The biggest problem is the host founders: the service is unbearable. I've had this "Too many files opened" error for about 4 months now and I haven't heard a single thing about fixing it. I created 3 tickets in the discord and I'm not the only one with the problem. I know it's a host issue as research on the crash all leads to the host.

Edit: The host is now not a one time payment anymore. This means all of the things I pay for now I don't own anymore. Besides that, the compensation was very minor. I lost all previous recourses and lost all of my server data. (3 months of work) Very unreliable.

Besides that, the servers aren't bad at all. U can run many things and the performance under decent load is always great. It can lag sometimes due to a low amount of overall server resources on the nodes and some nodes have more downtime then others, but it's not that big of an issue. (most of the time)

The website and everything is nice and clean, easy to follow and read.

What I'd love to see is if some moderators or people should get more access to editing and changing the servers. This is because at the moment, the mods are more active then the founders. They are kind of the backbone of the host I feel.

I’ve tried to defend this host since it’s starting a while back, but it’s gotten so bad I just have to speak about it

For starters, the host has gone full premium, users using free tier were met with server downages for months before met with the news that it was now premium only

To further point out how money hungry this company is, a new refund policy came out. No refunds.

The original policy stated 12 days, however a problem with optik as well as its (now former) parent company was that any and every refund request would go seemingly ignored.

And my experience just HOSTING a server was miserable, slow, and unreliable

Go do yourself a favor and go find another host.

I Wrote that in 5/31/24. and its now got worse. Josh has now been fighting with everyone, cleaning out premium purchaces and refusing to refund them. Lies about his trust pilot score and has now started banning anyone/everyone who doesnt say hes right.

Josh is full of delusions and is repeatedly trying to get you to spend money... Please, go to any other host. itll save you a headache

Excelent hosting with good free servers and amazing one-time payment options. Especially good for hosting a minecraft server for some friends as it is open 24/7 and the customer service in their discord server is priceless. Would reccomend!

I believe this is the best hosting service I have ever purchased. The servers have excellent performance with minimal delays, and the user interface is user-friendly even for beginners. The staff is also very helpful and friendly towards customers in need of assistance.

Optikservers is a good choice for people looking to host a free minecraft server, The free plans are good for private minecraft servers with a few friends but i reccomend the payed plans for public servers as you dont get much resources in the free plan. It has a good ping rate and you dont notice lag that much on a vanilla server. If you are going to run a free server with a few friends i reccomend using 1.8 java and running viaversion to connect using the latest version.

Overall a good free host.

wasted my time.

i wasted 2 days trying to convert my server from another host to this one, managed to do it but afterwards i see that after 5 minutes of inactivity the server closes which means my server closed before it even started

Hello im a Donator at OptikServers and an Member of most SMPs of OptikServer as a User with over 2 years in OptikServers i have to say its pretty awesome but some flaws does this host have like that the Owner wont respond even after 24 Hours passed but even when they are not on Vaction the Response Time is pretty poor hope this wont affect my Usage on OptikServers but they really need to do more working on improving or just shutdown and give people the money back this is what i think everyone has their on opinion on this

Everything works except the afk app, the site is done very well, the afk app, the most useful thing is not working, when it works I will change the review

servers keep crashing and they mods are 24/7 ignoring

I have bought the premium plan and the performance and the uptime is great. The only downside is that it takes a while to get an answer on your ticket. Other than that's its pretty good!

This is a great free hosting for people who just want to run a server without having to take out their wallet and you can buy resources for coins i reccomend adding the specs of the nodes when you select to create a server like how much cores do nodes have stuff like that but the hosting is good the ad app not so much the coin reward gets diffrent based on country even tho before it was the same

This is one of the best free hosting services that I've used for the past few months for my Discord bot and recently my Lavalink server. Since their switch to Finland servers, my experience became even better as issues with the free node going down was fixed entirely and coins for upgrades can easily be earned using the AFK app on PC. Definitely would recommend.

Worst service i have ever tried if someone from their team flags this as malicious i want to speak with him personally and show him something.

This free hosting is extremely good for small projects
and really good pricing for one time payments. Shadow and Josh are really nice people, they care about the service and try to improve it. I recommend everyone to use this for their projects.

Hi i did host my stuff on optikservers and they did find my discord bot token in my discord bot config. What the owner Josh did was to take over my bot and ruen my discord server, he is going through everything that you put in there.

I did have proof and he still did not say sorry when he just could send med a dm, and not ruend my discord server

They have a coin system that don't work with the mothods they say (thay are only after money not service)

Dont host any thing there
