Pack costs, item pools, and volatility are shown up front so users can choose the kind of experience they want, whether that is a safer pack style or something higher volatility with bigger upside.

Winning a battle also does not automatically mean the round returns more than the total battle cost. That comes down to the value of the items pulled in total. There is also no different set of odds for bots versus players. A real person or bot filling in a spot does not matter at all to the outcomes.
