I'm giving this a three, because I really appreciate the communication I had from customer service and the fact that they worked with me to see if this was in fact the right company for me to receive prepared meals from.
Unfortunately the answer to that is no.
I have long covid and it has affected by ability to prepare meals for myself regularly.
I am a former restaurant owner and I have probably cooked every meal my family's eating from scratch their whole lives with the exception of the occasion excursion into fast food land.
Food quality is really important to me.
It was very obvious after three boxes of 12 meals each (so that's two meals a day for 6 days) that a lot of ingredients in these meals are processed food or frozen and reconstituted. I found the food quality to be inconsistent and to be honest, the descriptions of the meals, flavors etc did not actually match my experience of them.
I felt that the food prep was sloppy just in the way that things were prepared and thrown into the containers they were heavy on sugar in my opinion and for the price that they would cost a piece if I were not getting a discount absolutely not worth the amount of money I would spend on them.
I really wanted this to work I have used them before and I enjoyed their food this was several years back and I see a distinct difference in the quality of the food and the recipes themselves.
And while it's true I may have a more sensitive palette than some this doesn't even measure up to ready meals I can buy on my grocery store ,in my opinion.
Out of all of the meals that I tried and I tried a wide variety I only found three or four that I actually really enjoyed and then fortunately some of those meals when I repeated them didn't have the same amount of food and they didn't taste the same.
I have done research I think I need to change to a food delivery service that cares a little bit more about the quality of the ingredients and the freshness of the ingredients on the meals I buy from them..

I've been on Prep Kitchen for about a month now - I love it. The food choices are great, it's so much more convenient time wise, they're good for you and they taste good! I never have the awful decision of what to make for dinner. The apps good to navigate. Sam from their customer service team called me today - such a lovely lady. Really attentive and professional. Real asset to the team :) thanks Sam

I’ve tried a few healthy meal delivery companies but Prep Kitchen is one I’ll definitely stick with! The meals are delicious and the customer service has been excellent, thank you to Paul! The app is also really easy to use and manage the upcoming deliveries

Great meal selection and very easy to plan meals weeks ahead . I have had a few calls from prep kitchen that I have missed but when I did answer Paul was only calling to check everything is ok with my meals . I thought customer service was non existent in this current climate but it just shows this is a company who care about their product and service.

In my first week with PK, I’ve tried six different meals. Some were wonderfully balanced, while a couple were a bit too salty. Overall, this service has amazing potential, and I’m definitely going to stick with it! I don’t know if this is an error on prep kitchen or DPD!
I ordered a box for the first time, I’m a teacher so first week back I wanted 5 easy meals to eat to save some time.
My first box was delivered somewhere that wasn’t my house! Prep kitchen apologised and agreed to send me a replacement box, which was fantastic as I would get my meals still for the school week. I’ve been in touch as no meals appeared and they’ve told me the replacement box was sent back to them. I’m confused as DPD have never sent me the email to say the new box was out for delivery. I’ve been told to order another weeks box and they’ll add in extras, as lovely a gesture that is, I don’t know if I have to pay for another box to get this, after paying for the first one over never recieved. I just wanted something easy for the first week back and I feel it’s taken more of my time, and my shopping money for the week has been spent on a box that never arrived!

Prep Kitchen has been fantastic. The food is always fresh, delicious and delivered on time every week. I’m really happy with the service. Big thanks to Farsia for everything — highly recommended!

The quality of the food has been excellent. I’ve really enjoyed every meal so far, and the service has saved me a lot of time and effort. The customer service team is also incredibly friendly and helpful.

I’ve been ordering from Prep Kitchen for around four weeks now, and I’m genuinely very happy with my experience so far.

The food is tasty, fresh and there’s a really good variety of meals to choose from. I particularly like that there are so many different options, so it’s easy to find something that suits your taste and you don’t feel like you’re eating the same thing all the time. The portions are good, the meals are convenient, and it makes eating well so much easier when you have a busy schedule.

I also recently had a phone call with Paul from Prep Kitchen, and I wanted to mention how positive that experience was. He was such a friendly and genuine person to speak to and clearly very interested in what he does. You can really tell when someone cares about their work and the customers they speak to, and that was definitely the impression I got from Paul. It made the company feel much more personal rather than simply being another food delivery service.

After four weeks of ordering, I’m very glad I decided to give Prep Kitchen a try. Good food, plenty of choice, convenient service and, most importantly, people behind the company who genuinely seem to care about their customers.

Definitely happy to continue ordering from them and would happily recommend Prep Kitchen to others! 😊

Lovely privately run business with tasty food - Michelle was fantastic when I needed some help with my subscription!

I subscribed to PK to have more visibility and control over my general consumption. I can track what I eat very easily, and because there’s food waiting for me when I get home - I order less take out (which saves more than I spend on Pk). So far it’s been really helpful, they even reached out after a month to ‘check-in’ and ask about my experience, which was a nice touch. I spoke to Sam who was really lovely 👍🏽

I was reccomended prepkitchen as a tool I could use to live more independently! I have sensory challenges around cooking/going to the supermarket. I was becoming underweight and started to only eat the same basic things. Prepkitchen is genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever been reccomended, having my dinners there ready to go has made me able to have more energy at work, and find time to exercise! I’m living a much more balanced life, and the food tastes great considering how many veggies they hide in there. I was surprised to discover prepkitchen has made me like sweet potato again. I spoke to Farsia on the phone as they rang to check I was okay after cancelling a few deliveries, after explaining it was because money was a bit tight at the moment, she said she would put a discount code on for those weeks. I felt really valued as a customer. If you are someone who struggles with the sensory experience of cooking I would definitely recommend prepkitchen!

Lovely food of excellent quality, unfortunately the meals were to spicy for my palate. Excellent customer service when cancelling my subscription.

Best prepared meals out there always fresh and different variety’s each week never get bored of what your getting so much to choose from would highly recommend

I am unable to cancel my subscription . I want to because I have received two meals that I would never have ordered owing to the fact that they have gluten in them and I have coeliac disease

Great food, farsia is really nice and amazing support

Complete meals which provide my protein, fat, carbohydrates daily needs, and at the same time contain moderate amounts of fibre.

For Omnivores, there are multiple choices for meals, but unfortunately the choices are limited for vegans.

Customer service is very good.

Delivery service is very good too ! always in time, and follow the instructions.

I've dealt with both Michelle and Rebecca for separate things now and I cannot fault their customer service. They have responded very quickly, always made sure to resolve anything and checked in on future orders. Very satisfied with my experience with Prep Kitchen so far and will continue to order from them. Amazing quality of food.
