Avoid. Appointed by Sedgwick loss adjusters…

Appointed by Sedgwick loss adjusters after an insurance claim in 2020- yes, 2020! We saw the reviews and asked for different builders but were declined. The work is still not finished(sept 2024- and it was only cosmetic, no structural work)- currently waiting for the roof to be fixed after scaffolding damaged it- think today was the sixth time they claimed they would be out to fix it and we get another no show. We have successfully claimed against the insurance company for employing these builders with the financial ombudsman over the length of time this has taken. Would advise avoid at all costs and go to the financial ombudsman if an insurance company employed them.

Absolutely dreadful - avoid at all costs

Flisher were appointed by Sedgwick loss adjusters on behalf of Admiral insurance to fix cracks and movement due to subsidence. From the start they were unhelpful with timings with the attitude "we'll do it when we do it". When they did finally do the job they made such a mess of it we have had to appoint new builders to strip out all the work they did and repair it properly. The insurance company have recognised that they butchered our house and paid a lump sum in compensation which won't cover the repairs. I wish I'd checked the reviews before I became another of their victims - if you're reading this before appointing them just don't.

Appointed by loss adjusters for Admiral…

Appointed by loss adjusters for Admiral in December 2019 when a car went through our front bay window. RL Flisher not only took ages to undertake the works but then left us with significant damp ingress on the front bay wall due to leaving lots of 'crud' in the repaired cavity that caused a damp bridge. Initially after repairing the wall, they also had to come back because we were getting full on water ingress into the house - there were holes beneath the 'repaired' wall through which rain water was flowing. Recently we were forced to accept a settlement (significantly less than the quote we received from another contractor) so we don't have to deal with them and our insurance company Admiral further and can get the repairs done correctly by some competent workmen. Simply put, we've had enough. Finally, during the works, RL Flisher didn't assess the room above the bay for damage which also needs some repairs. If I could offer up a zero star for this company I would.

Appointed by loss adjusters following…

Appointed by loss adjusters following fire at neighbour's property to replace drive, garage roof and garage door. 8 working days in to job, which is 7 months after event, and we are left in a worse situation than when they started. Company have only been on site for 2 full days and 2 half days. We now have a hole where once we had a driveway, and a large open space where once there was a wall, that they damaged removing the driveway and had to knock down.
No one seen on site for 2 days and no idea what is going on or when they will return.
If offered this company via insurance company to do work, decline, they are very poor.

A bad situation made worse.

Appointed by Crawford’s loss adjuster on behalf of NFU insurance in Spring 2018. . Whole thing was awful from beginning to end. Didn’t know how to fit profile tin roof. Had to stop them and point out it was wrong. Relatively quick job took longer than it should mainly due to very little being achieved in a day if indeed they actually turned up. Cigarette ends everywhere and oil from old vans dripping on driveway.
All of the above issues plus more were raised with insurance company during the time the work was being carried out.
Insurance gave me a small sum as apology.

Never again.

Avoid these cowboys

Legal and general appointed this company to carry out the full refurb of our kids playroom which was scheduled to be completed in 7 days,2 weeks before Xmas, what we actually got was the biggest disaster/bodge job ever! When we called numerous times to speak to Russel about our issues we were always told he was “out of the office” or “on another call” basically to cut along story short we had to have the independent surveyor round who along with two other independent building companies told us the whole work flishers had done was in fact so bad it would all need to be re done it has caused us no end of stress and inconvenience and to actually put your name to a job that was so awful is embarrassing the list of excuses was laughable they even had the cheek to lie about what they had said to myself then denying they had said that to my husband honestly avoid these at all costs were still waiting on that in that phone call back Russell from the 9th January 2018 when other building companies are aware of your shoddy work I’d really take note!! For bodge job pics email me ! I’d stand by that review all the way! Your house is your home

Avoid like the plague

Legal and general’s loss adjuster appointed these guys to refurb our house following a flood

At the outset they libelled me after their contractor left pipes dripping in the bathroom accusing us of disturbing the works they subsequently retracted their statements

Their plastering work is not flat and level

The wood flooring they laid does not have the same finish under any two doors, it does not reach the tiled floor in the kitchen dining room or cloak room

Finishing throughout is poor and paintwork of flawed throughout

The shower fitting in the bathroom is missing and has not been replaced despite promises

They have not reinstated architrave inside the boiler cupboard

In fact, the works were so bad that yesterday legal and generals survey/quality assurance team agreed to cash settle with me to have all the works redone!

Not good as have lived in hotels for 3 months whilst Flisher botched it
