Horrendous

Worst thing ever, to get any type of repairs done you need to get a solicitor involved. They will not repair anything and if they, by some miracle do, you have to wait about 4 months. I'm still waiting for a bath panel from August. The flat I live in is terrible, hot water in the kitchen trickles out of the tap and apparently it's something to do with gravity LMAO I know full well it's the boiler I've got from the 17th century needs changing, no plumber can fob me off with lies. They also never answer the phone, you go through all the robot question stuff and then in mid convo with a human the phones goes dead, almost like they put the phone down on you but ofcourse, if the rents a day late, all hell breaks loose from their end. Steer clear from these babylonian demons

Waiting for a refund.

I sold a property with Platform so assumed my account had been closed off with them, however noticed two months in a row they continued to take payments (off myself and obviously off the new owner also). As soon as I noticed I managed to get the second payment back from the bank but the first month is still sat with platform. I have chased a number of times since August for my refund and every time I call and make my way through their useless automated phone system, I am put through to an Advisor who simply 'makes a note on my file' without actioning anything. Due a refund since August and still waiting with no update despite ringing weekly.

No help for the blind!!!!

My mother is registered blind and has to go through their useless automated phone system " press one if you require" press 2 if you need. They need a accessible phone line like other businesses for people with disabilities. Under equality act it's a legal requirement to make reasonable adjustments. I consider this a reasonable adjustment. Time for legal battle I think. Their customer service is shockingly appalling.

I have been waiting for an electrical repair since 23rd of August I had an appointment on the 29thof September only to be told they have to order the part I already explained to the receptionist the switch was broken so they should have bought the part with them I have lost time from work and still no light my next appointment is 4th of November the company is a joke wish I could move

Quite literally the most overpriced…

Quite literally the most overpriced accommodation I have experienced. The service here is absolutely terrible, 1 bedroom flat with a monthly electricity bill of over 100 pounds due to poor installation of the water boiler, and no comments or support from staff. Went 6 days without hot water, which is far from expected from any accommodation, let alone a very expensive one.

I do not recommend this company to anyone, I severely regret the year I have spent here. I cannot wait to leave.

Shambles!

I wouldn’t give any stars given the choice! Complete shambles, been left without heating and hot water on two occasions for 2 weeks + each time. Reported a repair back in April, still waiting…. Most windows don’t close or open, kitchen and bathroom are outdated, been in this property nearly 20 years, nothing has been updated, bathroom suite doesn’t match, quick enough to take your money but not willing to spend any money on their properties.

Platform Housing don't care about their tenants

My upstairs neighbour is a daily noise nuisance to everyone with very loud music, swearing, shouting, howling, door slamming, throwing things at windows, banging on ceilings, kicking doors, chanting, staring in people's windows, trying to break into my flat repeatedly, drunken and drug-addled behaviour. In December 2020 when I went up to ask him to stop thumping on my ceiling he spat in my face then threw hot oil from a frying pan in my left eye, blinding me. I couldn't get away quickjly enough when I saw him running at me with the frying pan as I was on two walking sticks. All Platform Housing do is tell me to write endless diaries of his behaviour - they lied to me telling me that he'd signed an Acceptable Behaviour Contract supported by the police when the police knew nothing of it! The police did however tell me he has ASBOs from other areas he has lived in. Why is he allowed to live here when he has a history of Antisocial behaviour? How long will we all have to suffer before they do their job and evict him? He is dangerous and needs to go.

Platform housing group are terrible in…

Platform housing group are terrible in every way. They do not communicate with each other or tenants with repairs. They waste your time when you are awaiting a repair bearing in mind you have booked a day off work for the repair. Then to be told not once but twice by 2 different repair men attending the property to repair the problem that they need to order parts. REALLY! What was the first intentions of the first repair man for then? Was it not to order the parts that he told me that he needed to order or was it to view the property??

Biggest waist of time !

Platform need to go they are the biggest waist of time out , they make vulnerable people suffer , they swindle money out of you , they don’t listen to you when you report a repair or are dealing with rent queries on the phone it’s a matter of passing the book , we need a housing association that can actually do an efficient job.

Poor servicev

Terrible if anything goes wrong. I carry out any repairs within my capability but twice in 5 months was unable to do so. Despite in early recovery from Covid and a pensioner I was left without heating and hot water for 8 days in January. Recently had to report a broken fluorescent kitchen light. Despite telling Platform I cannot reach up to do this repair was given a date for fixing in 2 months time. Spent two days repeatedly trying to ring and each number of times I was never above 18 in the queue. Disgusting service considering I pay full rent. Speaking to Platform workers as I come across them they confirm the service is poor and customers are unhappy. The property next to me is empty but twice a gas engineer has been sent out as he has been told by Platform that the property is occupied! Left hand/right hand scenario.

Avoid taking a home with this company if you are a disabled oap like myself!

I am a disabled oap and I have waited for a new boiler since 2016. To date This still hasn't happened. There is also wet in doors and windows which has now ruined my hallway floor and has caused mould in my windows and has caused stains on my kitchen walls and ceiling. They are worse than the council as they have forced me to live in a home that isn't even suitable for a animal to live in!

Sunken bathroom floor been told it would be replaced then wasn't they patched a new floor over the sunken floor without checking why it's fallen. I put a complaint in and was told someone would call nobody did. Then I put a recent email complaint in and then I finally got an inspector out. He didn't look at the floor he needed to remove a bath panel and didn't so how does he know what's going on underneath the bath. Today I got an email to say the flooring was our fault due to tiling when the reason the floor dropped was the bath plug seal had gone and leaked for days and I was unaware until the water made its way through the light fitting in the kitchen. I'm disgusted and I am looking to move now. I've lived on this housing estate the majority of my life I grew up a few houses down and now I want to leave as they offer no actual help. I have a bath that drops about half an inch when you step into it. A catalogue of issues that shouldve been addressed and a hole in the roof but they don't help at all. It's making me sick.

Avoid

Avoid we moved into a platform house worse thing I've ever done i had no hot water or heating for 6 weeks with a newborn baby and 2 other children nothing was done the house was riddled with mice which we didn't realise till we moved in by then it was to late as they said its not their problem . I can't decorate due to rising damp still waiting in that repair nothing done .we had to sort the problems ourselves for platform to then say I have breached my tenancy doing work on the house !!!

We were suppose to have had a repair done to our roof last Monday 25th didn't up ,I've been ringing and sending emails no response,now this morning I have had to ring the emergency line as it's leaking through ceiling on floor their service is disgusting,never met anything like as s it's causing so much distress

I have been waiting for a light to be fixed in my back room since the end of October they just keep cancelling appointments on the day I am 77 years old and have to stumble around in the dark this housing has been really bad since they took over just don't care about anyone discusted with them.

Platform housing, will my mental health ever recover from being housed by these people, they are devoid of any kind of empathy, concideration, thank god I'm not under there souless regime any more, but reckon I still owe them money, if any money is too be awarded I think I'm the one should be paid, my nightmares still continue, stay clear,! For god's sake
