Sanity protected!
Right from the start, the staff were polite, informed and easy to talk to. We were asking about life cover and as we are around 60, we knew it would be a lengthy process. They kept us informed regularly, either by telephone or text, and confirmed by phone when the process had been successfully completed. I'm not sure, but I think they were proactive in chasing up medical reports from the GP. It was much quicker than the last time we applied.
Would recommend them to anyone. We have increased our mortgage considerably, but our payments have only increased by £10 a month. ( should have used them last time!)

I was told that my policy would cost me £8.36 a month after disclosing that i was a smoker and had a medical problem.
After spending 27 minutes on the phone filling in a question air , I was then told my insurance would be over £16 per month. NOT A HAPPY BUNNIE

Firstly can I apologise for any frustration we have caused you; the last thing I want is to provide anything other than an excellent service to our customers.
The first price that we give our customers is always an initial quote based on age and smoking status. We then pass our customers to our experienced Insurance Specialists who run through the health and lifestyle questions, and generate the exact quote provided directly from the insurer website.
It is incredibly important with life insurance that our customers answer all of the lifestyle and medical questions correctly, as failure to do so could mean that the policy might not pay out. We take our role in this very seriously and as such, have chosen a process which means we do check off with every customer to make sure that they have answered all the questions correctly. After this, an exact quote is given based on your answers.
Unfortunately, in your case the premium did increase; however, we do believe it is our moral responsibility to ensure our customers can afford their premiums. Therefore, we tried our utmost to bring down the premiums to fit within your budget.

Excellent from start to finish.
Although the initial phone call was unexpected it didn't turn out to be unwelcome. I had the same point of contact with Protected from start to finish. Darren is polite, friendly courteous and punctual. I had to reschedule the call a couple of times which was never a problem and Darren called back exactly when he said he would. The ladies I spoke to from Legal and General were equally friendly, polite, efficient and also discrete. Considering some of the medical questions this was excellent.
I got the cover I needed at a price I could afford, through a service, I as a consumer desire.
