Shame on you Prada - Thievery at it's finest

My spouse gave me a gift card for my last birthday for $1k and have been saving up to top up that card so I can purchase something special - not every day I can shop at Prada! Today I got a call from Prada stating that my gift card was expiring and if I don't use it within the week, I would not be able to use it at all. How are retailers allowed to do this? You already have the money - why does it matter how long it takes me to use it? if anything I am screwing myself since you just raise prices on your products every year so my $1,000 is probably only worth $900 now (if I am lucky). The sales person was so rude and condescending I felt obliged to leave this review. Shame on you Prada and any other retailer who subscribes to this practice. So now instead of spending the additional funds to get something I was saving up for I will need to settle for something that does not exceed the GC......and how crazy it that? I have to 'settle' for something that costs $1,000....ridiculous. Shame on you Prada

Their customer service is terrible

Their customer service is terrible. Better make sure everything is perfect or you will be stuck with a very expensive item that you can't return or even exchange. I tried online chat and also spoke to 2 different people and they give cookie cutter robotic answers. They could care less that I've spent tens of thousands of dollars with Prada. I've been very well taken care of at every other luxury brand store where I also shop such as Bottega Veneta, Brunello Cucinelli and Loewe. They all have amazing customer service and one you would expect at this level. I will take my business elsewhere.

DO NOT buy ANYTHING PRADA. My daughter ordered shoes for her wedding that cost $1200. When they arrived they had NO tag on them and she thought it looked like they'd been returned. She was still excited to get them. She tried them on and walked FOUR steps and they were too big. She shipped them back and ordered 2 sizes (half) smaller. They sent the right size WITH a tag on them and then a few days later sent the original pair BACK to her stating that "they had been worn" and subsequently charged my card another $1200. I will make it my lifes mission to STOP ANYONE dealing with such a SHADY, LYING, RIP OFF company.

Possibly the worst retailer in the…

Possibly the worst retailer in the world.

Having purchased a bracelet from Prada in Switzerland, I found that it was faulty and contacted Prada to repair it. In a nutshell, they have not repaired it, they have not offered a replacement and now, after agreeing to pay me a refund over 2 weeks ago, I still do not have it.

In addition, I have had to chase them repeatedly and also I had to pay the postage and packaging for the return.

I am left with no choice but to bring legal proceedings against them!

I ordered a pair of shoes from a store in another state that was delivered to me. I returned them to a store in my state and the sales woman told me I would receive an email for my return. NEVER LEAVE WITHOUT A RECEIPT THEYRE LIARS!!!!!! Imagine I didn’t check my credit card I have been calling them for two months trying to get my money back this is ridiculous! The manager at the store originally said oh don’t worry we will figure this out then said sorry I asked my staff no one remembers I told her to please look for the shoes or check the cameras since then no one has helped they say they looked but because I don’t remember the exact date and time they don’t want to look I am so shocked how a big business can operate this way! And now they say we always give a receipt when the girl at the store said you will get an email for your return I hate them I hate them!!!!!!!!!

Prada Barcelona

I have been a Prada customer for years and have shopped in many Prada stores around the world where my experience has always been excellent. EXCEPT for the Barcelona store that has terrible service. They are not helpful at all. Will not even bother to find out if an item can be ordered. Sales women are very unfriendly. So disappointed... AGAIN as this is not the first time I get bad service. SO, maybe they have instructions....????

I ordered a new handbag for my wife

I ordered a new handbag for my wife. When she opened it, there were ink marks inside the handbag. The customer service emailed and text and gave me 24 hours to return the back in order to get replacement. I was traveling out of town was unable to do it in their time slot, I think it’s ridiculous for what you spend on these handbags and get something that has ink in it or otherwise has been used.

Very satisfied with Client Service and Jolanda from Amsterdam

My favorite bag is the Galleria bag.I bought online several bags with cardholders. Delivery was very fast. The bags came from all over Europe. The day after ordering I received them.

Jolanda, a sales lady from Amsterdam, helped me a few times with returns and delivery's. My contact with the Client Service Department is great. Their response is fast and helpful.

Defective white saffiano leather handbag

I purchased a white Saffiano leather handbag from Prada at the outlet store in Montevarchi Tuscany in July 2023 whilst on holidays.

I carefully stored the handbag and in October 2023 I took the bag out of the dust bag for the first time to use it. To my utmost shock, the white leather on the front and back was now a shade of yellow, the sides and bottom were the original white colour.

I called Prada in Melbourne, they told me that I would have to take the bag to them for photographing and that they would contact their head office - which I did. They assured me that they had never seen this sort of discolouration before. (I now know this to be rubbish based on other reviews that I have seen!)

I requested that they find a replacement bag for me - they claim that they were unable to find one. They had very similar ones in their store but they never offered to replace the defective one.

After a very long and painful process taking several months, they agreed to give me my money back for the defective bag. This took well over a month and when they did transfer the money, they short paid me and blamed it on the bank fees - which was their responsibility to cover.

