The Worst Postal Company I've Experienced: PostNL
I wish I could give zero star. I've experienced the horrible services of PostNL only too many times, losing packages, damaged packages, delivering to the wrong addresses... They have all sorts of ways to screw up and never run out of negative surprises to shock you, one after another. I'd sugguest to avoid them at all costs and use other companies instead. DHL is way better.
The worst carrier ever seen
The worst carrier ever seen: for the first week they were constantly saying "Delivery today" or "Delivery tomorrow" that were clearly impossible estimations, as the package was still in Netherland.
Now that after 1 week (!!!) it seems it's finally arrived in Italy, the estimated delivery date "is being calculated", but it's been in this status already for 3 days ...
Paid for tracking, that only works in NL
And since that is not where I live, I wouldn't really call it tracking. PostNL is the only company I know of that somehow loses track of parcels once they leave the origin country. Furthermore, since PostNL doesn't have the parcel anymore the tracking is just updated to "Time of delivery: today" forever until the parcel arrives 5 workdays later. I don't mind waiting 8 days for a delivery, just be honest and precise about it from the beginning instead of all the lies and incompetence.
Mail forwarding service is a scam
I paid 45 Euros for mail forwarding service, however my mail still going to my old address, and they said we can't change that as that is the destination of the mail!
That is what forwarding mean, you take it from the original destination to a new destination, why would I do this service otherwise!
I would choose Cancer over Post NL
Paid nearly 30 euros to send a package internationally to my girlfriend which was supposed to arrive in MAXIMUM 10 days. No news for about a month, after that the package was sent back to me with cause "wrong address" (spoiler: the address is indeed right).
Aftermath:
•30 euros lost
•1 girlfriend lost
(I created created an account just to say how bad Post NL is)
Horrible experience
Horrible experience, the support just ended the chat without answering my questions. The package is missing they cant provide any valuable information.
Lazy service, just utterly disappointing
PostNL postal services have been getting worse and worse by the day. It does not matter how much you pay for express shipping or next day delivery, PostNL will not deliver. Lately I have been waiting for a couple of packages that were being handled by them, for which I stayed in the house during the entire day that my packages were supposed to arrive but the drivers never drop by, my doorbell never rang, not once, they will always deliver the packages straight to the pick-up point without even attempting delivery to your address even though this is what you originally paid for and what the e-mail they first sent you stated. That is a very lazy job on its employees or corporate which are very likely not supervising whether their services are being properly executed by their customers. Besides never even bothering to check whenever a delivery option or date has been updated/ changed by the customer, they will just deliver whenever they feel like it. In conclusion, huge sigh of disgruntlement every time I learn that my packages are being delivered via PostNL. Which unfortunately is not always a matter of choice.
Arnhem to Lincoln in 3 days
It's impossible not to notice the massive amounts of negative reviews for Royal Post NL on here, hence I decided I had to have my quid's worth and give them a positive review because for me they've been first class as far as I'm concerned.
I bought a couple of items from an Etsy seller in the Netherlands last week which shipped from Arnhem on Monday the 14th. Fast forward 3 days and the Royal Mail(Post NL's delivery partner here in the UK) are delivering the parcel to our house in rural Lincolnshire around lunchtime on Thursday the 17th.
That is an excellent service in anyone's book so a massive thank you to Royal Post NL and to the Royal Mail, 5 stars all the way!
Drivers dont ring bells or call
Told me to be sure not to miss the delivery as the parcel was very heavy. They procced to NOT ring my home and NOT call my number and then i get an email saying i had to pick up a 20 kilo box from a pickup point and i have no car. Called customer service and they said they cant do anything i just have to pick it up myself. amazing.
Post Nl: just pray for good outcome
If you order online outside Europe, just pray for a good outcome. Or light some candles. With Post Nl that is all you can do. Other options give you high bloodpressure and no solutions!
They forgot to send me a request for paying tax. Now the parcel is back to Customs and will be treated as if I refused to pay tax. So it will go back to sender abroad.
Tracking system does not track anything and parcels are missing
Was expected to receive my parcel on Thursday, based on Post NL tracking system...yet, no one showed up. So I received a notification for delivery on Friday, but no one showed up, and the delivery was again rescheduled with no explanation. Now it's Tuesday, and still nothing at sight: in the meantime I have learnt from the merchant that one of the two parcels I was expecting was sent back to them by PostNL. The other parcel is...well, who knows.
This is not a service, it's a joke!
Extremely incompetent
Extremely incompetent. It happens so frequently that they fail to deliver a package to their OWN PICKUP point!
It happened twice within a week that, they delivered a package not to the pickup point that I chose, but a pickup point VERY FAR AWAY (which needs an hour to commute, let alone extra costs).
It happened once within the same week that, after failure to deliver to a pickup point, they delivered it to a random address (not a pickup point).
Their delivery is totally messy (I have never experienced the same thing in France at La Poste in roughly a decade), and unfortunately, there is no way to avoid them.
Criminal dishonesty and incompetence.
Awful
Awful, customer-hostile company that is completely out of touch. Very quick at charging you 6 Euros handling fee for a duty value of less than 1 Euro, after which whether the delivery happens is a roll of the die, ie some times you get the package, some times you don't. You end up paying Post NL for something that is never delivered. It's a good business model. but it screws its constituents.
What a joke of a service
There was not even an attempt at delivering the package to me. I just got a message saying that they were sorry to have missed me and that my package was at another house number. I work from home and there doorbell didn't ring once. What a joke of a service.
I have not dealt with anything worse I have not dealt with anything worse than this company. I shipped with them more than a month and a half ago, and they say the minimum shipment is 10 days. On top
I have not dealt with anything worse than this company. I shipped with them more than a month and a half ago, and they say the minimum shipment is 10 days. On top of insuring my box, I paid additional money, but they are so negligent that they don't even know anything about my items. I hope you close your company because you don't know the value of things. I'm upset. It is very important that I ask you anything even now and I am telling everyone about your mismanagement.
Dreadful service
Dreadful service. It's now at the point where it's less than 50/50 that a "delivered" notification is actually true. MAYBE it'll show up the next day, often not. I've lost 3 packages in the last month already and customer "service" (a JOKE) can do nothing other than say "wait". Horribly unreliable company. Avoid if at all possible.
At least 4 packages lost in one month
At least 4 packages lost in one month. PostNL apparently dumps all packages from private senders at the local store without notifying me. I found another package at the store after a friend asked me if I received something, and I went looking myself. I assume the same thing happened to the remaining packages. Four other friends sent packages that never arrived, and these are only the ones I know of. Am I supposed to regularly ask my local post collection spot in the off chance that they have a package for me? PostNL is completely unreliable.
Stupid delivery progress
Stupid delivery progress. Chose delivering to home address, wait a whole day at home as received an email that it will be delivered at home. Deliverer didn’t ring the bell even once but changed the status to “unsuccessful delivery” on the last minute of waiting. Now it will be sent to postnl outlet instead. Ridiculous, I want it sent to my home - that is what I asked and paid for, and now it is automatically sent to another postnl outlet which I have to go and pick it up myself. No communication or ask for permission to change the delivery address. So unprofessional. Will never use this stupid platform anymore. Please avoid at all cost if you don’t want to waste your time
