FRAUD liars! Took money out of my account December 2024 after I had canceled and moved on. Then on the 21st on January they claimed they had a successful refund in an account that I closed on the 15th January.. still to this day they claimed I have received the money. I went to the banks spent hours investigating.. finally got written notice that the company made an attempt to refund and the money was returned back to them. They claim the bank is wrong still do this day. They’re disgusting low life greasy fraudulent liars.

I have home and auto insurance with them and when my insurance auto renew this year they increase my home insurance by 50% even though i never made a claim. when i called they say it was because there as been a lot of claim in my area and that they couldn't offer be a better price. ( my renter insurance when from 32$ to 48$ per month). the second time i called to actually cancel the insurance the girl (apparently wasn't an agent she was only customer service) said since I'm canceling mid month, if I'm allowed a rebate then they will mail it to me. After waiting 6 days for a confirmation that my policy we're cancel, emailing them twice, i decided to call them again to get confirmation. Now the person first tell me that the policy was still not cancel yet but that ok they can date it from last week since they do have the paperwork but that it will cost me 1 month extra of canceling fee. like what??? when i told him that its not what the girl on the phone last week told me, he look at the transcrip and said i was right but is only answer was "she's not register to tell you about the canceling fee".
So she's not register to tell me that there's a canceling fee but she's allowed to lied to me and tell me i might get a rebate because I'm canceling mid month.
honesty horrible customer services and they are more expensive. stay away and for future reference, maybe I'm the only one that didn't know that but remember they will charge you 1 month canceling fee if you cancel before the end of your contract. don't believe what they say. I'm just frustrating because i try to call twice to get that information. If they would have been honest i would have know about the canceling fee and i wouldn't be as mad. i just don't like to be lies to.

they dont answer emails, when i finally got through to someone on the phone. the call took 2.5 hours to cancel the insurance on the car i sold. I was told i was getting a refund and the insurance would be removed retroactive to the day i emailed them originally and this month i was charged and no refund was issued. Awful customer service

They sold the company and have been slowly cleaning house, it is impossible to get ahold of someone. I switched to another provider and they continue to charge my credit card for a cancelled policy, they cannot provide a Letter of experience for my wife who's been on the policy for 4 years, it takes them 4 days to respond to an email. Do not make the mistake of going with this company they will mess up your policy in as many ways as they possibly can.

Agent Devam Bhatt was very helpful and efficient in confirming the quote and related documents.
Thank you

I am still waiting for a response regarding my policy.
I have tried updating my credit card on file numerous times. I have also tried calling in to speak to someone and no one answers their phone. I have been an Onlia customer for 4 years. Onlia has now told me that they will be cancelling my policy early and I cannot get a hold of anyone on the phone to rectify this situation!

Very user friendly and whole experience with customer support that I spoke with was very easy

Can't get a hold of them.
Phone calls, emails, open tickets and messages all go unanswered.
Their app does not work.
They are scammers and should be shut down.

Have always renewed June 1st of every year even making changes mid year. Had 3 cars and home on policy. You changed your corporate structure and now we have 1 policy with 1 firm renewing Mar 1st and another policy in June. What a shitshow! As soon as I find the time to bail out of this insanity I will transfer all policies to another provider. You have about 30 days to fix this, and then I start.

I have a car insurance policy, but they wouldn’t allow me to get renters insurance because I don’t have any renters insurance history…. lol useless

Broker initially sold me my insurance and sent me my documents and slips. I then recieve an email DAYS later stating there was more paperwork they needed and that actually did NOT have coverage until it was done. Would have been nice if the first person was competent enough to realize that and not send me documents stating I had insurance when I in fact did not. Terrible experience overall. Gave 2 stars because atleast I didn't have to get on the phone and talk to someone, so there's that atleast....

My policy was cancelled "for non-payment", even though my payments were still going through? I received an email notifying me of a missed payment, so I tried calling with no luck because nobody ever picks up the phone at Onlia (unless you're seeking a new quote), and I sent many emails to follow-up without a single response. I took a screenshot of the payments going through and sent those as well. My payment continued to go out as scheduled, only to receive the cancellation notice "for non-payment" 2 months later???? So anyways, I went with another insurance company who seem to have their shit together. I wouldn't recommend Onlia to anyone moving forward... God only knows how difficult it would be to reach them if you needed to actually file a claim or something. What a crazy stressful experience! 0 Stars!!! Good riddens, Onlia!

It stated with finding out that my home and car insurance was cancelled. Once I reached a representative who was AMAZING!!! did thing get settled.
I know there was a company merger and a lot of changes but this was very stressful.
I will stay with Onlia for the year in hopes that by the time I need to renew my insurance, the merger and all the issues will be resolved

When the takeover happened we heard nothing about my wife's policy, received no pink slips, no renewal and no money was charged since November, they requested new photos of the vehicle and a no loss letter, we never drove this car the whole time we were in this limbo trying to figure out what happened, eventually we just got new insurance this month and never bothered to renew with Onlia, suddenly they didn't need the pictures of the vehicle anymore and they're charging us 4 months of backpay on insurance we never actually received for 4 months, will never use Onlia again, I'd recommend you stay far away, they're probably losing all their customers because they sent themselves down into the toilet and are trying to strong arm anyone they can into paying 2 grand. Absolute scam of a company.

Extremely disappointed with Onlia. My car insurance premium more than doubled with no claims, no tickets, and no changes to my profile. This isn’t the first time they’ve drastically increased my rate without explanation. It’s completely unlivable and unjustified. I will not be renewing and cannot recommend them to anyone looking for reliable or fair insurance service.
