I booked a flight for a family holiday. Horrible not professional

I booked a flight for a family holiday on April 13th. However, for some reason, the flight was canceled. Their agent suggested booking from another airport, so my agent rebooked the flights. But then, Jordan Airlines canceled my flights again.

This issue started on February 17th, and after nearly a month of back-and-forth, they finally closed my case and issued a refund for my tickets. However, I had booked my package holiday four months ago, and now the same trip costs me £1,800 more.

Their management showed no interest in resolving the situation. I called every day, four times a day, and they kept making excuses, saying they were too busy. What kind of airline management takes almost a month to fix an issue? Absolutely the worst airline experience!

Ruined my umrah

I’ve booked a flight back in October for me to go to umrah on 13/03/2025 but RJ rescheduled my flight for 02/03/2025 without my knowledge the funny part is they want me to stay in Amman until 14/03/2025 as a transit wait for my original flight in Amman customer service is nonexistent tried everything for them to understand this can’t happen but they insisted there’s no other option but to take that flight 11 days earlier my flight was from Stansted and they have another flight from Heathrow at same date but they won’t reschedule me from different airport so my advice is to avoid this airline as you can see on here trust pilot there’s no single positive review and I’ll make sure to let know as much people as I can avoid avoid avoid

Booked and paid business class some 6…

Booked and paid business class some 6 months in advance from Istanbul to Bangkok (Feb 19, 2025) only to be downgraded two weeks before flight time on the Istanbul-AMMAN leg. There was no offer of refund, use of lounge, upgrade to front row economy, nothing! On top of that, the whole RJ network lied by emails and at check in that I could use the lounge and that within 3 days someone would get in touch with refund documentation. I’ve seen none of it and was turned down at Istanbul Business class lounge. The airline intentionally screw passengers in every way.

I booked a flight trip from London to Jeddah Booking.com on Jordanian Air. I suppose to fly from London on 16th Mars, but it has changed to 18th Mars two days after. Furthermore, I prebooked and paid the hotel in Makkah. Then I called both to transfer to an alternate aeroplane, but they said there are no flights available that week. I told them I am willing to 18th if they compensate the two days I paid the hotel, they refused to pay me. I will never book again from booking.com and air Jordanian.

Unstoppable email spam

Didn’t fly with them yet but booked a flight directly via the airline website (not some other booking platform) and they keep bombarding me with spam emails… daily calls to upgrade or purchase extra services. And no way to unsubscribe from these. This is a direct violation of the CAN-SPAM law and may be illegal and could result in hefty fines for the company! Hopefully some lawyers pick this up and sue Royal Jordanian for unlawful conduct.

AVOID ROYAL JORDANIAN! THE WORST AIRLINE COMPAGNY EVER!!!

I am writing this review to express my deep frustration with Royal Jordanian Airlines. Without a doubt, this has been the worst airline experience I’ve ever had!!

My flight was initially scheduled to depart at 11:10 AM on January 5th, but after an 11-HOUR DELAY , it finally took off at 10:15 PM the same day. Despite multiple attempts requesting a refund, Royal Jordanian flatly refused to take any responsibility. They claimed the delay didn’t qualify for a refund, even though the delay was so excessive.
I’ve traveled extensively, but Royal Jordanian is by far the worst company I’ve ever flown with. Their lack of professionalism, customer care, and unwillingness to offer refunds is shocking.

I would strongly advise all travelers to avoid flying with Royal Jordanian Airlines. They have shown no regard for their passengers and have completely failed in terms of customer service. I will never fly with them again!!!

Avoid avoid avoid!

This is by far the worst airline my family has ever dealt with. My mom traveled with them over the weekend, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. First, they extended her layover to nine hours with less than 24-hour notice, completely ruining her plans and causing significant inconvenience.

To make matters worse, the same carry-on she traveled with was suddenly deemed unacceptable on the return flight, and they forced her to pay an additional $200 on top of the already extortionate ticket price. This is pure exploitation, especially considering the inconsistency in their rules.

Their customer service is appalling—they don’t respond to complaints or inquiries, leaving customers feeling ignored and frustrated.

I wouldn’t recommend this airline to anyone. There are cheaper airlines that offer better service, fairer prices, and a lot less hassle. Save your time, money, and sanity—avoid Royal Jordanian Airlines at all costs!

Subject: Complaint Regarding Incident on Flight RJ 126 on 08.01.2025

Dear Sir or Madam,

Today, I traveled on flight RJ 126 from Frankfurt to Amman (departure: 13:50, seat: 16A). During the flight, I was served a meal that contained a large stone. Unfortunately, I accidentally bit into it, which caused one of my teeth to be damaged and cracked.

Since then, I have been experiencing severe pain, which continues to persist. The flight attendant was informed of the incident and also saw the stone.

I kindly request that you contact me regarding a resolution for the damage and the pain I am enduring.

They lost our ZamZam water

We returned back to London yesterday after performing a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. We made a huge error in choosing this airline for our trip. Many passengers and I were left waiting for almost two hours at baggage claims for our ZamZam water. The person at the Global Solutions Baggage Helpdesk gave us a letter from the airline informing us that they will help look for our water but only "purely out of a curtesy basis". Reading this infuriated me. They even added that the airline "will not compensate for the missing ZamZam water". The letter included a number for passengers to call to check if the water has been found. I called the line five times today but there was no answer.

