I ordered 6 books paid for them with my debit card. The charge cleared my account and a month later I was charged again an amount of $104.76. I did not order anything for that amount nor did I subscribe to anything. I want my $104.76 returned to me. I have been trying to contact their customer service and have not received a response.

MY DEBIT CARD WAS CHARGED 97.00 FOR SOMETHING THAT I DIDN'T ORDER.

I also was charged after a month receiving my order of three books. The digital free item attached to my order never stated it had to be cancelled in 30 days! I never clicked a button to add it to my order it just appeared leading me to think it was free. I never downloaded the code and never used it. This is definitely deceiving and I’m sure some people who don’t check their card statements have been taken. It’s a shame because their books are good but I will never order from them again!

One star is generous as I am now learning this AM of a fraudulent charge on my credit card from this company of a continuing subscription that was never placed by me. Reading countless reviews, I am seeing that I am not alone and it has occurred many times to other customers. Cancel this fraudulent subscription and remove this charge immediately!

Do not order books from them! Tracking number was never provided. Also, they secretly put an ebook app in your shopping car stating it's free. The following month you're charged $100 for it! Stay away! There are better sites out there that are trustworthy.

This company is a scam. They will send you the books you ordered then make unauthorized charges through PayPal.

I placed an order and a few weeks later they tried to charge my card an amount 3 time that of my ordinal order. Read other complaints and review their record with BBB and you will see this is their common practice.

Reading some of the negative reviews re charging unordered subscriptions. I bought 3 books a month ago. Now I've been dinged $90 for an annual subscription I never agreed to. These guys are bandits!!!

I purchased books. Then 1 month later they charged my credit card $124 for some digital library that I did not consent to. There are many reports of this happening on the Better Business Bureau.

How disappointing that I get a small, thin paperback that I ordered for $9.95 and get charged $38.06, in June.
Then in July, was billed $104.03. I had agreed to nothing more than the first book.
I have disputed the charges and will report to the BBB.

Horrible experience ……I tried purchasing a3 book bundle first with PayPal……that selection did not work and it sent me back to credit card…..next I put in info for My valid credit card 2 times and it declined it 2 times ……I deleted my info both times and now I feel like I have been scammed and someone may have stolen my info……….horrible and now I am calling my credit card to alert them!!!!!!

Horrible scam-like experience with this company! After making one purchase, PDIC began charging my visa $9.95/month for a digital subscription I never signed up for. I tried numerous times to contact them to demand they stop, only to discover there’s no way to communicate with them – emails bounce back "no reply' and instruct to contact customer service via website", which gives a menu of irrelevant options. Clicking one instructed me to submit my email to get a code to communicate, but no code ever arrived – I tried 4 times on 2 different browsers. Calling PDIC instructed me to go to website.

Only after complaining to Better Business Bureau did PDIC reverse the fraudulent charges from my visa. They had the gall to say I signed up for the subscription and were sorry its website code feature didn’t work when I tried.

Lastly, there appears no way to get off its junk marketing emails. I unsubscribed 2x but continue to get them – I’ve now blocked PDIC via my Google mail.

To date 59 complaints against PDIC with issues like mine are posted on BBB.

Horrible customer service. Watch out for the on-line access. You will be charged, and it is a monthly subscription! I bought over $300 worth of books, then noticed not one but two $9.95 charges for subscriptions I thought were free because I bought the books. Why would I buy books, if I can just access them. It would be one or the other. What is worse, since I must have misunderstood...You can't get a response. They tell you to make a ticket. No place to make a ticket. They even have the question on my account on their site, "What is this?" to explain why the on-line access. If it was so straight forward and above board, why do you need to tell people what they ordered? Is this a scam because people just get frustrated and give up? Is $20 really worth it? I would love a response!

I love to read books for my kids and I am so happy that puppy dogs and ice cream offer a lot of fantastic books. My kids really enjoy them. Kodus to their customer service team who are all approachable and friendly. Great job!

I am updating my review from 1 star to 3. After I submitted my original review, I received a phone call explaining there was a problem with the email messages getting routed correctly and some other issues. As a result, my order was then immediately shipped and I was refunded my shipping fee. I appreciate how the issue was promptly corrected once communication took place. I just wish the communication took place sooner as the books became a belated gift. But I do like the books I received and I would order from this company again.

This is a company with professionalism and INTEGRITY!! Response was immediate and follow up was immediate. Replacement was immediate and courteous! Both my order and replacement were received and I was told to donate or gift replacements...How generous! The children's books are beautifully illustrated. I highly recommend this children's books company.
