What a shambles of a firm don’t reply to emails when you want to return items do not buy anything from this rabble

A sure fire indicator of a dodgy online store...look at their facebook page comments section. If the counter shows a number, but no comments appear, its because they have deleted all the negative comments.
Social media providers need to do more to stop these operators from using online portals. The fact that they exist, in large numbers is evidence of the lack of action.

Marketed under the name Julian Porter on Instagram and giving the impression of an up-market London outfitter, these men's shirts looked classy and of good quality. The one I ordered was anything but unfortunately!
Firstly it took 3 weeks for the package to arrive. Secondly the shirt was nothing like the pattern and color I selected. No label with washing/care instructions, varying length of the sleeve measurements(not complying with their online size chart), and what looked like guide lines visible in the material to help the person stitching.
The company (Overlane) I complained to were quick to respond and very polite but tried to fob me off with more offers. I was also informed that I would be charged exorbitant postal costs for returning the item.
I have since contacted my credit card provider to cancel the transaction using the 14-day consumer rights ruling. I have also informed to manufacturer that the shirt is packaged up awaiting collection at their expense.
Not a good experience. Avoid!

This Julian Porter company has a contact address in Hong Kong and is therefore not British as claimed on their adverts. There are also close similarities with the adverts and website of Oliver James Tailors (which definitely is a scam outfit). Looks like a criminal enterprise operating using a number of different aliases some of which may be impersonations of genuine reputable online sellers.

placed an order on line, 18th may 2025 was told i would receive the goods in 2 days, FOC, 20th may 2025 3 days 21st may 2025 later i checked my bank statement and my money ended up with a company called SP Comfy Family Albuquerque NM

wish I had read this before ording. colours wrong quality shocking..almost see through they are so thin. style so very different to pictures and sizes not accurate. applied for a refund.

SCAM!!! Not even London based as they suggest, they are in China. The shirt I ordered was thrown together, not fit to wear and the cardigan was appalling quality. They arrived late. I asked for a returns slip and they said I had to pay to have them shipped back which would cost me over £30. I was also offered a deal that if I paid another £9.50 per item they would send me others or 20% refund. Disappointed by the offer and stressed with the continuous emails I decided to close this matter with the refund offered. They have not sent it and are not returning any emails now!!! Like others have said, always do your research first. I will be putting this review in as many places as possible.

1 star is a bit too good for these lot! Total con as everyone else is saying. Don’t purchase from these guys. Just a front for importing really cheap poor quality clothes from China. Some obscure place in China is given as the return location. They try every trick in book to avoid a simple return process. I got a full refund by setting my credit card company on them, literally full refund in 24 hrs so they obviously crumbled. This is what I did…play nice, stay courteous, do what they ask (stay patient), challenge the return location as not made clear on website that it’d be China, in an email clearly state that you are ‘making the goods available for them to collect’…that exact wording as it’s important legally. Give it 15 days (they won’t collect) and then report to your credit card company (don’t buy with debit card!!!)…leave them to work their magic. You’ll need to send all email correspondence to your CC company…I’d keep all comms on one thread for ease. Highlight this trustpilot group to your CC company too….adds weight to your case.

Ordered a substantial autum jacket. Received a cheap shoddy hoody.
Theircresponse: buy more from us for a specially discounted price or return the purchase to some obscure warehouse in China...at my own expense.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Very very poor quality clothing arrived after three weeks after order so missed the event I needed it for and needed returning. After all sorts of attempts to prevent me from returning the item I was advised the item had to be returned at MY expense to China. UTTER SCAM

SCAM alert!!!!!! Order never arrived. Nightmare scammers, how do these people keep getting away with it. Shame on you tic tok, why are they allowed to be on your site, for shame

The blouse I ordered was really poor quality velvet. Pocket was sewn on wonky and material around it was gathered. Collar was uneven and distance between buttons was different to the spacing of the holes. Sleeves were also a different length. Basically not something I would ever wear. Returns have to be sent tracked to China! Never again

I ordered 2 items of clothing from Porter-London. Nowhere on their website does it state that the clothes are manufactured in China or even that the company is Chinese. Returns have to be sent to their warehouse in China. The clothes were too big and I wanted to return them as their offer of a 30% refund was not useful. I returned the items using Evri tracking and waited. The tracking code eventually stated that the package was stuck in customs in China. I waited for 2 weeks. Checked with customer service who were not helpful and just said I should check with the carrier. The Evri tracking number sent me to a Dutch website Post NL Track n Trace with a different tracking number. I finally managed to find a Chinese website where I could check incoming goods with the Post NL Tracking Number. They are called chinapostaltracking com. The message here stated "waiting for users to pay taxes". You will need to use google translate as this is all in Chinese. I waited one more week, then emailed Porter-London customer service again to ask them to tell their warehouse in China to pay the import tax so that they could receive the package and I could get my refund. One week later I got my money back. Success, but this took one month. Be persistent and you can receive your refund. Better still, do not order from this company.

Customer service were helpful to start but Slowly they unravelled.
I ordered 2 items. They had the money from my account. Then they said 1 never existed. Then the 2 finally arrived together.
And the colour of 1 was so far from the advert.
I cannot bring myself to say more or return the item.
They are so time consuming.

Do NOT order from this company. Ordered Arron hand crafter Premium Leather boots from Porter London through a Facebook advert. When I opened package it smelt of plastic! Boots are certainly not leather. Even had a sticker on sole showing made with man made fibre! I emailed company advising I wanted to return the boots for full refund, stating that they contravened the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and also highlighting that distance consumers have 14 days to cancel an order from the date goods are received. They offered a partial discount of 25%if I kept them. I could sent them back to their warehouse for a full refund but I would have to pay tracked postage, which would have been ok had it been to London, but no their address is in CHINA! A further offer of partial refund of 30% was made to me, they said I could keep or gift the boots! I then escalated my complaint to PayPal Resolution Centre ( so glad I paid by PayPal) and they have closed the case in my favour and it only took 6days. Do not order if you want your goods to arrive in a week. Trying to cancel order as good still not despatched 8 days later.
