We engaged PQAL for ISO 27001 recertification and initial ISO 9001 certification, and the whole process was handled well from first enquiry through to certificate issue.
What stood out most was the transparency. When I queried how the audit duration had been calculated, Chris Byrom came back with a full breakdown of the base days, the effective personnel figure and the integration reduction applied, along with the reasoning behind each. He also explained where he could and couldn't move, which I found more useful than simply being given a number. Where we asked for changes to the certificate scope wording, we got a considered response rather than a rubber stamp — some points were accommodated, others were not, and in each case we were told why.
Emma Horder and Hafza Rasheed handled the contract administration quickly and accurately, and the audits themselves ran to schedule with an assessor who was professional and well prepared throughout. Certificates followed promptly.
