Customer service appears completely absent

My Polar Vantage V2 watch started turning itself on and off at will after a couple of years of use. On August 31, 2025, I reported this issue to Polar, from whom I had purchased the watch via their online store. Today, October 2, I still haven’t heard anything, and to me their customer service appears completely absent. I recommend buying elsewhere.

Non existent customer service.

It's shame you can put a zero star rating on this company. There is absolutely no customer service whatsoever. You can't call, WhatsApp messages and emails are ignored. The battery storage system i had installed in August is not working and there's absolutely no way of getting support from this cowboy outfit. I've tried the installer but they are not much better in all honesty. It's now almost October and I wonder why I bought this system in the first place.

Questionable Repair Service Practices

Polar Repair Review

1. Polar provides a price list for battery replacement of €39.90 (each) + €15 service fee + €19 shipping fee (Polar document from June 2025).
2. I'm sending my M430 watch in for a battery replacement because after 6 years it only lasts two hours out of 8.
3. I have to send it by Colis Privé, which doesn't provide a receipt, which is a very bad practice.
4. Silence for 10 days. I have to file a complaint to get an acknowledgment of receipt from Polar.
5. My request comes back with a quote of €173—take it or leave it—for a repair of the connector, claiming that the cable is defective and that the strap needs to be replaced.
However, the connector has been difficult to use from the start (when new), being a proprietary model that is complicated and inefficient; The cable works very well, but you have to regularly use Liqui Molly electronics spray and lubricant from the beginning to make the poorly designed male and female connectors connect more easily.
The strap is perfect, and a replacement strap costs about €9 on Amazon. I even have a spare.
5. The customer's request is therefore ignored: battery replacement only.
6. The repair estimate is all the more ludicrous since the new M430 model is available on Amazon.fr for €104, only 60% of the prohibitive price of the "repair." I can therefore only refuse the estimate.
7. The customer is asked for a service fee of €19.90 and €15 for shipping to return the unrepaired device. I therefore refuse the entire quote and the watch is sent for recycling, even though it could have been repaired for around €84, according to the price list published by Polar itself.
8. It is likely that Polar is trying to get the customer to buy another of its models.
9. Given these questionable after-sales practices at Polar, I am buying a Garmin model.
10. Polar has therefore lost a customer while competition from outside Europe is intensifying.
11. Polar has also earned a negative review on Trustpilot, and I am considering contacting the General Direction for Competition, Consumer Affairs, and Fraud Control at the Ministry of Economy and Finance regarding this after-sales service.
12. Treating customers like fools is always commercially disadvantageous.

Avis sur Polar Repair

Sold me the wrong item, no human customer support.

I purchased a replacement band for my Polar watch based on Polar's own search tool that shows exact models the replacement bands are compatible with. However, the band I received is not compatible with my watch at all. The only customer support available is an AI bot that offers to "have my human buddies contact you by email," but it has been a full business week and I did not receive an email. No matter what time of day you try to chat with customer support, they are not available. No phone support, no option to email support directly. I am going to have to do a chargeback to get my money back for a product I can't use.

UPDATE: I filed the chargeback and Polar contacted me AFTER the chargeback was closed in my favor, requesting that I reverse the case and pay return shipping to return the item that they advertised as compatible with my watch, when it in fact is not.

Avoid this company, they will sell you products based on false advertising and require you to pay to return them IF you can contact the company at all. Not to mention, a 2-4 week processing time for refunds AFTER you have PAID to return the item you would never have purchased if it was accurately advertised.

Very poor customer service

I’m not surprised this service has one of the worst reviews on Trustpilot.
I’ve been a Polar user for over 11 years, owning several watches and accessories. In the past, when I had issues, support was quick and efficient — for example, replacing a battery in my watch over 10 years ago or repairing my heart rate sensor.

Unfortunately, things have changed for the worse. About three years ago, when I had an issue with my H10, a very rude representative blamed me for the problem. I tried to forget about it — until now.

I recently bought a Polar payment wristband, which stopped working after just four weeks. I contacted support and received no response. A chat agent promised someone would contact me, but no one did. At the same time, I submitted a request via the website — still no reply.

After 10 days I reached out to support again via chat. This time I was told they don’t know when it will be repaired or replaced, and that they’re “waiting for a reply” from an unspecified team. I was apologised to and told to “please be patient” — but no timeline was given.

So now I’m left with a £50 piece of plastic that’s effectively useless. I don’t believe Polar even intends to solve this issue.

With customer service like this, Polar has no chance of competing with Garmin or other sports watch brands. I’ve been a loyal customer and really like their watch concept and Polar Flow software. But with support being completely useless, if my Vantage 3 ever develops a problem, I won’t bother contacting Polar. And when it’s time for a new watch, I’ll reluctantly switch to Garmin — I’m not even a big fan, but I’ll have no choice.

