked with has been engaging and helpful, they know their product well and can think outside the box to offer solutions for workflows outside everyday norms.

Overall very happy with the software, especially at its price point. We are a small company active in distribution and field service with <10 employees and use Odoo for nearly everything. What it can do out of the box is enough for us, with only minor tweaks in Studio.
The onboarding support could be better, but technical support is decent. Be careful when upgrading to the next version however, as that tends to break things.

Odoo promises an all-in-one platform, but the reality is frustrating. The interface is overly complex, modules are poorly integrated, and customer support is slow to respond. Hidden costs quickly add up, making it far less efficient and more expensive than advertised. Not ideal for businesses looking for a seamless or reliable solution.

Software sucks.
YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO CODE YOURSELF TO USE THIS!!!
It's NOT plug and play, and it's full of bugs.
The support is also completely useless.
They take a week to respond, and when they do, it's a general deflection. They don't want to solve anything, they just want to close tickets.
Whenever I address bugs in their code, they ask for a duplicate database (which is something that will break it), to test. It's literally in their own code...
I can't count the times that I've had to fix their bad code myself, since there are too many...

Our experience with Odoo has been terrible from start to finish. The product was completely mis-sold — what their sales team promised during the demo was not what we actually received. Once they had the payment, support became almost non-existent. Emails went unanswered, and every small issue turned into another “paid customisation.”
When we asked for a refund, they refused, even though it was obvious the system didn’t meet what was agreed. After weeks of chasing and wasting time, the only way we got any money back was through a credit card chargeback — Odoo themselves wouldn’t return a penny.
We’ve wasted so much time and effort trying to make a broken system work. The whole process has been exhausting and completely unprofessional.
My advice: do not pay Odoo upfront. Get everything in writing, and be prepared for poor service if things go wrong. There are much better, more honest ERP providers out there.

Odoo's community version is software that meets the basic needs of many businesses. It can be quickly deployed both in the cloud and on-premises via Docker.
The interface is very simple and completely uncomplicated, making it easy to learn and start using.
Odoo is an excellent platform for website development, offering great flexibility and features. However, I’ve found it quite challenging to add third-party modules to the platform. As a beginner, I explored several methods to resolve this issue and eventually discovered that Odoo.sh provides an option to manage such integrations.
I was excited to try it, but when I entered my subscription code for the $17.00/month plan to deploy my platform on Odoo.sh, I was disappointed to receive an error message stating, “The provided subscription code does not appear to be valid for Odoo.sh.”
This means I’m unable to deploy my platform or install any third-party modules, which makes it difficult to continue developing my website package — despite having already installed the Odoo app and attempted the deployment process on my desktop. - sure i will give 5 star if solved my problem
Fast and excellent reply and explanation.

Two of the best things about Odoo is its customization and its support. While you can run open source Odoo for free the support in helping you learn and how to custom Odoo is worth it for at least while you get started with Odoo. I recently was helped out by MYLI in support who went the extra mile to record a video with a suggestion after taking time to understand the business problem I was trying to solve.

Absolutely terrible. Locked out of our own business. No customer support. No answers. Unable to upgrade. Everything that was promised was misinformation. If you think you have control of your business... you don't you can be locked out at any time with zero control and no one to help you. Any one looking at risk would not tolerate that kind of risk to a business. Edit after reading review: Odoo was given a month to provide a response from either customer support and complaints as to what happened, why it happened, and what would stop a company being kicked out of their own business for a month! The response is just a "there, there and pay more money to have it on premise". WOW. There is zero care factor involved otherwise this would have been treated as a mission critical failure let alone you are trying to get new business. To potential people considering this software, seriously consider the risk to your data and whether you can function with EVERYTHING in one location to be locked out and no one to help you other than send out an email and wait for up to a week. I am sure your customers would be happy with that. Again, lucky this was a test for us so this is a warning to anyone else.

Thanks Myli for the great help. Quick anwser: It was clear what could be done in standard and what would need some further investigation.
