If you're thinking about using Rise think again. I went with Rise as they were the only ones that said they could provide service to me. I felt the price that was quoted was higher than other companies were charging but didn't really have other options at the time. I saw price increases as we went along and I did complain about them, resulting in very modest price reductions. When a much lower price option became available I called to cancel my service and was told that I would have to pay for the full month of service even though I would not be using their service any longer. I questioned that and management was really firm, pay or be referred for collection. No mention of my having to OK the final payment. The account was setup on auto pay. Two months later I get a letter from a collection agency. Remember the account is setup on auto pay. I sent over an hour on the phone with first the collection company and then Rise. I've spent more pleasant hours before. We did resolve the issue by me paying the demanded money. If you're thinking about using Rise, think again. There are better choices out there

Constant outages here in Indiana, would not recommend. Average uptime of 40% at most.

This is the most unreliable internet service. Once it is down-which is frequent-their customer service is AWFUL.
You should use any other available service. This is awful and they do nothing.

For any of you old enough to remember Rise Fibre is like Hotel California.. you can never leave.
On Tuesday 9th Sept I was lured by the promise of £22 for broadband, although it was a 24 month contract, but hey that’s fine I thought.
I then read the T&Cs. It goes up £3.00 in March 26, then again in September, then again in March 27- and yes again in September, so I decided to cancel….
One week later, countless minutes waiting for someone to pick up the phone, each time I was assured my order had been cancelled, despite them sending out. router and arranging for an engineer to visit one week later, and me sending them three formal complaints.
Today, lo and behold the Engineer turned up.
I have never in my life known such a shower, quite honestly I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole, all they are interested in is getting the Sales. The way their system and website works is that the ONLY way to contact them is via the 0333 number and should you decide to cancel they are adept at telling you that you’ve got the wrong department and to phone again.
Absolutely disgusted, and this is from someone who’s never written a bad review.

Decent speeds and reliability is a plus. Customer service is awesome as you can actually talk to a human. Rise is a good value and looking forward to doing business with them for years to come.

I’m not a Rise customer and I notice the 5 star reviews are for installations and actual user reviews are pretty low. I’m so disappointed. I was hoping to change over to them and now I see I might be trading one headache for another. Sigh. Why can’t we just find affordable and reliable service. Back to the drawing board.
Well, I got a nice response back from rise after writing this review I don’t know if they are a good company or not but at least they listened. Come to find out even though I get mailers at my address from them, their Internet is not available at my address. Go figure that out!
I am now happily signed up with next link and can’t wait for my installation!

Over the years we have had some problems with their service. For the last two weeks our internet connection has been going on and off. Problem is we live in the mountains. Our cell phones and TV run off the internet. Internet goes down, no TV no cell phone. So, when I finally was able to get Someone to help me, they found my dish needs to be readjusted. Told me it would take 8 days before they could get anyone out to fix. That is ridiculous! So Al most 3 weeks without cell phone, TV and internet. Worst company ever!

Terrible service. I have been without internet for over a week. It took Rise Broadband 8 days to send a technician out, only for the technician to say that Rise Broadband's towers will no longer be able to provide internet to my home. Making matters even worse, Rise Broadband refuses to offer a full refund for the month where I've been without service. Please avoid Rise Broadband at all costs.

I’ve had Rise for 5 years, I never got close to the download speeds they promised, and after a year I called and was told that their equipment at the tower I am using will never hit those speeds.
Lately I have at least 1 day a week without service.
Bye Bye Rise.

The tech was very cordial & informative.
He was punctual & effective.

If I could give zero stars I would! Numerous techs out, 10 hours on calls with their service department, tech (back end) and finally retention....it all adds up to the same thing...unreliable internet, throttled by them, unmet promises and excuses. Always pleasant to speak with someone there....but they aren't interested in solving the issue...just passing the buck to someone else....I had to stop the insanity and move to another service. Ta Ta Rise.... Buyer BEWARE!!
