The replacement “Premium” OLED phone screen I ordered arrived in a box marked as an inferior LED screen. I emailed the support team, who confirmed I had received an OLED screen. After this confirmation I opened the packaging and discovered it was actually an OLED. I had the screen installed, but if this is an example of a premium product, I’d hate to see a lower standard version. The colours look wrong by comparison to the original screen. They’re much cooler in tone. In certain apps, the graduation between areas of contrast looks patchy and dreadful. Certain areas of the screen respond to touch, but don’t recognise button press actions. The screen’s active display area is slightly smaller than the original too.
Unfortunately, I went away on holiday after getting the screen installed and wasn’t able to contact the support team to raise my concerns and have had to deal with a less than satisfactory product. I’m genuinely unimpressed by the screen and unwilling to consider Retail Outlet as a reputable company that I’d feel comfortable recommending to anyone, ever.
Buy cheap, buy twice would be good to bear in mind. However in this case I think Buy cheap, regret it forever would be more apt.

We appreciate your frustration regarding the differences you have noticed following installation. We would, however, like to clarify that the screen purchased is an aftermarket replacement, rather than a genuine manufacturer-original screen. As with all aftermarket parts, there can be differences compared with the original display, including colour temperature, brightness, touch sensitivity, display characteristics and the active display area. While these screens are designed as compatible replacements, they may not provide an identical experience to the original manufacturer screen.
Regarding the packaging being marked as an LED screen, our support team was able to confirm that the screen supplied was the correct OLED specification before you opened the packaging.
We are also disappointed that the concerns regarding the display and touch response were not raised with us when you returned from your holiday. We completely understand that you were unable to contact us while away; however, we would have appreciated being given the opportunity to investigate the issues and potentially resolve matters for you before a decision was made to leave a 1-star review. Had you contacted us upon your return, our team would have been happy to assess your concerns and advise on the available options.
We take customer feedback seriously, but we also believe it is important that we are given a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve any product concerns where possible.
We’re sorry that your experience has left you feeling unable to recommend us, and we would still welcome the opportunity to look into the issues you have described.
