Cheap nasty products from China Took ages and really disappointed. Not good value

Absolutely god awful. Wish I’d read the reviews before buying. Reporting to trading standards. Do not buy from this company. They don’t allow returns.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

I ordered a toy for my child. It arrived late and was a shocking quality and not as described.

I requested a refund within the 14 days. The first reply was asking for a video?! The second offered a 20% refund.

I will attempt a charge back with my credit card company but it is a complete scam website.

I wish I read the reviews before purchasing.

This is just another website meant for you to believe this is your local small business but all is coming from China.
I ordered something for my kid and not only for the quality poor, the product description was misleading and therefore the end product overpriced.
The timelines for delivery were said to be 7 to 12 days but actually 15 days.
You are responsible for shipping and return fees to China with tracking.
This whole experience feel like a scam and I am so disappointed I got tricked.
Stay away!

I would strongly advise against using Richmond rose.
Placed an order on 31st January and it arrived 6th March. I emailed them several times and was just told it was on its way. No explanation, no apology just left me wandering if it would ever arrive. Absolutely shocking customer service and would never have used them if I had read the reviews first.

I purchased gifts for Christmas on December 14, 2023. We saw the advertisement on Instagram. I read about the company before purchasing. It stated they were a family owned business in the UK serving Europe. I read reviews. Thought it was legitimate but as soon as I bought the items it showed I paid China. I waited almost a month and the items finally came. One was incorrect. They were extremely inferior quality and very high priced. The pictures were very deceptive. And I'm still trying to get my money back for the incorrect item and they just want to send me the correct one. And after waiting almost a month and all the aggravation, realizing you are definitely not dealing with a family owned business in the UK I would never recommend for anyone to use this site or buy any of these products.

Eventually offered me a refund after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing about the issues I’d experienced. They’ve ignored me ever since - assume they were never planning on giving me a refund

Do not trust or buy any products from this company. I ordered a Paint and Play set for my Granddaughter on the 25th November they claim it has been delivered they give you a tracking number which tells you nothing I`ve chased Royal Mail to see if the postman took it back to the depot No! I`ve asked for a credit and they are refusing so £35.94 Scam any suggestions how to get my money back?

Products come from China and took 2.5 weeks. I paid £33 for a painting set for my grandchild. A tiny box turned up with 4 tiny plastic bottles of unlabelled paint and 4 tiny plastic shapes! I would not feel comfortable letting my grandchild use the paint, a total scam!! Have reported to my bank.

I would give zero if I could. Ordered some toys arrived broken, boxes bashed. Been going back and forth with them for refund. End up claiming through my credit card. Do not order from them. Website looks like made in UK but is cheap toys for
China. Even with broken toys delivered they expect you to pay for return. Absolutely disgusting company. All comments from IG and Facebook been deleted

I ordered some Childs building blocks.
It’s only that they have took weeks to arrive I looked up where they were shopped from. I would never have ordered from China.
Sly company name very English sounding.
Never order from China without reading reviews.

I ordered a product which proved to be faulty and to comply with their terms and conditions, had to pay for the return to China and in the original packaging which I had already recycled.

The product was poorly made and did not work!

I would suggest that you do not order from this company!

Total scammer. received faulty item and they asked to send the item back which will cost more than the actual item bought on the website. super SCAMMER! AVIODS!!!

One small part of the toy was slightly damaged but made the toy difficult to use. Richmond rose sent a whole new
Replacement. My 3 year grandson loves
Using the different controls to move the cars around the track. It’s good for his
Co ordination and there are no batteries.
His 5 and 7 year old cousins enjoy it also.

Awful experience. Agree with other commenters, this is a scam business. Will report to standards agency also. Returned item to return address sent on my package. Was told this is the courier, not the supplier and I had to pay shipment to China. No refund in sight. Appalling service.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is an unclaimed TrustPilot profile because of course it is. Why anyone would want to claim ownership of this company I don't know.

This website appears to be a UK Based kinda classy website but it's operated out of China. Now China doesn't equate "bad" or "bad quality". You try making it a day without using something made in China. But unfortunately this isn't mentioned ANYWHERE on their website including on their returns policy so when you buy something, not only is the delivery date wildly unrealistic, but returns are not free and will likely cost you more than the item to return. This is I believe how they are continuing to operate as people will just give in and keep a bad quality product.

My own experience is as follows:
I bought a Build & Beyond TM Car Kit "to engage kids in their STEM skills". It looked snazzy and to this day still claiming to be reduced to £29.99 from £59.99. I bought two for some kids in the family.

What I recieved was "Car Adventure" by "First Step" which has really bad English on the box for instructions. Completely different packaging and not the high quality feel of the product on the website. The English was so bad, I wish I could attach a photo. One of the steps says "pop down pink button then wheelbarrow pop up and absorbed by plane". One of the benefits on the box says "The children arouse limitless imagine during playing". Absolutely not the STEM "Build & Beyond TM" product advertised.

I later found the First Steps Car Adventure toy on Amazon for £20.99. Advertised as made in China. During my complaint with Richmond Rose, they claimed they designed this item in the UK. This product was never worth £59.99. I told them that I had found out their lies and they never acknowledged it, only ever offering me a voucher for another purchase or part refund.

They refused to refund me and eventually said if I returned the item I could be refunded in full. BUT they suggest I use tracked return and that I would need to pay for it. Untracked return to China costs just under £50 and Tracked costs nearly £75. The items totalled £53. They knew what they were doing. I repeatedly said I would be glad to return it if they paid for the tracked label.

I raised a complaint with PayPal as thankfully I used the PayPal checkout and I won my case. They offered to refund for a return via PayPal and PayPal initially resolved it but I phoned to explain the out of pocket nature of returning the item and I won.

I recommend avoiding this company and I will now be moving on to liaising with Trading Standards.

This company also operates under the name home and oak! Same company same policies same terrible scam. Please avoid and don’t believe their website reviews - they are either fake or skewed because they only publish positive ones!

This company is a scam operating out of China with “believable” adverts on Instagram. AVOID AT ALL COSTS .. SCAMMERS!!!!
I have reported as a scam on Instagram and will be reporting them to the British standard association.

Likewise believe this company to be a complete scam. The item I paid for wasn’t delivered despite their fraudulent claims that it was. I haven’t been able to get any answers from them let alone a refund. Do not use them…