Awful customer service

Polar has some great products, but they are not where they need to be in terms of getting the basics right. This applies across the board, but their customer service is awful.

I am trying to return the Polar Loop. Their help page says to use the return label. I didn't get one. I tried maybe 10 times throughout the day to speak to a human and got through twice. Unfortunately, this was the same person Aris, hours apart. They said they were not from the UK department and had no idea how to get me a return slip and was generally unhelpful. I waited and tried again, but each time I got Aris, who said he would forward me to the UK team and ultimately just ended the chat.

This company has a lot of work to do, and I certainly won't be buying products from Polar in the future.

Polar Flow Sync Stopped Working

I've used an M430 watch for a number of years without any problems. It did what I wanted it to do and that was fine. However, their latest update for Polar Flow has broken the sync between app and device. Ironically, the release notes for version 6.31.1 tell us that it's supposed to fix sync problems. Seems to me that it has introduced them. Support tell me it's a know problem and a fix is being investigated. Come on Polar, you can do better than that. How about you let users re-install the older version or you prioritise a proper fix and be quick about it. If I need to replace the watch it will certainly not be for another of your products.

Polar H10 HRM

Polar H10 HRM
Purchased about 2 years ago. Used exclusively for indoor rowing. Recommended by numerous members of group.
Started with intermittent problems within 12 months.
Eventually Polar replaced the strap FOC and this seemed to resolve problem.
A few months ago problems of pairing started again and after going through lots of suggestions by customer service I was told that my case would be referred to "higher support".
Since then I have heard nothing from customer service despite several emails asking what's going on.
I seem to have been dumped by Polar.
There is no other way of contacting them as they state that there is no customer support telephone line.
There is no customer support and Polar do not seem to care. Very disappointed.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. They do not support their older products -even expensive ones. The loop for the strap broke and the refused to even try to send me a replacement or even find a replacement for the small rubber loop, Instead they told me to go to a watch shop to fix it.

I bought a Polar Grit X for my partners…

I bought a Polar Grit X for my partners 60th Birthday. Through First Class Watches. I had to send back still with the warranty. First Class Watches kindly replaced with a new watch as Polar took for ever to respond to there have or repaired/replace. With the same amount of time the 2nd watch yet again was not working. The same problem the battery does not last more than 28 hrs before needing re charging. I contacted Polar but was met with no answer at all for a repair. Kindly once an again First Class Watches liaised on my behalf. And there response to them has been nothing more short of a disgrace. POLAR has refused a replacement or repair as they said the warranty is on the 1st watch not the replacement (That first class watches gave me) Not POLAR is over 2 years. I would not recommend Any One BUY a POLAR watch. Don’t waste your money or time with this company. They take your money don’t contact you when they do they are rude with there responses and flatly refuse any repair or replacement. Though First class watches I would like to thank as they have done everything negotiate with POLAR unsuccessfully. But have kindly offered me a discount to purchase a new POLAR or another watch form the collection. I will accept there offer but definitely won’t be a POLAR WATCH. As it’s Garbage

No UK support????

So the grand announcement at the start of September 2025. A bracelet which has no screen, epic developments..... (not)

How about setting up UK support? which you once had!!!

A few months back I damaged my watch screen and thought right time for a new one so decided to use my old Polar Grit for the time being while I made my mind up what to get. However the battery seemed to be discharging a lot quicker then before so I reached out to Polar to discover oh the UK is no longer supported. Ok what are my options 'have you tried reseting this'

At this point I thought ok for my next watch do I really want to pay £400 - £500+ for a watch that cannot be supported?

Luckily I didn't jump at buying the Gritx2 Pro which would of been a costly mistake.

I really liked the accuracy of the Polar watches but the displays seem a tad dated and when I started to look at the market there are some really good options out there and dare I say cheaper oh and supported in the UK.

Sorry to say but Polar has lost another customer after many years.

10 year old Polar was better than this…

10 year old Polar was better than this latest junk. 2 years old, watch no longer maintains pairing with H10 strap, even with a new strap battery, which it chews through after about 10 workouts. Rubbish. All you high and mighty experts that rate this disposable hardware so highly must be getting a nice packet of $$$. No other explanation.
Now to find something that actually works.

Constant faults

Hi, After experiencing problems with my polar grit X pro titanium that was nearly £500 turning off and on several times a day and resetting data, plus saying no devices found near by just 2 months out of warranty I was offered a money off voucher to buy another watch from polar. Awful customer service and will definitely not but from them again. The watches don't seem to be up to the every day to day life.

I have owned two polar ignites over…

I have owned two polar ignites over last 3 years. Shelf life is only 1-2 years. For both watches the watch brand broke at least one time and for both the touch screens quit working after about 1 year. Customer service is horrible - impossible to get hold of or get a response. Terrible customer service experience. There is obviously a reason why they don’t list reviews on their website.
