Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 28 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers praise the service for its efficiency, ease of booking online, and reliable delivery times, often noting that items arrived safely and as scheduled. People appreciate the good prices and the option to receive bike boxes and packing materials, which simplifies the preparation process. Reviewers frequently recommend the service for its seamless and professional approach to transporting items, especially bikes. However, some customers also noted significant issues with delivery and collection, including damaged goods, drivers leaving quickly, or not attempting collection at all. There were also complaints about unexpected charges for oversized items or rebooking, particularly for deliveries to Northern Ireland, which some felt were unfair.

Be very careful if sending wheels

Be very careful with this courier. I sent some alloy wheels and tyres with them. I wrapped the wheels in shrink wrap, covered the face of the wheel with cardboard, and wrote the address on them.

Paisley subcontracted to APC who lost two wheels for 48 hrs and delivered two on their own. The wrapping was missing entirely. When the additional two wheels did turn up, one had significant damage.

I contacted paisley who said that as I hadn’t followed their ridiculous packaging requirements to the letter (and they had ‘evidence’), they wouldn’t do a single thing about the fact the drivers hadn’t taken a jot of care of the wheels. They couldn’t care less and it was evident from other reviews that’s how they behave with everyone.

For wheels with tyres, they want them covered in bubble wrap and fully covered by cardboard, so boxed basically. Try finding 4x boxes that fit a 19” wheel and tyre for a reasonable price if at all!

Paisley know this and have written their T&Cs to avoid liability, despite the fact they advertise themselves as wheel couriers and offer fixed pricing on them.

Won’t ever use these or APC again.

LOSE YOUR PROPERTY AND DO NOTHING TO GET IT BACK

I sent a consignment of two brand new car tyres on Tuesday 5th September, next day delivery.
A week later and the tyres have still not been delivered.
To make matters worse the consignment has become separated and one of the tyres is lost somewhere in a distribution Hub in Cannock.
And finally to add insult to injury Paisley Freight have stopped all communications.
Appalling customer service.
USE THESE COWBOYS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service. They mixed up 2 boxes and then refused to rectify their mistake with me then having to pay a further £90 to put things right. They deliberately have have no phone line’s so that you cannot speak to someone in person. Very rude and defiant email responses to the valid points I raised. Absolutely never again!!!

Fair pricing, decent website, excellent customer service!

Used Paisley for posting an 18" alloy wheel with tyre. Super easy as they even have specific templates for exactly this sort of thing saving you from having to type in dimensions/weight.

The price was fair and the customer service very good.

Would use again for larger goods in the future.

Poor customer service and extra charges

Outsource collection to a local firm, who arrives, looks at a closed door and leaves with no attempt to contact the shipper. Paisley Freight then want to charge you £10 for arranging a new collection! Extremely poor and their customer service after boiled down to "tough".

I only awarded 4 stars

I only awarded 4 stars, because their initial email, said that the wheels would be collected the same day as the placing of the order. However, APC thought otherwise, and told me that they would be collected the following day. A day on which, I wouldn't be in.
Apart from that, great!

Excellent

I bought a vintage bike off ebay - and I had to arrange for collection - looked on the Internet and found Paisley Freight who were upfront with the cost for collection and delivery + box and packing £70 - after booking - I looked at all the negative reviews and I was really worried my bike wouldn't arrive in one piece!
The whole process was very smooth and the bike arrived in perfect condition.
I would suggest a bit more packing like a 1mitre length of pipe insulation that would protect the bike frame - it's only 99p a length majority of customers would be willing to pay extra! So from me I found it a great service!

horrible and careless

Used their expensive delivery service, only to get the bike late and damaged.
The front forks crushed in, rear wheel buckled. The cost of repairs and parts exceed the price paid for the bike.
Paisley won't accept responsibility because the parcel was opened later than their so called 3 day working policy. What a nightmare, will never use this company again!

Sent a bike from Nottingham to London

Sent a bike from Nottingham to London, with the buyer in London booking it with Paisley Freight. Collected on Friday morning, and tracking showed it was in their London depot 0603 on Saturday morning.
Yet, it was not delivered until the following Tuesday morning. Buyer didn't unpack and check contents till following Saturday. To discover the forks had been so badly crushed, that the front wheel wouldn't fit between them.!!
Paisley Freight weren't interested in the buyers complaint, Relying on their absurd 3 day period deadline for complaints.
The moral of all this is:
Don't send your bike so it ends up in the depot over the weekend, More chance of Damage happening.
Send it earlier in the week.

Finally, Don't use Paisley Freight, they're a Mash up of lots of Courier Companies, some good, Some Awful. They can get it right sometimes, but when it goes wrong they deny everything, and Don't bother to investigate anything.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE THEY DO NOT PAY…

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE THEY DO NOT PAY COMPENSATION WHEN THEYRE AT FAULT

Recently sent my e bike which was packaged sufficiently in an e bike box, the box arrived with a footprint on and badly damaged the bikes rear mech hanger was badly bent as was the rear mech.

The claims team kept me waiting weeks for an answer then rejected my £80 claim ( damage was more than this also)

After looking online they do this every time, prices also nearly doubled since I last used them.

DAMAGED BIKE

Paid £125 to ship a bike down south and they badly damaged paintwork I had paid an extra £59 insurance and had to buy extra bubble wrap as they only send a very small amount !!! No where near enough to wrap a wheel never mind a bike !! Today they have contacted me saying my claim is unsuccessful as the can’t see how it happened!! Even though I sent damaged box pics !!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOUR SHIPPING ANYTHING VALUABLE as the insurance is not worth the paper it’s written on

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - or make sure you read their fine print before you book and pay!

They held my parcel and demanded additional payment before they would deliver.

Their additional charges are not mentioned clearly during the checkout process.

Scam behaviour and unacceptable.

No complaints here

No complaints here. Good communication, excellent value for money. Bought a bike on eBay, Paisley Freight sent the packaging to the collection address in advance and then picked up the bike.