Please do yourselves a favour and do NOT ever book with this airline.

They are an absolute joke and lack decency and customer care.

The worst airline I have travelled with and I have seen the worst of the worst.

I booked a flight with my 4 year old…

I booked a flight with my 4 year old son and wife. They separated all of us with no option to be all together (even if we wanted to pay for it). They only allowed us to select seats for the first connecting flight, but not the second).

This meant that both myself and my wife were separated from our sick 4 year old child - a hardly believable situation. They pleaded with other customers to allow my son to sit with my wife.

The question is: why does the airline not have the common sense to automatically place a 4 year old child with one of their parents? Why the need to always separate out everyone for no reason and create chaos with lots of people trying to swap?

We had to beg people to allow mother and 4 year old child to be together. Humanity is reaching new lows. RJ’s way of dealing with it is asking you to ask other people once you are on the flight, instead of sorting out the problem themselves in the first place. A stressful experience.

Just to also state that on both flights yesterday, not once were we offered tea or coffee (one was short haul and the other a 6hr long haul flight). It’s a basic thing that should have been offered.

Not worth even the 1 star

Not worth even the 1 star. Worst experience ever a transit that was supposed to be 1h it became 20h gave us an hotel room that's disgusting. On the way back they canceled the flight and book us another one after 6 hours without any excuses. First and last time I book with this unprofessional and unrespectful airline

Best airline

Best airline ever pilots handled turbulence well and I didn’t like the chicken with mushroom so they replaced it for me even though I ate from it crew were very nice and understandable and I enjoyed the ride! ROYAL JORDANIAN!!

It's not even worth 1 star it's shits plain I ever traveld with after ryanair coz from manchester plain don't have screen and not even any updates on flight we didn't hear a word from captain coz i believe he was new and didnt know anything other than flighing all the way to jordan and it's expensive so the plain needs upgrade I'll never flight with that shit again travel date was 9th/11/2024 and never again and there was a arab guy who had 5 bags 🎒 he came and put the cabinet full for 2 people and we had to give our cabinet suitcase to them for checking !!!

I am absolutely appalled by my…

I am absolutely appalled by my experience with this airline. After a long and exhausting flight, I arrived at my destination only to discover that my luggage—filled with irreplaceable items and medication—had been lost. This was not just an inconvenience; it was a complete disaster, and the airline staff offered no real assistance.

The customer service was shockingly unhelpful. I was met with indifferent attitudes and vague responses when I inquired about my luggage. They claimed they would look into it, but I received no follow-up, no updates, and no real apology for the situation. It felt like they simply didn't care about my belongings or my distress.

To make matters worse, the process to file a lost luggage report was a nightmare. I spent over an hour navigating through a maze of paperwork, only to be told that I might have to wait weeks for any resolution. I can't believe that an airline with such a supposed reputation can't manage something as basic as ensuring passengers' luggage arrives with them.

This airline has completely failed in its responsibility to its travelers. If you value your belongings and want a stress-free travel experience, I highly recommend avoiding this airline at all costs. My trust in them has been shattered, and I will think twice before booking a flight with them again. Absolutely unacceptable!

Cannot contact them or complain if you have a bad experience.

Had a bad experience on a recent flight from Amman to London and was instructed by the stewardess to contact RJ on arriving home. It when trying to do this that I discovered that you cannot give negative feedback to them or make a complaint, their customer survey & website are cleverly designed to block you from doing so - which is great for them but not so good for you! Both avenues ultimately lead to dead ends so you can't contact them about your bad experience. RJ are probably proud of themselves for doing this but at the end of the day it doesn't work - customers just won't use them again.

Genuinely unpleasant and unreliable

I dismissed the bad reviews for this airline. I thought that the reviews were just from disgruntled passengers who didn't get what they wanted or expected a first-class experience. That was my mistake. Royal Jordanian Air is a total disaster. We got on our flight early Saturday morning from Cairo to Amman Jordan. The plane took off and 30 minutes into a 1 hour flight they turned around and went back to Cairo for "electrical issues". After an hour on the tarmac we were asked to disembark. Total chaos after the disembarkation. It was fend for yourself until the next flight goes out which was 12 hours later. No instructions, no place to rest, go back out of security and start over. Second flight was over an hour late and that fight was just to take us to Amman where we had to spend the night in a disgustong, smoke-filled airport hotel and then catch our flight to the US the next day. We had upgraded for extra room, nope forget it. Middle seats, no room. Royal Jordanian Air had no ability to work with other airlines to get you home in a timely manner. We had to wait for the next international flight which was exactly 24 hours later. Total and absolute chaos. Even the Egyptians and Jordanians called it an absolute "Shiz Show". Royal Jordanian Air demonstrated both incompetence on the front end and an inability to make it right on the back end. Either they chose not to put any effort into making it right or they had no ability to do so. Either way it makes for very unreliable international travel. I will never fly this airline again.