I will never purchase a Prada product again. I would recommend choosing another brand.

Don't Do It

I've ordered products over the Internet from every recognized fashion house without any problems at all. That includes one order from Prada that went well. The second order from Prada did not go well.

Now, delivery should've taken a few days but nothing got delivered. In fact, I got an e-mail saying it had shipped but I did not get a tracking number, and neither was there a tracking link on their order under my customer account, as opposed to how it was on my earlier successful order with Prada, so I contact customer support and an anonymous representative said the appropriate department has been notified and will get in touch with me as soon as possible.

Appropriate department and as soon as possible was the message repeated to me by the anonymous contact at Prada every week I requested a status update. Need I say appropriate department never got in touch? No status updates. No explanations. Just a thank you for your patience and wait for the appropriate department to solve it. After some two weeks, I say we need to resolve this and I need either the product or a refund. Radio silence for one more week. That's until I use the customer contact form and request a contact person with a name, stating I hope our two parties can come to a resolution without involving third parties, where we do either you send the product or issue a refund. A day later the refund was issued to me.

1 star to Prada for executing the refund on the same day it was issued. In actuality, Prada should be banned from operating a commercial website.

Prada - stolen money and shameful customer services.

I ordered perfume direct from Prada 5 weeks ago. DHL say they have attempted delivery but no one has been home and that they have not been able to reach me on the phone. This is untrue as I’ve had no missed calls or voicemails and each time they say they have attempted delivery, I have new home.

My experience with the Prada customer services has been astonishing, dishonest and unhelpful. They say they will get back to me but never do. I have asked for a refund but they refuse to until the parcel is returned to them but DHL confirm that they have never delivered it to me.

Prada appears to have stolen my money. I paid for goods which they have failed to deliver big are retaining my money. The customer services rep has a script she won’t deviate from and won’t pass me on to anyone who can give me answers. As it stands, Prada have effectively stolen from me.

Nothing special

I recently purchased a Prada handbag, and while it has some great qualities, it didn't fully meet my expectations. The design is undoubtedly stylish and sophisticated, which is what you would expect from Prada. However, the quality of the materials and craftsmanship left something to be desired.

For a luxury brand, I was expecting more. The stitching was not as precise as I had hoped, and the materials felt less premium than anticipated. It’s still a decent handbag, but considering the price, I expected better quality. I'd rate it a 3 out of 5.

On a positive note, the customer service was responsive and helpful, and the shipping was fast. Overall, it's an okay purchase, but I think there are other brands out there that offer better value for the money.

I phoned customer services to find an item to buy that was out of stock online and within an hour they had found me the item, a sales adviser contacted me from their Bond st store and after paying online they had posted it to me that same day. Incredible customer service experience.

Very Disappointing Experience

Ordered a pair of shoes direct from the Prada website. They arrived faulty. When contacting customer service they didn't answer my questions directly. Answers seemed very robotic. Not willing to work with me on a solution. I had to send follow up emails due to the lack of replies. No offer of compensation. Won't order again given the cost. It's a shame the service is this bad on such a high value product. At each point it seemed hollow, nobody actually cares once they have your money.

Disappointment and Condescension

My husband let me choose a Prada bag for our 20th Anniversary (2021) because it had been my wish for decades. I had always wanted something Prada. It is a beautiful top-handled satchel in black saffiano leather w/silver accents. Because of it's special status, I only used it occasionally and when not in use, I sat it on the counter of our butler pantry. In early 2023 the back began to collapse on one bottom corner and I was despondent, but I knew "magical" Prada would help. The Chicago store is not convenient for us to get to, but my husband and I made it there early this year (2024). What a godawful disappointment. All employees were on their phones and ignored us completely. After a long while, one of them came over, acting as if it was an inconvenience to "help" us. We showed them the bag and explained it was lightly used; thinking that, like other luxury brands, they would fix and apologize. The employee looked at the bag and arrogantly and condescendingly told us it was stored incorrectly which cased the cave-in and also that any warranty on it had expired. So we were told it could NOT be fixed and that the collapse of the corner would happen over time anyway. My husband looked around and asked, "so all these bags in your store are going to collapse at some time?" The employee doubled down and said "yes" and that they wouldn't repair it. No apology and no sympathy, (BTW the other 4 employees were still on their phones throughout this exchange) it was like dealing with a robot--an arrogant robot. We left and I called someone in Prada Corporate to discuss. Again, no apology, no offer to fix and no helpfulness at all. He was pompous and clearly didn't care. So I have a bag I don't use. I'm shocked at Prada's cavalier attitude. Avoid them at all costs.

Went to the Sydney store today and was…

Went to the Sydney store today and was greeted by a security guard at the door. We were advised we need to line up and wait for someone to be available for us.
After 5 minutes of waiting we had enough of feeling we were lining up for a niteclub 20 years ago and left.
Next door was Gucci.
We were greeted at the door and guided to the wait seats until someone was available.
In 15mins I had a new pair of shoes. Prada lost the sale.
