PDSA insurance is amazing, sadly my 3 year old Shih-poo had a disc disease and we had to put him to sleep. This was my first experience with a pet insurance and I was wary of the outcome but the process was so easy and so sensitively dealt with. All vet fees were paid (minus the £75 excess) together with the amount we paid for him. I now have a new fur baby and have just insured him with the PDSA. Would highly recommend to friends.

Decided to go with the PDSA after Tesco upped the price. So I have the same cover, but cheaper and hope the service is as good as Tesco's. Also I hope that using PDSA as a insurer, it boosts their coffers slightly.

We have been loyal customers for many years, but our recent experience has been shocking. PDSA is refusing to pay for our dog’s urinary incontinence treatment, finding excuse after excuse.
The situation: our vet diagnosed our dog with a urinary condition and prescribed medication. We purchased the medication online following that prescription. Despite providing full proof, including the prescription and a vet letter confirming this treatment is for the diagnosed condition, PDSA is refusing the claim, claiming it’s a separate condition or outside their timeframe.
This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. All we did was follow a vet’s prescription for a covered condition. As a result, we have cancelled our insurance and cannot recommend PDSA.

We have a great respect for the work that the PDSA do and send donations to them. They were easy to contact and setting up our pet's insurance was very straight forward. We are happy with the fair insurance quote we were given.

Already have PDSA insurance for another dog. As before, a comprehensive and seamless process to complete. Very competitive premium price. I feel quietly confident that this insurance will provide and support.

I,made a claim for my dog 11 months into my policy year. There was a bit of a delay due to requiring medical records from a previous vet. When I called they were helpful and the claim was settled quickly. Once sorted they refunded me for a part I had paid the vets for and then paid the vets directly for a surgery that was required.

I can not fault pdsa, they were helpful and patient. My claim took two months to process. Not because of pdsa, but because of the vets who did not respond to them or myself quickly. No long waits on the phone when I needed to contact them.

Policy for my dog has gone up from £116 to £160 plus in two years. No change in circumstances and no claims apart from my dog is two years older.
Contacted PDSA who as a loyal customer knocked around £10 off my annual subscription.
Looked online and took out a new policy which met all the requirements, care and suchlike as before for around £140 which was with………PDSA!! 🤷♂️
Their customer service department are who I went through and were of little help which leaves customers with no other option.

I have made several claims in the past few months as my boy Max started to have seizures. They have been 100%efficient in dealing with the claims and have paid them within 5-7working days of receiving them. I really can't fault them at all

I called PDSA pet insurance multiple times to discuss an upcoming surgery for my dog. I have never had to claim before so I had a lot of worries about how pet insurance works. The staff on the phone were extremely helpful and were more than happy to answer my queries.
The online portal is really easy to use and I received the outcome and my payment very promptly after submitting my claim.
