I have been using OVH as my VPS provider for several years now, and the results have always been good value for money.
I recently contacted them regarding upgrading my VPS, and they were very helpful and sorted it out for me without issue (ref: CS15196164).

This is my worse choice for hosting I have ever made. I am currently completely locked out of the OVHcloud Control Panel. I have forgotten my account password.
I have attempted the 'Forgot Password' workflow multiple times, but I am not receiving the recovery email, despite the system stating it has been sent. No phone number for help.

Low price & great quality
OVH considers "free email and free whois/privacy" as 2 rights when purchasing a domain name; 90% of other competitors bill you extra for those.
Their VPS pricing are also very low compared to competition and setup got easier over the year and quality is good.

Great for Individuals, but not my favorite for a Swiss company
I am using OVH for many years. Probably over 10 years now. I use it mostly for web domains.
The prices are good. For individual people that is easy and intuitive to use. And that is how I used OVH before, to keep my private domains.
But for a company based in Switzerland, doing business with OVH is really complicated in my experience. I would give a better review if they make their procedures for the required documents a bit more transparent.
I understand that not every European hosting service cares about having a Swiss VAT. But OVH is one of the bigger hosting services across Europe.
Please note that Switzerland is a bit different with its tax-procedures, so if your company is based in the EU, the service might work for you well.
While their support and Swiss tax procedures can definitely improve, my review is nonetheless positive. This is because OVH is a long-term sponsor of the "Let's Encrypt" project and helps to build a safer web affordable also to individuals and small companies.
OVH has reliable infrastructure
OVH offers reliable infrastructure and good value for the price. Their services run smoothly once everything is set up, and the performance has been consistently strong for my needs. The only drawback is that support tickets aren’t always easy to resolve—responses can take time, and sometimes you need a bit of persistence to get to the right solution. Overall, though, it’s a dependable provider with great potential if the support experience becomes more streamlined.
This is one seriously deluded company:
POV: You hire an #antifraud specialist for your business. They then ask your customers to send you images of their credit cards over the internet.
Would you be even slightly concerned about your decision to hire them?
OVHcloud aren't.
The irony isn't lost with them, when you employ an #antifraud team who ask people to put their personal data at risk.

A government-issued photo ID,
A picture of the credit card used in the transaction including, the name matching the listed name in the Manager account, AND
The last 4 digits of the card number,
A photo of yourself holding the government-issued Photo ID provided above.

Did they not get the memo that this is 2026 &there are services that deal with verification. Even if I were stupid enough to send an image of my credit card, it's a virtual one - which they should realise that virtual cards now exist - because its 2026, not 1956.
What planet are these people living on? Because it's certainly not this one...
The response to this review is a lie. The information they wanted - stated above - is directly taken from the email I received. They wanted me to send an image of my credit card to them.
If you want to sue me for defamation though - go ahead. Sue me. I’ll wait.
Update
Still no defamation lawsuit. Guess I was telling the truth after all then….

The worst hosting provider. They just steal money from you. It’s very easy to buy a VPS and pay, but then they cancel your order without any real reason and simply don’t return your money. If you try to contact them, it’s nearly impossible.

VPS suspended within 24 hours – 6 days later still no resolution, no refund, no service
I ordered a VPS from OVHcloud with the intention of deploying a web application for production use. I carefully prepared the server, followed standard security practices, used strong passwords, and deployed only a normal Next.js web app with internal API calls over TCP (HTTP/HTTPS).
Within the first 24 hours, the VPS was suddenly suspended by their anti-hack system.
What was most frustrating was not the suspension itself — I understand security checks are necessary — but what happened after that.
My original ticket was blocked with a statement that the VPS could not be restored or refunded, without any proper technical review or attempt to help resolve the issue.
After I opened a new ticket and provided:
full technical clarification
confirmation of AUP compliance
details of the application
confirmation of malware checks
agreement to follow all security recommendations
I have now been waiting 6+ days with only a single response.
During this time:
No VPS access
No restoration
No refund
No clear timeline
No real support
This means a significant portion of my paid monthly service has already been wasted while I am completely unable to use the product.
The most disappointing part is the lack of timely communication.
For a company that promotes itself as a professional cloud provider, taking nearly a week to handle a suspended service — while the customer has zero access — is simply unacceptable.
I am not running spam, VPNs, bots, scanners, or any abusive services.
This is a normal web hosting use case, and instead of being helped to resolve the situation, I have been left waiting without service or refund.
At this point, the experience feels like:
You pay for a VPS
It gets suspended immediately
You lose days of your billing cycle
Support replies extremely slowly
No compensation, no resolution
This is by far the worst VPS support experience I have had.
I hope this review encourages OVHcloud to:
provide faster response times for suspended services
offer fair billing adjustments for downtime caused by their security systems
actually help customers fix issues instead of locking the service
Right now, I cannot recommend OVHcloud to anyone who needs reliable and responsive support.

STAY AWAY!!!
Absolutely awful!! Customer service is surreal to say the least, they just don't care, not offer any solutions to very simple issues, close the chat on you, close tickets on you like they resolved everything when they just don't. Glad this happened at the very start, account creation step, so I can forget about them and just turn to an actual serious company. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SANITY!
