Laundry App Frustrations: Clunky Navigation & Unwanted Prompts

Once a washer or dryer is selected, it’s challenging to return to the full list of available machines. The selected appliance remains on the screen, with the other machines partially listed below it. There’s no clear way to swipe the selected machine away, and it only disappears randomly, revealing the others beneath it.

Additionally, the app’s marketplace and repeated prompts to enable notifications are unnecessary and frustrating. Most users are simply looking to get their laundry done, and these features feel intrusive.

PayRange is a mobile APP! PayRange DOESN'T OWN THE MACHINE

There are many reviews of PayRange on this site and I want to ensure the people reviewing the PayRange app understand what they are reviewing. PayRange is a mobile payment app that is installed on owners machines. PayRange does not own or operate the machines. Many reviews indicate that PayRange is a horrible service because the laundry machine did not work or the price of a laundry load was too expensive. Please understand the company before you leave a review. PayRange facilatates mobile payment to a machine. PayRange DOES not control if the machine works, or the quality of the machine, nor does PayRange set the price for a machine. If you used the PayRange mobile app and it successfully sent a payment to the machine and you were able to make a transaction or start a load of laundry, then you should be quite happy with PayRange as it did what it is designed to do. Please make sure if you have issues about machines, not to take it out on the mobile payment app. In fact if the vending or laundry machine didn't work right, you wouldn't be screaming at Apple pay.

If I could give 0 stars I would this service sucks and I will make it my mission to turn what customers they have away. I'm gonna put lots of effort into making sure they are unsuccessful in making money. They have 3 complexes in which me and two friends live in aline and I'll make sure no one uses there service. Horrible customer service. Non replying to service calls and refunds and never a working dryer or washer. Clothes always soaking wet have to ring the water out to throw in a dryer that don't dry you could use the dryer 3 times and clirhes would still be wet. Shifty service don't use. Wast of money and time.

Pay Range=Scame/Ripoff

Pay Range is ridiculous. No wonder they have a 1.9 total reviews. $4 to do 1, single, UNO, load of laundry. And can you possibly make the washers any smaller?? What a damn joke this company is. They took over my apartment complex washers/dryers and just kept on raising prices. Pay Range, you also need to look into letting people upload less than $10 if that's all someone has! I had $8 to put into my pay range account and you don't allow that?? Really? You just skip options between $5 and $10 (if you have less than $10 but more than $5, you're screwed) AND charge an extra .25 for loading less then $10 into the account. Really?! Make more options because if someone has say $6 or $7.75, etc. then it should be an option. Get real. Get rid of the fees all around. People are broke these days so quit being a reason someone can't have clean clothes because they're short a damn .25 fee for only having $5 or less to their name to wash clothes!

BYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT USE PAY RANGE. They steal your money right before your eyes. I loaded $45 on to my pay range account to do laundry I had 3 loads going when I noticed my balance was being deducted. I had 3 loads for 19.50 and should have had a balance of 25.50. But by the time I left the laundry mat my money was gone. They are a bunch of crocks!

When I first got this app I had a few problems which they were quickly fixed. Now yesterday the dryer malfunctioned and my clothes were wet. I had to place in another dryer. They refuse to refund my $1.50. I'm already on a budget. Customer service states they can only give three refunds. What a hassle. Won't put another dime on this account. At least at the laundry mat less than a block from my house, will refund the money if the machine breaks. I don't recommend.

They're crooks, plain and simple.

Time and time again, they play monkey jinx with your money.
A prepaid balance/credit that should have been over $20 was noted in the app as $4.50. I started a $1.50 wash (deducted from the credit) and suddenly my balance was $1.00.
It said my balance was not enough to start the second wash and to add another $25 to start the machine. I did so and suddenly my new balance was $20. They are crooks.
I am reporting to every business bureau known and will do what I can to have them removed from the App store. They violate basic consumer protections and app-store tenets.
Anyone want to start a suit?

