I tried to transfer money from a savings account direct to my bank for the
.. first time and it didn't work. I called and the gentleman helping was so clear, patient and polite. I wasn't made to feel daft but as my misunderstanding was totally normal. Very impressive thank you.

Customer Service were not helpful.
I tried to open an account with Raisin but it was blocked because of a previous account with Avivasave who use Raisin as a partner provider. Despite explaining the situation neither Raisin nor Aviva would take responsibility and passed the problem to the other. In the end I opened an account with an alternative company and was saving within 24 hrs.

From what you’ve described, the issue appears to relate to an existing account held through one of our partner providers, such as Aviva Save. Where this is the case, it can prevent a separate Raisin UK Account from being opened.
We appreciate this may feel like you were being passed between two companies, but Raisin UK is not able to close an account held directly with a partner provider on a customer’s behalf. That request needs to come from the account holder directly to the relevant provider. Once the existing partner account has been closed, a Raisin UK Account application can be reviewed again.
We’re sorry if this was not explained clearly at the time. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to help make this process clearer for customers in future.

Not a fan
I was trying this as an alternative to my current savings platform, and to be honest I prefer Raisin. However I feel their policy of contacting customers via email rather than using secure messaging is a serious security risk. When trying to change my bank details I received an email asking me to call a number…. Seriously? That sounds like a classic scam to me so I replied asking them to contact me via their secure messaging system to prove who they were, which they did, but that’s a red flag to me. I’ll be closing my account since communication via email puts both the customer and company at risk.