I received an automatic notice on my phone that $100 was deducted from my debit card. Pay range took it out automatically without my authorization. I called them immediately and they stated that they would issue a refund. I also requested a confirmation in writing. I contacted my bank, and they never initiated contact with them, therefore, I filed a dispute with my bank. They took out funds that were never authorized. I would proceed with caution regarding this company. I will be filing a complaint with the regulatory agencies in conjunction with the Better Business Bureau and The District Attorney’s consumer, environmental and protection division.

PayRange bad experience!!

I have been using this app for over three years!!! I decided to try and use the buy now pay later option!! They came back and said I didn't have the $1.50 charge in my bank!! Wrong!!! I have been battling them for 5 days!! I was told to remove my payment information, then delete my account!! I did it and it made me use a different email and put my payment info. I went to put my name and phone number and it wouldn't let me put it in, because there was another account with the same name!!! 😡
They have repeated several emails and I cannot get anywhere with them!!! I would quit this app, but I need it to do my laundry in my building!! Oh!!! And!! They sure didn't waste any time taking my debit card information!!! I never had a problem with the app until now!!! I can't wait to move!!!😠

Washer and Dryer charged and machines did not start

Today I had a washer I tried to use and was charged and was refunded money. Then when I tried using a dryer same issue and instead of putting refund back on app all that was left on app was put back in my bank account. I will no longer use this app I'm going back to using coins to do laundry.

Will not even let me sign up?

Tried to sign up with them for my coffee business. The signup process involves taking a picture of your ID front and back, and a selfie to show you are the person on the ID. The software is bad, changing the front and back camera randomly so you can't do it right. How do I take a picture of an ID with the rear facing camera? I contacted support via email, (phone support is non existent) and they say to send a utility bill and a bank statement. Yea, I will send a website I never used before my bank statement and utility bill without even talking to someone on the phone. I tried... Get better authentication software, the stuff you have is amateur.

I’m from the UK and have never used this company, however someone mistakenly used my email for their account. Upon raising this with them via email, Justin, was fabulous at resolving the issue and deactivating/removing my email from the account. Can’t speak to the company themselves but extremely happy with the efficiency and quality of their customer service!

AVOID PAY RANGE!!!

First of all, you have tp pay $1.00 for the "privilege" of using their app. I needed to use washers at a campground. I will never need this app again, but you have to load a minimum of $10 whether you need it or not. If you find that you need a few more dollars to finish your wash, there is another fee. Finally, when the machine didn't work properly and I needed a refund, I was given a coupon code by the ranger. The code was from Pay Range, which simply charged me ANOTHER $2.00. Good luck trying to contact Pay Range customer support. It is purposely unreachable.

Unethical, unresponsive, unprofessional …

My community switched commercial machines and our old Pay Range app didn’t work. We were instructed to email support at pay range for any over payment and they would send a refund. After months, they replied a check was in the mail. They never sent a refund for 17.25 and have kept over payment from several of my neighbors as well. They will not respond to calls or emails. Small amounts of money but it adds up when tip off many.
Do not use this company!!!

Watch out for SCAMS/HIDDEN FEES etc.

Since purchasing the devices, there's been one hidden fee and sneak charge after another. The sales just want to close the loop and then leave you high and dry. The support team, while much more helpful than sales, is powerless. The support documentation for trying to set it up on your own is all over the place, inconsistent and confusing. I do recommend having someone guide you through the setup if you're going to use it otherwise you'll probably get screwed in another way. I have yet to make any money, in fact, payrange thinks I owe them money(!!), even though we've had multiple users use the machines over the past week.

What's more, I had to go back and re-setup a machine because one was not working for tenants even though we did a test wash. They also told me multiple times that the free wash offer was off for new users, but it continues to be on and I am the one who is penalized for these mistakes. Would never recommend this company, there's gotta be another solution available!
